I love this song. Might be my new favorite anime ending song.
Am I the only one who remembers this song from the 90's? I was a kid then, still a good song.
Magma - [Mythes et Legendes Epok III #03] Ëmëhntëht-Rê [36:06]
No video of this performance, sorry. Here's another performance.
I'm listening to a couple of new albums by old favourites. Linkin Park released The Hunting Party back in June and it's their heaviest rock album ever. The single they released over here wasn't particularly strong but catchy which is why they've released it. I personally think that this is one of the strongest songs on the album though there's a lot to choose from! which makes it tough:
I've also been really enjoying the recent Rise Against release, yes I'm a massive RA fan which leaves me biased:
The album strikes me as having a bit more pace/energy (something of a siren song/suffer & the witness feel) whilst carrying on the sound that really brought them to the fore of modern post-prog punk on Appeal and Endgame.
Boston - [Boston #03] Foreplay/Long Time [7:51]
Kalevala's Nightly Bus Ride Selection
The Mars Volta - The Widower
PJ Harvey - The Devil
Depeche Mode - Precious
Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile
Portishead - Wandering Star
Massive Attack - Teardrop
Korn - Falling Away From Me
Chvrches - The Mother We Share
Yes I listen to hipster trout right after listening to classical, gangsta rap, and death metal. :monster:
I'm the same, nothing like a bit of Chvches after a rousing death metal session. I gave the new Pains of Being Pure At Heart album a listen the other day and it's easily in the top 10 I've heard this year.
Really digging this style of black metal, it's not all aggressive satan-worshiping tripe like it was in the early 90's.
Ruins - [Pallaschtom #03] Znohjmo [3:37]
For a long time I thought this group was Koenjihyakkei's lesser sibling. I have come to see my mistake; they're every bit as engaging as the larger band.
It just makes me want to dance!
Bad Rabbits | "Can't Back Down"
I'm on a vocaloid binge atm
Sonic Youth - Bull in the Heather
CKSNL - Krystil - Original Mix
apparently
Danielle listens to weird music in the morning
They're making a sequel 15 years after the end of the first season. I'm excited!
Ruins - [Symphonica #07] Brixon Varromiks [8:41]
Owen Pallett - The Secret Seven
I love the Crypt of the NecroDancer soundtrack! This song has been stuck in my head all day and I keep playing it.
The singing shopkeepers are the cutest things ever to add to the game.
Crypt of the NecroDancer | Zone 1-1
Enslaved - [Isa #02] Lunar Force [7:04]
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon OST
Ambulance - Eisley
Nami - "The Beholders"

One of my all time favorites. Sadly very underrated.
Genesis - [The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway CD2 #05] The Lamia [6:58]
Terminator 2 Theme, because it's awesome
Feed Me - Onstuh
Mastodon - [Leviathan #01] Blood and Thunder [3:48]
WHITE WHALE HOLY GRAIL
Action Bronson - "SHIRAZ"
i luv this WARNING: Profanity. Skip for music at :50.
And this after: Action Bronson - "Midget Cough"
Nothin' like some slow, moody jazz that makes you feel like you're in some twisted film-noir. I love Bohren & Der Club of Gore even if they kinda release the same album every time.
There's nothing on youtube yet, so I wasn't going to post, but I'm enjoying "Champions of Red Wine" from The New Pornographers' new album, Brill Bruisers. Much enjoy.
This is the best song I've found in quite a long time.
a spotify playlist. but uh >_>; if i was to put the one that's on atm:
http://youtu.be/ublchJYzhao
Rammstein
Magma - [Mythes et Legendes Epok II #12] De Zeuhl ündazïr [8:34]
*Revive-ga* don't even care
Wreck and Reference - Stranger, Fill This Hole In Me
smurf tha police
Deafheaven - [Sunbather #03] Sunbather [10:13]
I can't decide whether I enjoy this band's music as much as I do purely on its own merits or partially on the basis that it pisses off metal purists as much as it does. Definitely not "true" black metal, but I enjoy it regardless.
Bandcamp
A Conor Oberst mood suddenly came over me and I had to give in.
im not a fan of the BLUE arc's music videos, the copy-pasted b roll from previous BLUE videos (this one is no exception) is the main offender. but this song is claes and jonna's best musical work since "clump" (bounty) and "goods" (kin). my headphones have been pleasuring my ears for many days since ;~;
On a Tool kick, and this is one of the best.
I like this song.
Currently I often listening to Anime OST, Now listening to Go Go Maniac! by HO-KAGO TEA TIME from K-ON!! Anime series.
Acadia - Marianas Trench.
Great tune, great band. Been into them for a long time, and it's such a catchy song to listen to. Just have this band on a playlist right now, just in the mood for that, I suppose!
Only Time - Enya
Sometimes I like to douse my body in lavender and listen to Enya. Don't judge me.
Respect. I put on some Dido when I break out the lavender.
(SPOILER)Except I just relax to it and don't do that other stuff.
A few more recent selections, the Nightcrawler trailer music and Doc Brown comedy raps:
This is the second song I listen to post-lavender dousing. This beat is still so hot. Someone needs to rap over this. Sia, Dido, Enya have the best lavender dousing music.
Okay, now I am back in my element: Great remix Love this song and literally just found it randomly. Odesza has become my new music obsession.
Beyond Creation - "Sous La Lueur de L'empereur"
Proper kooky bass undertone on this album, I'm really digging it.
Currently listening to Tsuioku Merry Go Round by One Life Crew this is one of the Fairy Tail soundtrack. The bass of this song is awesome :)
Univers Zero - [Heresie #02] Jack the Ripper [13:29]
unfortunately no upload of this album exists on YouTube but here's a live performance of this song
this is one of the darkest albums I've ever heard. I think only early Swans compares.
I'm on an oldies kick right now
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlzY6cWpoMQ
The Smashing Pumpkins - [Adore #14] For Martha [8:18]
sorely underrated album/song
Periphery :: Ow My Feelings
January is going to be a great month for album releases.
Enter Shikari - Never Let Go Of The Microscope
It's been nothing but these two songs for the past couple days:
"Sarah" by Thin Lizzy
"Old Town" by Phil Lynott (former frontman for Thin Lizzy)
The music videos for both are so saddening, but amazing at the same time. The music video for "Sarah" is especially saddening, because it shows Phil singing to four different girls near the end (symbolizing his daughter, who the song is named after, growing up). It also, before that, shows him dancing with who is supposed to be playing the adult version of his daughter. The "Old Town" music video just basically hammers home the fact that Phil is addicted to cocaine by this point (I think he died about 3 or 4 years after the song came out) and him walking down the pier at the end while the song keeps playing just gets me every time. They were both truly life-changing experiences, no joke.
Brown Eyes by Lady Gaga. One of my favorite songs of hers :)
I don't ever want to stop listening to this song.
Van Morrison - [Astral Weeks #01] Astral Weeks [7:03]
If forced at gunpoint to pick a best album ever recorded I'd probably have to choose this one. Forty-six years after its initial release it's still completely unique.

They will all say the same
Love is contagious;

The Smashing Pumpkins - [The Aeroplane Flies High CD5 #07] Silversmurf [34:48]
Two extra discs, five extra hours of bonus material. This is how you reissue an album.
Uplifting instrumental. Very cool to hear on a fighting game menu.

T-ara | Sugar-Free (Big Room version)
Warning: the MV is kind of awful, editing-wise, and can be kind of... seizure-inducing.
Ulver - [Nattens Madrigal - Aatte Hymne til Ulven i Manden #05] Hymne V - Wolf and the Moon [5:14]
Since getting the remastered box set I've been addicted to this album again. Has there ever been a better collection of riffs on a black metal album? The remaster finally opened up the dynamics on this album a bit and it sounds glorious (though it's still unmistakably a lo-fi album).
I can't find the remaster on YouTube yet but here's the original. Warning: super troutty sound quality, loud recording, and harsh vocals
Over and over and over
Both versions of this stupid song. I can't get it out of my head. I even know the dance now . :ohdear:
The original..
Korean version..
My Bloody Valentine - [m b v #09] Wonder 2 [5:49]
I've come to really like this song, although I usually care little for Japanese singing.
Context makes it very powerful emotionally, but I like listening to it without context, too.
Currently listening to Black Rock Shooter from Hatsune Miku. Mikuuuu...... :)
And Unravel from Tokyo Ghoul opening :) Don't know whose the artist is.

WE GO WILD!
Echo and the Bunnymen, various stuff. Mostly Ocean Rain, though. It's a goooood album!
Enslaved's entire discography on shuffle.
Blue Öyster Cult - [Secret Treaties #03] Dominance and Submission [5:23]
An underrated classic, this album. There's a YouTube playlist of the whole thing here.
What I take from this song is a child overhearing his parents argue and the effect it has on him. They think he's asleep but his bedroom door is cracked a bit and he can hear everything.
the sounds of a drunken fight taking place outside my barrack block
i kinda want to stand and watch, but don't want drawn in to it.
sounds a right laugh too :(
Cradle of Filth (ft. Ville Valo) - The Byronic Man
My favorite track in the game.
It's not literally a cradle of filth?
(Hoping you get it the reference)
Me, I've been going through my top five band discography. I just finished The Cure (#5) and I'm in the middle of King Crimson (#4). I can't wait until I get to their last album. It's my favourite from the band.
Just cruising along the world map of FFVI to this:
AND
Excellent atmospheric black metal with folk influences.
I will never admiring this man's mad genius!

I feel like my brain has been scrambled! I re-discovered this recently, and it also re-established my love for my favourite incarnation of King Crimson (as if I needed reminding).

I also enjoy King Crimson.

Since the Skyhill album went over well, here is Danny singing vocals to "Loud Pipes" from Ratatat (for those unfamiliar, Ratatat is an instrumental band).
My vinyl collection keeps growing. Had some great finds in the wild today. I've enjoyed this album since release. Glad to have it.

BUT MY GOODNESS I LOVE THAT SMILIE :eager:

That smilie looks so much better on you.
But yes, new Gorillaz. I'm stoked. Gorillaz is so fun.
Final Fantasy music on Spotify.
I'm sad we weren't able to get a copy of Distant Worlds III.. They sold out before we got a chance to get one.
Baroness -- Twinkler
This works so amazingly well.
I am currently listening to the music of Patti Austin, Sergio Mendes and Stephen Bishop. Nothing beats the timeless music of the 70's and the 80's
Barefooting but Neon Blue. They are a local band out of KCMO, so i don't think I can find tack of it. But it's good!!
today i asked twitter for suggestions of two artists to mix together on pandora that are fairly dissimilar and the first suggestion i got was Built to Spill crossed with the Beastie Boys and it's a pretty damn awesome station
90s indie mixed with 90s rap what more could i want
These guys are too much fun! But really not for little ears! based out of KCKC these land lock pirates are the best crew around next to mine!
