I have to agree with Shlup; I'm not sure what's to be "ready" for about eating a rare steak. Would it be too much of a shock to his system? Would his senses be so overwhelmed by finally tasting a proper steak after being deprived for his entire lifetime that he could go into cardiac arrest?

If you want to try a rare steak, just eat a rare steak. :p

Formy, if you ever think you're ready to try poached eggs, you aren't. Go with scrambled first and see how you like it before skipping ahead.

Medium rare is fine but other than that the texture is pretty disgusting......but seeing a well done steak is enough to make you cry for the poor cow.:cry:
