And doesn't he have Bio? I could've sworn I had him cast it, then I gave it to Cloud to fight Rufus. So it would be Fire-All, Sense, and Bio. I think.

Keep guessing. Its not as good as that. It is armor, however.

BTW Rei, you could be right. I remember Bio being in the battle, but I thought it was from the enemy.

EDIT: I'm almost positive that Red didn't have the Poison materia. You get a poison materia quite soon before the battle, though(if you get it).

What are all the materia that the playable characters come equipped with?

In my game, I cast Bio on the boss. Most likely from Red XIII, though

And I think Cloud comes equipped with Bolt and/or Cure. And Red XIII's can be seen earlier.

Off topic: Have you seen that Nissan commercial with the crash dummies beating the crap out of each other to get in the car? :thumb:

Also, you could cast Bio on the boss, since you get a Poison materia before it(level....67, I think, but I'm not completely sure).

Barret didn't even know how to use materia at the beginning.:p
And, nope, I don't think any of the others came with any materia.

My question:


Each playable character has a kind of a "joke weapon(a weapon that usually has a ludicrous name). They are usually fairly powerful but there's one main way to know them: they are the only weapons besides the characters' Ultimate weapons that have no materia growth, and all of them also have no matertia slots. What are each character's "joke weapon?"

They are the ones in the Temple of the Ancients, no? I'm not answering, just throwing something to help. Cloud's is Nailbat. I'll probably come up with something later.

For Cloud its the Nail Bat (what's up with that?)
Barret - Rocket Punch?
Tifa - Work Glove
Cait Sith - What's a Trumpet Shell, exactly?
Aeris - Umbrella, wasn't it? It might've had a different name.
Yuffie - Super Ball!

Actually, Aerith's was the Parasol(she didn't have an Umbrella weapon). Otherwise, you got them all right, so I'll give it to you.:)

To answer that, it protects others nearby I think, and it may also raise power(I'm not completely positive about this).

When one of her party member's fall, her attack goes up. If both of them die, it goes up even higher.
