Apparently he does, and no, they arent pop punk, because as stated, Pop Punk CANNOT exist. Punk is not a style of music, it is a lifestyle. Pop is the very opposite of punk, and therefore, you CANNOT be pop punk. It cant exist.Quote:

oh btw: whats up with all of these goths liking them out of the blue? I got American Idiot from chrstmas and when I go back to school, every single goth is wearing a green day T shirt. WTF is going on? really? what did I miss? Over 40% of my school is gothic after American idiot now. I went up to a few and told them they look like idiots. WEAR NORMAL CLOHES, LOOSE THE EYE SHADOW, AND ACT LIKE A REGULAR NORMAL PERSON.
Why are people arguing over such a minor thing? I listen to Green Day,but I don't go around saying "I'm punk." &.Not all the fans are the same.it's because I am myself,& I listen to whatever I damn please.I'm tired of people arguing over such a small thing when there are more important things in the world to worry about.It's just a damn band,people.
How about this- Green Day is an acquired taste.They have their own style,& people label them "punk-pop,alternative,punk,emo ect," becuase they can't decide who the hell they are. I really think people enjoy giving out labels to start fights.& if people give out what their opinion is about the band,leave them alone.It's what they believe.Only the person itself can change it.I don't argue with people who don't like them,neighter should anyone.
Bands are not soup cans;they are people who joined together for a common cause....to make music THEY like.Flame me all you want,but I won't argue back,because it's solely your opinion,& it doesn't matter to anyone but you.& that's okay,becuase I won't argue,since I'm not bullheaded about those kind of things.
