Cloud's Climhazzard has 999 damage potential against any opponent with ≥1000 HP.
That's the first half, and the second? (Two part question)
Regardless of what your answer is, Masamune answered them both in a single sentence, that fits both halves of the question.
I suppose so. That's the problem with getting your mind locked around one answer. All right, his go.
Thanks, Red. :)
Okay, this one should be fairly easy. What's the significance of the strange level names NOGIAS and MLAPAN in Deep Dungeon?
Saigon and Napalm.
of course what those names actually signify int he context of Tactics is less clear. I guess the makers like Apocalypse Now, or the Vietnam War, or whatever.
It could be some obscure hint at something, which might give us another thread to make as lord knows we've beaten everything ELSE about this game to death already.
Seriously though I don't know of any significance to the names beyond the fact that they are those two words spelled backwards.
All the levels of Deep Dungeon refer to Apocalypse Now (or at least the Vietnam War).
Nogias is Saigon, the capital of South Vietnam.
Terminate is from a common CIA phrase 'Terminate with Extreme Prejudice', i.e. 'Assassinate'.
Valkyries is a reference to Wagner's 'Ride of the Valkyries', which is blasted from a helicopter during a raid on a village.
Delta is a reference to the Mekong delta, where the river meets the ocean.
Mlapan is Napalm the inflammable substance used to burn trees and villages.
Tiger is an animal common to Asia, often featured in folklore.
Bridge could refer to any number of bridges along the rivers.
Voyage accurately describes the experiences of the main characters.
Horror is a reference to Kurtz's line about 'The Horror'.
End is self-explanitory.
eestlinc and BG-57 are certainly correct in observing the references to the Vietnam War and Apocalypse Now. All I needed, however, was the observation that those two levels can be reversed in order to reveal the ideal word(s). You're up, BtV, but excellent work from the rest of you as well.
Actually I think I'm going to abdicate in favor of BG-57 on this one, I think he deserves it more than I do and I can't think of a question.
You sure Behold the Void? Thanks. :)
Question: What's the 'noisiest' Unexplored Land in the game?
Pandemonium, most likely, although it could also be the Tower of Babel. I'll go with the former.
Correct Masamune1600! :)
A whole bunch of demons howling together would be, well pandemonium. ;)
Awesome.
Let's see....
If every ally is directly from the story (no generics), what is the maximum number of characters that can learn Zodiac?
