I was using socialism in the same manner in which I presumed Psy to be using it, since my observations of British politics have led me to conclude that the odds of workers taking control of the economy in Britain is about the same as it is here. Technically you're right, Sweden is a social democracy, but most people are sloppy and don't really bother distinguishing between the terms. The only place I'm aware of that actually comes close to being real socialism in the world right now is Cuba, which has a :bou::bou::bou::bou:ty trade embargo preventing it from reaching its economic potential, but it's a top-controlled dictatorship, which is pretty far removed from worker control of the economy. A good example of worker-controlled socialism existed during the Spanish Civil War, but due to the number of outside influences conspiring to end the Catalan territories' autonomy it was pretty short-lived.Quote:
