Potrei descrivere questo momento in una sola frase; "la quiete prima della tempesta". Uno dei momenti più dolci di tutto il gioco, loro due intenti a parlare delle proprie paure e delle proprie speranze, in quell'atmosfera magica... davvero impagabile. Tutti sapevano che la battaglia finale con Sephiroth era proprio dietro l'angolo, eppure in quell'istante il tempo sembrava congelato. Awww, adoro quella parte!

When I first played this as a teen, I was like, "Yes. Bout time Cloud got laid." Okay, I actually was very happy for them.
Indeed! Nefi created artwork for when Barret is getting aggressive on the train back from the first mission, for the dolphin-jumping and for Cloud recalling a certain pair of panties during a Kalm flashback.

Everyone got ready for final battle with Sephiroth. After they had come this far, there was no going back.
Mona really setting the tone for this fight. It's all or nothing now!
And that means it's time for the song to end all songs (well... all but two songs).

This end game felt kind of sad to me - like Sephiroth knew he was going to lose. Even though he might have known, he stubbornly pressed onward, leading to his demise :(

In my first playthrough of FFVII to say I was Ill-prepared for this fight was an understatement! I had not used any FAQ's and none of my friends had told me in detail what happened, so I was completely in the dark..... and it was phenomenal!
The feeling of finally reaching the game's main antagonist after the painfully long dungeon of Northern Crater, was as climactic as they come with teh combination of epic music and splitting your party members up to tackle the various parts to this boss.... If only I had focused on other team members apart from Cloud, Barret and Red XIII it probably wouldn't have been so difficult!
Fighting this boss was both a moment of exhilaration and relief once I eventually beat it, after the struggle through Northern Crater and JENOVA ABSOLUTE.... and then disbelief after the battle as it became clear that this wasn't even Sephiroth's final form....
Nothing quite summed up the epic nature of this game quite like battling it out with a god in the earths core to save the planet! And it is a moment that still gives me goosebumps with every playthrough.

Did you guys have that moment when you first played the game, blind, and didn't realise there would be a second version of Sephiroth? I used all my stuff on the first guy going all out, and then that happened and oh God I died so bad and gave up on finishing the game for a looong time afterwards.

How in the world can The Party possibly survive a comet-induced expansion of the sun that gobbles up entire planets?! Who knows. But I was very excited to draw one of the iconic several-minutes-long attacks from Final Fantasy that have always been near and dear to my heart. And not to mention, one of the most wicked final bosses!

When I first played Final Fantasy VII I didn't use a guide like everyone else, so when I got to Sephiroth the first time I don't think I was fully prepared to fight him. Now, having played it about seven times, this ending is one of my favorites in the genre.

I depicted this scene with the flowers Aeris grew in the Slum church because it is sort of Cloud's memory and what he fondly remembers her for. I see her as a beacon for hope for him so seeing her reach out to him was like, for him, that everything would be okay now despite all the chaos happening around him.
Such a good end to that fight! I wonder about sephiroth and his red life stream bits entering cloud though.

It doesn't matter what danger this heroine finds herself in. She will always be there to catch and support her friends...--even if that means she has to fall herself, literally. The moment she reaches out for Cloud and has her mind dead set on being with him was the moment Tifa had stormed into my heart and stayed there. This scene was one of my favourites and the next moment the ensures after this is even more heartwarming! Tifa is one amazing woman to be able to face danger like this to be with the one she cherishes!

Not enough FFVII stuff for you guys? I have a cool series for you to watch then! There is this guy known as "The Completionist" that reviews games while doing every last thing in them. Not too long ago, he and his team did a FFVII special. It features interviews/perspectives from other e-famous people you may or may not be familiar with. Overall, it's just a satisfying series to watch. Clear some time, though, because these are lengthy videos.
Side Note: Some of the humor may be groan worthy for some.

That Cid's theme remix is smurfing incredible. That's easily one of my favorite tracks in the game (I even learned how to play it on the recorder! XD)
A little bummed Cait Sith didn't get more love.. He's my dude & I <3 him. But, the few pictures that were added were amazing- as with all the other artwork. There's too much that I had to go through and I have terrible short term memory, so I can't really point things out.
This was an awesome project. And yes, I hope this will happen again ext year & VIII will get covered.
Everyone worked so hard and did such and amazing job. I'm honored that all these artist were willing to come together for this event on EoFF's birthday. Every single piece was moving and you can tell the dedication and hardwork of not only artist but as fans.

I am suffering from a lack of sleep and I'm forgetting what I'm doing a lot. You could say my brain is very Cloudy today. Get it? Get it? Oh man, this is all I've got, guys! Save me. Send me to bed. But... but right after I do more editing of project stuff. :stare: WHAT IS SLEEP DO I NEED IT I DON'T KNOW. I need to get myself a Cait Sith styled robot to do my work for me. xD
EDIT: Although you guys may be proud to know that, using the video I have created from all this art, I explained the full story of FFVII to my in-laws. I don't think Christine was really paying too much attention but Daniel (father-in-law, not me) was kind of getting his head around it... vaguely. xD It's definitely got it's complexity going for it, huh?

I really need to catch up on this thread but 32 pages... that's like weekend reading (shame I work weekends huh!) xD Some of the art on the first couple of pages was fantastic so I'm sure there's many more treats in store.

Thank you to Loony BoB for inviting me to be a part of this amazing project! I'm absolutely blown away by the scale of this endeavor and by the immense talent of the other artists-- it's pretty breathtaking. I'm also really impressed with the people that were able to produce multiple entries (Ben198810 and LadyJuxtaposition come to mind but there were many others!) I think my favorite part of this was seeing everyone's interpretations; sometimes it was done in that artist's unique style, sometimes it emulated official concept art, others went the Advent Children route.
I look forward to the next project and hope that I can contribute once again! (And if I can be extra selfish and add my two cents, I personally would be overjoyed for a VIII themed project...!)

Just watched the entire video. I know an hour might seem a long time but you really owe it to yourself to do it, it's fantastic. Everyone did an awesome job, it was wonderful to go through this story again. I've finished playing ffvii so many years ago, this really brought back memories :')
