could it be a Black Waltz?

waiting here -- all of them were waiting untill you fought them or something
anticipating twilights end -- the end of twilight is like the beginning of darkness
in hope of finding love -- they were helping the queen get garnet
fighting sickness -- sickness as in mistakes from the other waltzes

void was my brawl;
it drenched me -- I think that semi-colon is there saying the emptiness drenched 'me' as in Rantzien was wet drenched from the emptiness of that bit because he might've not liked it.

So my guess is the Black Waltzes

The Black waltzes is wrong, and Pure Quin, you're going off-track again. Your previous reasoning was better.

Void was my brawl; if it is tears Pure Quin then the brawl would be the cause of it. They would be fighting something emotionally and then realise what they wan't wont happen.
it drenched me. but I don't think this is about tears because the word Drenched doesn't support it. Drowned would probably make more sense for tears. Drenched is more water thrown onto whatever, drowned is more in the surroundings of water struggling. Also tears are associated more with Drowning in tears.

words are all about the riddles making. You can't just throw any words in to expect people to know the answer. You said to look at the sentences in full, well now you're saying to concentrate on the words? Which is it.

anticipating twilight's end <--- expecting alot of trouble/bad things to happen
in hope of finding love <--- realising she wants to be back with Cid, even though he had an affair.
fighting sickness <---- The guilt of what she did.

Void was my brawl; <---- Her argument / way of handling the situation was worthless, as it left her lost and alone with no one to protect her or look after her.
it drenched me. (upset her?)

it's been too long, the rules state that after 2 pages, if no-one gets it you must give us the answer.

But it is definately a monster I'm sure of it.

Fantasy Fan, I can't find any rules that say that, however it seems that people are growing tired of the riddle and the least thing I want to be is a pain in the ass. If it is the public's wish to be rid of this riddle then so be it, I'll give the answer out.

No, people complained about Thingfish's riddles being too long, now THAT was a long riddle. Don't give the riddle out, just give more hints. You obviously worked hard on it so don't let it go to waste. Giving it out will annoy alot of people anyway because alot of people have put hard work into trying to figure it out. I'd say about 6 pages is max for a riddle, thingfish's was over 30.

Yeah, ignore the *nasty word :eek: * people. Don't give us the answer unless everyone stops posting and dies or summat. And even then leave it a week or two hehe. You'll regret it if you do give the answer, cos it's fun when people find it out and you go "OmFgZZZ!!! U GT IT! WEL DON!" or something along those lines :D

So I went off track? I reckon I must've gone off track with Void was my brawl; so that would mean that the answer talked tough but couldn't fight.

Or it might be with sickness. I think I'll just leave that alone hehe...there's plenty of other lines :D

then what is it? What magic does it use if it uses magic.

edit: "void was my broil; it drenched me" is probably linked to "sickness"

Another hint that may actually help you :p: It's not an enemy.

The first thing that poped into my head then was friendly monster. The one that gives 50AP points. Dunno why it did. They don't fit with the riddle.
