Riceboy Sleeps - Jonsi and Alex
Turnin' on the Screw - Queens of the Stone Age
aphex twin - matchsticks
"Cemetaries of London" - Coldplay
I will admit it; this one is taking roots somewhere in my cerebrum. :erm: While not quite up to par with "Viva La Vida", there is a certain smooth, energetic morbidity to "Cemetaries of London" that is quite . . . something.
I'm listening to Midwest Choppers Remix with Tech N9Ne and Twista, since rapping really fast is hard to do, and I like to make attempts to imitate it, even though I fail at it miserably.
Bob Sinclar feat. Sugarhill Gang - La La Song (Tocadisco Remix)
A true song of the summer '09!
Some Fear Factory bootleg that I just downloaded. Never heard them post -Dino Cazares live...so far it's alright. Too bad all the songs are in one big track. ;/

I absolutely hate the band name, but the band is really nice.
Amaranth - Nightwish
"Safe and Sound" -- Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete
Freaking addicted for the past while. *_* That main guitar riff, so simple, is incredibly invigorating. Of note, also, is the vocal interplay between Gerard Way (anyone more familiar with My Chemical Romance than I will appreciate this more, no doubt) and Kyosuke Himuro. The Japanese appear to favor a certain versatile, "bouncing" quality to the vocals in their rock/pop music; I have heard it from Gackt, and it is evident here. Simultaneously, Gerard Way uses his voice to a similarly versatile, yet completely different effect. Consequently, that same guitar riff never gets old. Just a weird style that pays off wonderfully by the end.
Don't know whose idea it was to search for talent in the American rock scene, or who it was that had to sift through the sheer amount of material the genre has produced, but, I say again, it works. Awesome track, associated with a fairly mediocre film, which helps to elevate the latter slightly (at significantly lower production cost than the unparalleled CG, no doubt ). Although, mostly, it is just a good song in its own right.
Konami Kukeiha Club - Alone In the Town.
Chae Yeon - Shake
Thom York - The Eraser, followed by Analyze.
I adore... adore his solo album.
Aura Lee by Aarktica.

Lilium Cruentus (Deus Nova) by Pain of Salvation.
WHAT WHAT IN THE BUTT

Shakira - La Loba/She Wolf =]
I'm listening to the most awesomely geeky song ever.
I've become quite the fan of this group recently. They lyrics to both this and 'Guitar Hero Hero' are both fun and well written. Not really masterpieces mind you, but the humor in their music is great for someone like me. ;)
That and the chick in guitar Hero Hero is hot...
Found unreleased tracks from DOOM
lmfao they're all total ripoffs of Slayer and Alice In Chains songs
Reverie, by Claude DeBussy.
His works are amazing. They are so calming, and bring me the greatest peace and happiness.

Beastcraft - Enter the chasm
Trans-Europe Express - Kraftwerk
Flowing Tears - Portsall (Departure Song)
DJ Fresh featuring Neil Tennant - Throw.
Daft Punk - Veridis Quo
Listening to Ozzy Osborn - Mr. Crowley.
I find this to be the best song ever done by Ozzy. The intro done via organs was genius, the lyrical quality is great, though to find them as well done as me perhaps you need to know a bit about who Crowley was. :p
Listened to this song a lot since It played in Brutal Legend. I heard it before mind you, but its been more recently I"ve started to enjoy heavy metal bands, Motor Head probably being my favorite.
But yeah, needlesss to say I got bored and looked into Crowly, and now I find myself wanting to read his books, especially The Book of Law.
The soundtrack to FFVII. Because a nostalgia hit is always welcome
Talking Heads - Listening Wind
God Knows- Aya Haruno.
From the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
In Japanese of course, for those who dislike english dubs (and there are a lot of you)
:D really great song!
I've been listening to videos of Big L freestyling on youtube and I simply can't stop listening to them. His lyrics are absolute genius and I can't believe I haven't given him a serious listen 'til now. I seriously think he would've done amazing things if his life wasn't cut short. The brilliant die young :'( His flow is seriously like ear candy, give it a listen if you want a sampling of divinity.
caution, explicit lyrics

Popular Songs - Yo La Tengo

Years - A Thousand Times A Day (Someone Is Flying)
I've just listened to Avril Lavigne's Nobody's Home, the song reminds me of the times I was fifteen or sixteen years old :)
Too bad Lavigne kinda evolved into some kind of it-girl (only her style).. She and her style were soo great at that time

The Most Serene Republic - Bubble Reputation
"smurf 'em" - Shel Silverstein
I had no idea my favorite childhood author spewed so many hilarious profanities in his music.
He's my hero all over again @_@
Tears for Fears - Suffer the Children
Recently re-ripped their discography in FLAC after having only had low-quality mp3s for a long time. I'd forgotten how much I love this band. This is probably my least favourite of their albums and it's still better than 95% of the stuff that came out in the eighties. They managed to make each song special.
Mediaeval Baebes - Ecci Mundi Galdium
deadmau5 melts my brain.
<3 @ krissy
I'm currently listening to "Friends on the Other Side" by Keith David. That man sure can sing! :D
Bathory - Twilight of the Gods
Epic Swedish Viking metal. Bathory were basically the inventors of the genre of folk metal (alongside Skyclad) and there was a string of albums they released where seemingly they could do no wrong. Of course the pair of albums that followed this one were completely forgettable, but I guess that just goes to show that nobody's perfect.

this is my last goodbye by former ghosts.
whoooooooooooo's gonna loooooooove you like i dooooooooooo
Rush - YYZ (live)
drum solos, smurf yeah.
The Fall of Troy - Smurf Condoms Premarital Sex Is The :bou::bou::bou::bou: Get 'Er Pregnant Get 'Er Pregnant Get 'Er Pregnant
ok that's probably not what the actual acronym is supposed to stand for but it's still funny.
I think this group and At the Drive-In have ruined post-hardcore for me because I keep expecting other groups in the genre to be this sophisticated and none of them are.

Pier Paolo by Blonde Redhead.
i turn to you / young man poet insane / for you find myself alone too sooooooon / today you are in my way / 18 a promising age / the sweetest act of life repeated til i bled / a place in the worrrrrrrrld, and expresssion / no salt no fear/ cautiously with youuuu on detention / i submit and you smiiiiiiiiiiiile.
AFI - The Prayer Position
Radiohead - Fast Track
The Moon and the sun ---> Stephaine Young or something.
Shall Never Surrender - Jason "Shyboy" Arnolds..
xD xD xD
'Because I Love You' - Mother 2/EarthBound soundtrack
Tip My Canoe - Dengue Fever
Rival Schools - United By Fate still my favorite album by a long shot.
I also listened to 30 Seconds To Mars - 30 Seconds To Mars as I wait patiently for This Is War on December 8th:D
I'm Yours Tonight - The Academy Is...
Lady Gaga ~ Bad Romance
Leona Lewis - Happy
SorgSvart - Høst - Paradokser i Menneskesinn og Kosmisk Natur - Et Oppgjør med Falske Mann (Del II)
As far as I'm aware, this is the only anarchist viking metal band in the world. It's awesome, both musically and lyrically. I wish there were more of them.
I have no sister - Oh No! Oh My!
It's great because I really have six sisters.
Tears for Fears - Who Killed Tangerine?
Their "reunion" album. It's probably the most Beatlesque thing they've ever recorded; the chorus of the song strongly recalls Hey Jude and it features a number of other touches that strongly recall the Sgt. Pepper/White Album-era Beatles. The songwriting on this album is probably their strongest since The Seeds of Love (alongside which this album ranks as my favourite item in their discography), although I personally don't think they have a weak album in their catalogue.
Hallelujah - Stephan Lynch
Black Sabbath - Snowblind
Anyone who thinks drugs haven't done anything good for us owes it to themselves to listen to Black Sabbath, Vol. 4.
Heal the world - Michael Jackson.
Blut aus Nord - ....The Meditant (Dialogue with the Stars)
At the end of the year I still have to rank this as one of the best metal albums to come out of it. It's accessible, but it still has staying power. It successfully integrates the experimentations of BaN's later work into their older, more melodic sound. I hope they record more albums like this.
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories OST - Hell frozen Rain.
I wanted to listen to Stevie Nicks' Edge of 17 and ... I found THIS~~
Blitzkid, if anyone is looking for some good horror punk.
Pärlor - Carolina Wallin Pérez (local Swedish artist)
I love her voice ♥
Night of the Hunter~30 Seconds To Mars
i hate Jared Leto more than almost anyone in the world.
Thank you, thank you. *bows*
Basil Poledouris - Theology / Civilization
Why thank you :monster: and I'd love to see that live :( I'll have to remedy my lack of having seen it at some point.
as for me:
Panopticon - La Passione di Sacco & Vanzetti
One of the more inventive black metal bands in existence at the moment; he manages to work influences from a number of different folk traditions into his music, many of which have seldom if ever been combined with black metal before. (I've never heard a black metal band with bluegrass influence, for example). The dude's also an anarchist, which needless to say makes it more awesome.
Yeah, it's pretty decent. I'm obviously behind in my music knowledge these days because I had never heard of the band before two weeks ago. I downloaded all three albums after my wife played a few songs for me and have been rocking out to these guys all week. But at the moment...
I'm listening to: In Your Room~Depeche Mode from Songs of Faith and Devotion
Sonic Youth - Hey Joni (live)
Anyone who doesn't know Daydream Nation needs to go educate themselves pronto. This is from the deluxe reissue a couple years ago; it's an incendiary performance which arguably matches the studio version in quality. Lee's voice sounds way different live; it might just be a product of the way he was mic'd but who knows.
Weather with you, by Crowded House
Broken Social Scene - Finish Your Collapse and Stay for Breakfast
T.a.t.u - Stars :D
no one will tell no one for sure by tender forever.
before that: floating in the forth by frightened rabbit
Hombre Lobo - Eels
Eels are so great, can't wait for the new record next month.
The Walk~The Cure
Cheryl Cole ~ Parachute
Men Without Hats - The Safety Dance :D
Glee - Dancing With Myself
Franco Battiato - Ruby Tuesday
lovely Stones cover from the Children of Men soundtrack. Somehow I think I like it almost as much as the original.
Caetano Veloso - Cucurrucucu Paloma  It's from the soundtrack to Almodovar movie Hable con Ella, really beautiful.
I Gotta Feeling - The Black Eyed Peas
Kazuality (demo) - Blonde Redhead
Revielle - Bleed the Sky
hahaha wait wait i changed my mind.
the guy with eyeliner is the most gangsta.
American Girl~Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

nickelback - photograph
Pavement - Here
Black Eyed Peas ~ Meet Me Halfway
i luv the valley OH!
Pagan by Porcupine Tree
Starry Sky by Capsule
Rise Against - Savior
Hoe Cakes - MF DOOM :-)
Danger! High Voltage! - by Electric Six.
The newest single from that hip band of rebellious teens that talks about issues that I can relate to when I cry into my pillow.
I can't say who, cause if more than 4 people hear of a band then it automatically sucks and makes them sell-outs.
HIM - Heartkiller
Contra - Vampire Weekend
Doop doop doop. What music I have downloaded changes every time I format it seems.
YouTube - Million Young - Weak Ends
UHHHHHHH. Band I got told about like 2 days agoooo and I've fallen in love! I don't usually dig tunes like this, either.
Glee Cast - I'll Stand By You
JLS ~ One Shot ♥
Company of Thieves - Pressure.
I love Tama2 for suggesting CoT they are truly the best.
It doesn't even sound Indian to me, I have no idea where they get this from. It's annoying because I'm quite psyched on Contra at the moment, and no one I know shares my enthusiasm.Quote:
Do you only know idiots or something? :(
O Pioneers!!! - The Architect of Disney World
Radiohead - There There

Dream Theater - Panic Attack
I'm on a Dream Theater binge right now.
Nadia Ali - Love Story. I was listening to iio - Tantric (Recon Remix) but it was apparently a playlist and this one started automatically. It's gorgeous
that's strange, I went on one last week after not having listened to them at all in like two years.
Swans - Blood Promise
This is a song from their second-to-last album The Great Annihilator which was pretty cool on that record; however, I'm listening to the live album (Swans Are Dead) where they expanded it to about three times its original length and gave the song a ton more breathing room. It's absolutely sublime in this version. It's a bit pretentious to say a band invented a style, but Swans are definitely one of the founding influences on post-rock (alongside Slint, Talk Talk and Bark Psychosis probably), and I think they surpass all but a few of their imitators (notably, Godspeed You! Black Emperor were at least as good).
Michael Gira recently announced that he's re-forming the band (unfortunately, Jarboe won't be involved, but you can't have everything). I still need to get through a lot of their material that I haven't listened to yet, but I still love enough of it already to say that this is definitely good news.
Flying Lotus - Massage Situation
oh yeah
Leona Lewis ~ My Hands
Owl City - Fireflies :omghey:
"More Than 3cm" by Yoko Kanno
Kollaps Tradixionales by A Silver Mt. Zion
Unearth - This Glorious Nightmare
Perfume - Love The World
Louisiana Hoo Doo Blues by Ma Rainey.
'Dreaming' by Alstroemeria Records.
Wolf Eyes - Village Oblivia
Maybeshewill - How To Have Sex With A Ghost.
It was the title that caught me. It is truly awesome.
Konayuki (Powdered Snow) by Remioromen
i have recently listening to Ingrid Michaelson - Keep Breathing

Haven't Met You Yet ~ Michael Buble
"Tear Drop" - by Massive Attack
