Hanson - Penny & Me
Shut. Up.
As much as I used to hate Hanson, looking back, they did kinda play their own instruments and sing all those harmonies without autotune...kinda gotta hand it to the guys.
I'm listening to The Strokes' album "Is This It?"
Picked up Black Sabbath's "13". Only track I"ve heard so far is "God is Dead?", which I really enjoyed. End of the Beginning is playing now, and thus far it's pretty great.
Engineers - New Horizon
Lenka - The Show
<3
Spinal Tap - Christmas with the Devil
One of the main reasons they've outlasted so many of the acts they parodied is because they not only wrote effective parodies but they also wrote great songs. This is certainly one of them.
Troublemaker - Olly Murs http://youtu.be/4aQDOUbErNg
This is what it feels like - Armin van Buuren http://youtu.be/BR_DFMUzX4E
Angel With a Shotgun - The Cab http://youtu.be/ua830TJ1jxA
Infinite - "Destiny"
Catching up a little on my K-pop. Lol.
Panic! at the Disco - Ready to Go
I am terribly upset I can't see them live this year. They're touring with Fall Out Boy, who I don't love so much anymore, but I've always wanted to see them live. Already saw Panic!, though, so that's good enough for me!
Bob Dylan - Fourth Time Around
I'm not joking when I say that this music has lifted my spirits out of the deepest, blackest pit...
sam and i have been listening to miley's new single and we caaaaaaaaan't stoooooooooooooop and we woooooooooooon't stooooooooooooooop
Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop - YouTube
You two are what enables things like HER MOST RECENT PERFORMANCE AND YOU OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED
plz i listened to the song and judged it on its artistic musical merit alone so gtfo with your h8 :colbert:
seriously it's a good song if you like pop music
It's a party song that lacks any enthusiasm and references drugs a lot.
Don't tell her dad...her achy, breaky dad...
Radioactive - Pentatonix feat. Lindsey Stirling
http://youtu.be/aE2GCa-_nyU
Amanda Palmer & The Grand Theft Orchestra - The Killing Type
I've always swayed between liking Amanda Palmer's voice and being bothered by it. It almost sounds monotonous to me at times, but I just like her so much for some reason. When I first heard The Dresden Dolls, I couldn't stand them, but I've grown to like her over the years. I discovered this song today and it's pretty swell!
Plus, she's a total badass and married to Neil Gaiman.
blame sam
Rob and I are listening to a lot of Shorty's music tonight.
This is clearly the Avril song of choice.
...Damn embeding code.
Avril Lavigne - I'm With You
Chance the Rapper - Smoke Again
Damn, how did I sleep on this mixtape? He pulls off the half-rapped half-sung schtick better than Kendrick Lamar. This song is currently on repeat.
Sithu Aye - Mandalay
Periphery :: Ow My Feelings
Lorde - Royals (US Version) - YouTube
i have been listening to this on repeat for hours. it's so chill, such a good song to work to
Joey BADA$$ - Death of YOLO
Reminiscent of A Tribe Called Quest and this kid is 18 smurfing years old. Impressive.
Someone was whistling Smashmouth's Why Can't We Be Friends at work today and now I can't get it out of my head. It's just them singing that one line on an endless loop... with the occasional "known you for a long long time" etc.
:stare: what has science done (this is the only version)
I realized it'd been too long since I'd listened to MGMT, so I'm listening to MGMT. Specifically, this: Mgmt-Oracular Spectacular(Full Album)-HD - YouTube
also, it's funny when people say a full album video is "HD" when the video consists of just a picture of the album cover
Panic! At The Disco & fun. - C'mon
This song was stuck in my head all night and I'm pretty sure I dreamed it, too, because I woke up with it still stuck in my head.
may i have everyone on the forum's attention please
The last metroid is in captivity. The galaxy is at peace.
deadmau5 - Professional Griefers
This gets stuck in my head from time to time. And Gerard Way looks like Huxley in the music video.
Zomboy feat. Lady Chann | Here To Stay (Delta Heavy Remix)
._.
EDIT: 1300th post, wee.
Poker Face By Lady Gaga:kakapo::kakapo:
Homie mentioned this and now it's stuck in my head. FML.
I cannot for the life of me get this little clip out of my head. Camptown Races (30 Rock Version) - YouTube
One of the best things I have heard in my life.
Been listening to this all week. For some reason it doesn't get boring. It's reason enough to watch Steins;Gate:
Steins;Gate OST - 10 Gate of Steiner -piano- - YouTube
Steins;Gate OST - Gate of Steiner -Main Theme- - YouTube
Interestingly, both versions have a completely different feel to them. I love both of them.
Won't lie, didn't really like this song at first. Mostly I kind of expect more out of a Daft Punk song then this.
Daft Punk - Get Lucky (Official Audio) ft. Pharrell Williams - YouTube
After coming to terms with the fact it's sub par for a Daft PUnk song however, it is a pretty good song. Pharrel does a great job in this.
While the original is probably Liam's best vocal performance (and even Noel says as much), I almost think Noel's vocals on this version are better.
This is the Oasis song you play to anyone who claims they were a troute band. If they claim this is a bad song, they are objectively wrong.
Just put together a compilation album of sorts of arranged versions of FFIX tracks, pulling from Piano Collections, Distant Worlds, Tour de Japon, the Black Mages albums, etc., trying to reconstruct as much of the soundtrack as possible. I've been doing this as a way to celebrate when I complete an FF game for the past few installments I've played. I love the music in this game, the soundtrack is one of the best! So I've mostly been listening to that.
Outside of video game music, I've been really into Vektor recently. I don't listen to much metal, but when I do it's usually thrash, and usually Vektor.
Saw Between the Buried and Me last night. They played their latest album "Parallax II: The Future Sequence" in its entirety without any pause. For an encore, they finished the show off with "White Walls" from the album "Colors." It was my fourth time seeing the band, and as usual, they were fantastic. Below is the last two tracks of Parallax II, which is my favorite ending to an album of theirs since "Colors."
between the buried and me - the parallax ll : future sequence - YouTube
i want to see btbam live :(
The Mars Volta - [Noctourniquet #11] Vedamalady [3:54]
This album is pretty hit or miss but the highs are amazing. This is easily among the top 5 songs they've ever done.
cba finding video, I can't tolerate the original mix due to loudness war bulltrout and am listening to a remastered version I made in iZotope RX Advanced
Patrick Watson - The Flood
Underoath - Paper Lung
A.D.H.D - Kendrick Lamar
M83 - Outro
followed by
M83 - Midnight City
Sylosis - Sands of Time
This band is just such a huge amount of pure, unapologetic metal. Their albums never have new gimmicks or new sounds, yet every time they're still fresh, enjoyable, amazing metal.
They aren't like that comfortable pair of shoes you like because you know them so well, they're like that book you comeback and read over and over again, because even though you know it and you know the formula, it still feels new and interesting.
The Lumineers - Ho Hey
Cannot get out of my head! Not complaining, though, I love this stupid song so much ;-;
Playlist is full of Richard Cheese and Hayseed Dixie right now. Currently...
Richard Cheese - You Oughta Know (Alanis Morissette)
Wipeout soundtrack - Cairodrome
OH GOD RICHARD CHEESE SOUNDS EVEN BETTER ON MY NEW FANCY HEADPHONES WITH THE NOISE REDUCTION!
Richard Cheese - Imperial March (smurf your posting limit, it's Richard Cheese)
Alectheman - Samurai Champloo: Chapter 2
Gramatik - Just Jammin'
My god I love Richard Cheese. People I tell about him get all uppity that hes somehow "ruining" the original songs, but its a humourous and sometimes puts a new spin on a great song that's become a little tiresome. Heck, even songs I dislike like "Like A G6" become palatable to me because of his work.
I recently discovered the band Dokken and I'm appreciating the amazing guitar work of one George Lynch. In particular i've been listening to their album Under Lock and Key. If you're even a casual fan of eighties era rock bands, I recommend them.
Okay, Feint may now be my favorite Drum and Bass.
Feint - Paradise Lost [HD] - YouTube
I found the best song ever
Girl in the Byakkoya
The jukebox in my head, mostly. Last thing I heard was "She's a Woman" by Jeff Beck, from "Blow by Blow..." or was it "Truth?"
Details, details.
Eminem :: Rhyme or Reason
Cormega - Thun & Kicko
"Clean" by Crystal Armentrout is running through my head
I actually was listening to Sgt. Pepper earlier.
Metallica - One
I've been listening to Spiritualized albums a lot recently. Love!
Awesome lyrics.

The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour
The Tallest Man on Earth - 1904
Wasn't too sure about this guy at first, but he's definitely growing on me.
COME ON, COME ON, COME ON, COME ON AND
Take it! Take another little piece of my heart, now baby...
Lunarsea - Hundred Light Years
It's been about 5 years since the last album. It's great to see these guys put out some new stuff, and it's really solid.
Queen - The Show Must go On.
This is my favorite Queen song. For a while that went to Killer Queen, though Moulin Rougue seemed to taint teh song for me for a while. God damn was the version in that movie bad.
But Queen's original is one of the best songs I"ve ever heard. And that's before the knowledge of how ill Freddie was at the time he got himself up to record the song. One of the saddest deaths there has ever been in music, if not the saddest.
I just can't get enough of this song lately.
Underoath - When The Sun Sleeps
The song in my signature. Think it childish, immature and boring? I would've probably thought so too, but after having seen Clannad, I'm rather emotionally attached to it.
ミドリ - [あらためまして、はじめまして、ミドリです。 #04] お猿 [2:09]
[Midori - [Hello Everyone. Nice to Meet You. We Are Midori. #04] Monkey [2:09]]
Can't find this version on yt, but here's a live performance
NIN - Pretty Hate Machine
Would any of you care to step out onto the veranda --~
Hungry Villagers are my new favorite thing. Specifically, the song in my sig that I can't get out of my head. His voice, the beat and the guitar are so perfect to me, and the lyrics are haunting.
Slight addendum to my above post
...Third roar of the lion, turn the volume down and start up "Dark Side Of The Moon..."
We're not in Kansas anymore.
Mr. Big - Just To Be With You
or whatever it's called.
BF started singing it and I -had- to download. Stuck in my head now. Yaaay
What we Norris kids would sing when our mom told us to say we were sorry to a sibling we had punched/eaten their restaurant doggie bag food/looked at wrong
Wise arses, we were
"Has anyone here today had their heart broken by someone who just wasn't worth it? This next song's for you."
Girls Aloud - No Good Advice
Can't believe this was 10 years ago now, this was one of the big tracks back during our nights out.
Just discovered a Beatles cover album called Beatless from a Japanese shoegaze band, I'm absolutely loving it!
Edit: Holy trout, Tomorrow Never Knows lends itself so well to this genre!
ミドリ - [ライヴ!! #04] ひみつの2人 [3:45]
[Midori - Live!! #04] Two People's Secret [3:55]]
Can't find this on YouTube :/
Banjo-Kazooie soundtrack motherfetchers.

A song about OCD. Love the Cold Reading album.
Traumatosis - Nervous Twitch
It ain't easy, living like a gypsy
Tell ya honey how I feel!
I been dreamin', floatin' up a stream and
Losin' touch with all that's real!
Whole earth lover, keepin' undercover
Never knowing where ya been!
You been fadin', always operatin',
Keep in touch with Mama Kin!
Bathory - One Rode to Asa Bay
Not the most technical music or the most skilled of vocalists but the amount of passion here is immense!!!
GTA V radio...the talk show currently..it's some very soothing stuff!
"Postcards From Italy" by Beirut
"Memories of Celceta" by Falcom Sound Team jdk
And, really, the entire Silver Anniversary Edition collection that came with Ys: Memories of Celceta.
Joy Division - [Heart and Soul CD3 #20] Love Will Tear Us Apart (Peel Sessions) [3:22]
Protest the Hero :: Dunsel
"Still Remember You" ~ Blackmore's Night
Marriage of Figaro - Mozart
The Velvet Underground - [Peel Slowly and See CD4 #02] Candy Says [4:06]
what do you think I'd see
if I could walk away from me
this is probably the other mix but:
Batista's Entrance song
Did you ever see the faces of the children, they get so excited
Waking up on Christmas morning hours before the winter sun's ignited?
They believe in dreams and all they mean, including heaven's generosity,
Peeping round the door to see what parcels are for free in curiosity.
And Tommy doesn't know what day it is!
He doesn't know who Jesus was or what praying is!
How can he be saved from the eternal grave?
The BPT playlist. *giggles*
There are some songs I can get lost in. Shut off the lights. Lay down with headphones on. Think about my problems but be okay with them. So comforting.
Dir en grey - Amber
Peter Gabriel - [Peter Gabriel 3 (Melt) #01] Intruder [4:54]
what a creepy song
"Steelgods of the Last Apocalypse" ~ Rhapsody

everyone needs more zeuhl in their life
Sigur Ros - "Brennisteinn"
"Let It Go" from Frozen..
Omg I'm so addicted to this song.
Poetic Death - Dear Maiden
"I'm Alive" by Michael Franti or as I call it that song from the Rayman Legends commercial.
I know it's only supposed to be once every five posts but #yooooolooooooo
The Fall of Troy - F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X.
Stones...satisfaction
Angel Vivaldi - . _ _ _ _
Solid, instrumental prog metal.
VNV Nation- "Arena"
高円寺百景 [Kōenji Hyakkei] - [高円寺百景 [Hundred Sights of Kōenji] #01] Ioss [4:00]
this is probably more insane than whatever you're listening to
yes that's a completely made-up language they're singing, or it might be gibberish. apart from the band, no one knows.
this band's other albums:
the best place to start is probably their most recent album (the last one listed), though it's still not an easy starting place if you're not already familiar with zeuhl
they also have four live DVDs, of which I have two, both of which are excellent
Beastie Boys - Stand Together
Great beat, some clever samples, and decent lyrics. I think it's a really solid hip-hop track that got over shadowed by some other hits on an album that started to bring back some of their punk roots.
Ent - "Frozen Flowers"
Adele - Skyfall. Just had a desire to listen to it!
Periphery - Overture
ミドリ [Midori] - [初体験 [Initial Experience] #12] さよなら、パーフェクトワールド。 [Goodbye, Perfect World.] [3:07]
Can't find a video of this performance online but this is probably the studio version:
Midori's sound at the time was probably unprecedented (at least, I've never heard anyone before them who sounds remotely like them) and there are still very few bands that have covered even remotely similar ground. 385 is the only one that really comes close but they're still nowhere near being as vital and original as Midori were.
Here's a live performance of another great Midori song:
Hedwig & The Angry Inch - "Wig in a Box."
Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls
This song has been stuck in my head for awhile. It's my favorite song to cruise around Los Santos at 120 mph during a sunset in GTAV.
Heaven Shall Burn - "A Dying Ember"
Just finished listening to Knock Madness, the recent Album from Hopsin.
And... wow. This album is great. This may be the best Rap Album I've ever heard.
Out of 18 songs, I will say, five I don't like, and one I don't really know what to think of. The other 12 tracks are just wonderful.
Del Amitri - Roll to Me
It keeps randomly popping up in my head.
Basshunter – Vi sitter i Ventrilo och spelar DotA [Full Version]
Fun fact: when my ex and I were still together I once told him I thought Basshunter was cute and he got so incredibly butthurt about it
椎名林檎 - [加爾基 精液 栗ノ花 #01] 宗教 [5:08]
Shiina Ringo must be a Time Lord. There's no way a mere human wrote and arranged this album.
M.I.A.'s "Bad Girls" is stuck in my head.
Nosound - "In My Fears"
Let it Go as sung by Mr. Freeze.
Sebkha-Chott - [De l'existence de la mythologie chottienne en 7 cycles #01] Pinok'ďo [6:12]
These guys have been compared to Zappa, Mike Patton, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, and Magma. The comparisons are justified.
Get their stuff here.
Posting because Aaron wants to post more.
I listened to this twice and ohmigosh I can't anymore. If you have a heart you will cry watching and listening to this.
Ambeon - "Sick Ceremony"
Some choice picks from recently
whole bunch of good tracks in the Triple J Hottest 100 that I will probably be spinning repeatedly for a while
Bran Bal, the soulless village- Nobuo Uematsu. Do I really need to link the song for this? :kakapo:
Fleet Foxes - [Helplessness Blues #06] Helplessness Blues [5:03]
smurf, why did I forget how smurfING AMAZING this album is? this is easily top three of 2011 material
(other two are Giles Corey's self-titled and Falls of Rauros' The Light That Dwells in Rotten Wood for anyone who's curious)
listen to it here
Hammering a bit of Queensryche.
I saw these open for Judas Priest a couple years ago, always knew who they were, what they did and sounded like but the performance was tosh, the singer could barely hit the notes he once could and by the gods of rock and roll could he hit some amazing notes in the 80s.
Shame but it happens to a lot of singers with time.
Modest Mouse - Dashboard
Between We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank and Good News for People Who Love Bad News, Modest Mouse are moving up the list to my favorite bands. I used to hate hate hate them but Isaac Brock's voice has grown on me and now I can't get enough.
Where do Broken Hearts Go by Me First and The Gimmie Gimmies.
A Perfect Circle - Freedom of Choice
In ancient Rome
there was a pawn
who followed along
and watched it fall
he cast a stone
he felt secure
he felt that his voice would never be heard
I recently downloaded the first album from each of CHVRCHES, Lorde, and MS MR. I love all three albums.
excellent picks, they went well in the list
Psychostick- Root of all evil
anyone going to the dentist anytime soon? >.>
Not only do I rarely listen to rap tracks, but I do not really care if all the rappers are doing is bragging, and I never really liked Tech N9Ne, but dear god this track is awesome.
Where else do you get to hear two rappers who rap in extremes about killing people drop referance Pokemon and Pinky and the brain?
Hopsin - Rip Your Heart Out (ft. Tech N9ne) - YouTube
Woods of Desolation - "Unfold"
It's a metal sub-genre known as 'blackgaze,' literally shoegaze music meets black metal. It's heavy yet hauntingly beautiful.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePHvl9vFmeo
HIM - Venus Doom
the term "blackgaze" makes me twitch. I don't know entirely why; portmanteaus don't usually bother me. I also have no problem with the term "blackened shoegaze".
Bear McCreary - [Defiance CD2 #21] Mutants of Delta Bunker [6:21]
I have no idea how this man manages to compose so many soundtracks and have them all be top-quality.
Some old song I think.
Nothing gonna change my love for you - George Benson
If this is the right title :D
I've just discovered the wonders of Lana Del Rey.
