Eyes on Final Fantasy has been fortunate enough to play host to a number of great artist. These are the ones who have shown themselves to be extremely adept at creating masterpieces that show both an understanding of the finer details of art, as well as the ability to seamlessly blend different aspects together to create a memorable and unique image.

The first is a well known artist on EoFF who has shown his skill many times over. black orb has steadily produce great pieces and shared them with us here, most recently Fenix. He is also quite well known for his RPG request thread, which is currently in hiatus. An oldbie from way back in 2000, he will hopefully continue to produce more artwork, especially with his new Graphire Tablet. :)

Next, we have KoShiatar. Formerly known as Werecanary, she just joined this year, and soon began to show us her artwork. She has already shown a great eye detail, with her most recent work in the Artist Gallery being The Summoner of Bahamut. You can find more of her artwork on her Deviant Art page. :)

Our next nominee is someone who has also been here for almost three years now. Rye has done a variety of forms of art, from photographs to drawings to vector art. One of her latest pieces is a collection of photographs entitled Bubbles and Plants~. She will hopefully continue to take her camera with her and show us more of what she can do. :)

Sweden must have some great art schools, because that’s where our next artists hails from. Shimeng has been with us for not even four months, yet she has shown us that great artists come everywhere. Her pencil artwork is excellent, and her latest piece, Portrait/really early Christmas gift, is a portrait of our next nominee. :)

themagicroundabout has been with us since about the beginning of this last summer, and, like most here, soon began to post her artwork. She has recently began to do portraits, giving some members a personalized picture of themselves in her EoFF Portraits thread, which has seen a good amount of success. Dealing in Paint (the program, not medium) and pencil, she will hopefully show us some more works soon. :)

All of the aforementioned artist have excellent skills in their fields. Without them, Eyes on FF would almost certainly be missing a key component that makes it so unique. However, unfortunately, only one of these skilled artists can hold the Ciddie for the Best Artist of EoFF.

So one rainy day I was walking along in southern France (Well, it may have been Western France, but you can’t tell as all of France looks the same [okay, so I’ve never been there]) and I saw this billboard with the words “Best Custom Rank—Vote Now, EoFF Ciddies 2005” and was quite astonished. Whatever did this mean? Was it a sign of the apocalypse, some sort of dire warning of a threat to all mankind? Then I came to my senses and realized this was just the Ciddies. And some of these so-called “members” had these things called “Custom Ranks.” Silly, I know, but we tend to pride ourselves in foolish things, no? Anyway, the member of Eyes on Final Fantasy with the most grin-inducing, chuckle-worthy, praise-deserving, witty, kick-ASS Custom Rank is...

In the End of Year Ciddies of 2003 and the Year Ciddies of 2004, this award was dominated by Rye winning rather comfortably each time but just dropping out in the June 2004 Ciddies to Chaos despite getting the most nominations, Xander broke Rye's apparent strangle hold on the award in the last June Ciddies, since Xander failed to make the nominations for this award this time around will a new member rise to the title, or will Rye reclaim old lost territory?

Only three familiar faces this time around in relation to the June Ciddies, Rye, Resha and Faris were the only ones nominated for both Ciddies this year, with Kami being nominated earlier, it is surprising that only 4 of the 12 members have been nominated for this award before with only one nominee to have won it previously since the award was put into the regular fixtures in the mid-year Ciddies of 2002.

So, with 8 newcomers to the award this one seems very much up for grabs, however without further delay, here is Award Guy with the results, drumroll please :)
