I'm not a big fan of RPM-based distros. They're hell to update.

Ubuntu Linux running the Gnome desktop environment. Everything is done through Gnome's default features, so I'm not using gdesklets or anything. The icon set is gargantuan.

actually it depends if you are able to correctly configure your (rpm) system.. ofcource the first few times you screw up... but yum and Up2date rawk big time
