Nice, love me some old Zimmer :)
My mother doesn't like Radioactive by Imagine Dragons...But I do.
These two are supposed to fade into each other.
This song is so much better than "Another Way To Die," :)
also before that i was listening to sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club band but you know
I love the Hans Zimmer Spider-Man stuff.
Classic song I've been spinning lately.
And then on the complete opposite end of the spectrum there is this. The distortion effects sort of remind me of how some EarthBound music goes. Not exactly saying that it was done on purpose or was actually inspired by that, but that's what it reminds me of. But seriously, that beat is awesome. Bizarre video, too. And it transitions into another song for a bit for no real reason, which always makes me laugh:
My mom loves this song.
This is a pretty great album. I like to go back and listen to these guys every so often.
Everything is Awesome has been stuck in my head all damn day so of course I've been listening to it on repeat to cure it.
Right now I'm trying out a FF playlist I am making for a co-worker. He loves to listen to soundtracks and has never heard any FF tunes so I am trying to come up with a nice playlist for him to get taste of the series music.
This song is way too good for that 2005 Fantastic Four soundtrack.
Pretty catchy and addictive. :)
My goal in life is to become every member of this band.
A thrash metal classic \m/
Heroic yet tragic...quite fitting.
Album: Summer Make Good
Band: múm
Here's probably the most accessible song on the album. It is, like everything else on this album, beautiful!

Also from one of my favourite tv shows, and anticipating it's return next month! :)
TesseracT- Concealing Fate Pt. 4 [Perfection]
Pretty much my number one favourite movie and original score of 2014. In Nolan/Zimmer we trust! :D
#SMT4Lyfe
I could listen to this for hours. Why they didn't include this theme in the anime really is beyond me...
Nightwish's new single - Elan.
http://youtu.be/8cfGLKgT8S8
The brand new A Forest of Stars album, "Beware the Sword You Cannot See". One of my favorite, insane, progressive modern metal acts.
Zilch - Psyche
Enjoy, Persona fans. This one brings a tear to my eye.
Listening to the entire album from Tokimonsta. She's cool people. Chill music. Nice for nighttime.
the GazettE - Anata no Tame no Kono Inochi

I've got a sad.
Totally digging this song/video combination. Love how it tells a story.

lyrics
I have drunk the yearning,
Swallowed the flame in full,
And now I will bend the skies to my will.
Two eternities can never be so far part,
That I could not bridge them together.
„I hear the unsaid thoughts,
The silence throught the storm,
I speak without the words,
With unbound soul,
I'll bring forth the Sun,
And hand over the moon,
I'll hide the evening stars,
And fold them in your heart."
I have touched the longing,
Breathed the wistful air,
If I wish, I will turn the winters to springs.
Throught the dust and fear,
I find the faintest light,
And I can see life,
Admist the death that wreaths us all.
„I hear the unsaid thoughts,
The silence throught the storm,
I speak without the words,
With unbound soul,
I'll bring forth the Sun,
And hand over the moon,
I'll hide the evening stars,
And fold them in your heart."
[2x]
Here at your feet,
I rest my head,
Hear the roar of time,
The birth of stars.
[2x]
This is the gift of man,
The key to see it all,
The hidden wonders,
Hope in despair.
But only the few will find it,
Only the few will keep it,
Only the few will ever turn towards the Sun.
Off of their first full album with their new guitarist, which is one of the members of Omnium Gatherum. It's interesting because it sounded like it had heavy Omnium Gatherum influences before I ever knew about the change. Anyway, I like both bands so this is an interesting change. It's a really great album.
I love songs that have spoken word moments in between singing and screaming.
:)
Hnnnggg
Self explanatory. ;)
Hearing cuteness is a smile bringer. :D
God damn, that keyboard and guitar solo...
I was listening to Bjork's new album Vulnicura on repeat, but I got scared someone would think I had critically acclaimed musical taste or something so now I'm listening to Madonna's Rebel Heart on repeat instead.
Deafheaven - Sunbather
That short piano loop at the beginning of "The Black Box" is so beautiful and the HUGE bass drop near the end of "Telos" (when the songs kicks into high gear again) is one of the most satisfying things to hear even on a decent sound set up.
Currently listening to To Pimp A Butterfly
Really impressed with the new song and am very much looking forward to the new album in a couple of months.
Probably the most mainstream song that I'm currently planning on doing a drum cover of.
actually im listening karnivool and deftones : )

newish doomtree video. Love these guys.
A bit unconventional for me to post around these parts, but I really dig this song.
Bulletproof
La Roux
Haven't heard this song in a while.
My favorite song from the game.

Such a classic album. The amount of work and research they put into each song is impressive.

Xenogears battle theme.
Operation Ground And Pound - DragonForce.
Xenogears serious music. I don't know any of the names.
The Riddler - Nightwish.
Blaqk Audio's Cex Cells album.
Our Neverworld - Xandria.
I don't think I post a lot of covers on here.
But this one is perfect.
The Quantum Enigma (Kingdom Of Heaven, PT. II) - EPICA.
A little folk then and now for the evenin'
Sandy Denny
The lovely Joanna Newsom
Élan - Nightwish.
I've recently gotten into Vaporwave and Future Funk. Largely because of the old school anime video gifs they use. Though the music is really fun too.
Bloodrocuted - Dethklok.
A song for those days when humanity seems like it has no redeeming value, and/or someone has screwed you over in some form. There's been plenty of those days lately.

Lock me in a room, throw away the room.
There's nothing left.
Growing fears.
Sleep for years.
Wake in tears.
I'm on the edge.
I'm on the smurfing edge.
I swear to you.
Make one move.
Give me one excuse, I dare you.
These words are ammunition.
This voice is a gun.
Not one of you is safe.
smurf you all.
Turn and run.
I've learned my lesson.
Life is barren and bereft.
Deaccession until there's nothing left.
Putting you away or putting you to rest.
Denial or death, which one is best?
So much for trying.
So what, you're dying.
Better you than me.
Boiling contempt.
Singe and sear.
No escape from here.
I'm on the edge.
I'm on the smurfing edge.
I swear to you.
Make one move.
Give me one excuse.
I dare you.
These words are ammunition.
This voice is a gun.
Not one of you is safe.
smurf you all.
Turn and run.
The CLANNAD OST never fails to take me right back to how I felt watching the series for the first time. Especially Nagisa's theme and it's remixes, like this one.

I am empty and I won't fight
Carry me out, bury my mouth
Fill it up, so I can't speak
I'd rather sleep
Best song of that album, IMO.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyqNx1oDLCs
Speak up - you know what is up
Code of silence?! Who set you up?!
Some trout so wrong in this world
It's all smurfed up now you're gone
Speak up - you know what went on
How could you let it go?
It's murder you covered up
Stained blood on your soul
Down on my knees
Hands stretched to heaven above
Christ this pain is hard to live with
Don't fill my heart with love
Engulf my heart with vengeance
You need to see our pain
Don't fill this heart with love
The truth needs to be told
You can't mask
Pain
My pain
Our Pain
You can't mask
Pain
My pain
Our pain
Time Is Running Out - Muse.
I've been going through the discography of Jade Warrior. I'm really liking what I hear, especially their instrumental albums. I listened to the album, "Kites," only an hour ago.

New Aiden album coming later this year. I'm very excited for it and have enjoyed listening to their backlog recently. Long time fan.

Kero One - Groovin'
"You be a good boy, Leonard."
Animals As Leaders :: Kascade
It was really nice to see Jesse Leach working with his depression enough to make meaningful work again. The one time I met him at an old Killswitch show, even though he was probably quite depressed it seems, he was very warm and friendly.
Times of Grace - Live in Love
Just live in love
Believe in love
In my life I have seen all the ways hatred destroys mankind
Break society's system, change the mind state
There's no compromise
Don't mistake kindness and compassion for weakness
It takes so much more strength to be selfless and
Live in Love
Strive to live in selflessness
And live in love
Through all your days
Just live in love
Through all your pain
Believe in love
All that you think you know is just a fraction of this world
Take the time to think about your life
Live righteous
Strive to live in selflessness
And live in love
Through all your days
Just live in love
Through all your pain
Believe in love
The words we speak, the ones we don't say
Power you don't know you contain
Through all your days
Believe in love
Don't you see, we are of one blood
Brothers and sisters
We are one
And I pray this is not in vain
All that you know about
All you can't hide
All that you feel inside
Live in love
I'm K-pop-loving trash.
I'm obsessed with their dance choreo.

Outkast :: Bombs Over Baghdad
Rage Against the Machine- Bullet in the Head
10 Years - The Autumn Effect
Knoc-Turn'Al, feat. Snoop Dogg - The Way I Am
Meshuggah :: Marrow
This whole album is fantastic, but this song is beautiful, especially the way it ends. Chris Squire recently passed away, too. Very cool dude and a huge backbone to the legendary band Yes.
Argh.
I hate myself for this, but the Bravely Second OST has really grown on me.
One of my favorite covers of one of my favorite songs by a band I really respect done by another band I really respect. It's hard to beat that.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9FQxweTddo
For comparison. The vinyl version with a more driving, audible bass line, and just more....meat to the whole sound. Probably what the cover was inspired by, but I don't know.

And the original album version.

Siouxsie and the Banshees - This Unrest from the album Tinderbox
I can't believe it took me this long to find them! Like The Cure, I love the instrumentation but it took some time to get used the vocalist. But also like The Cure, they are growing into being one of my top bands.

This song is wrong on so many levels lol
Lonely Island- I smurfed my aunt
Background music on SvR11 right now.
Enjoying the guitar, as usual.
Postmodern Jukebox are awesome.

lyrics
You and me, we're the same
Asking for more
More than the numbing existence
Offered us all
What did they say? What did they do?
To make you crawl back here
Despite everything that you've been through
You're still right here
Where I left you
We can lift up our heads to the sky
Find all of those strings that they're pulling
And keep from falling back
into our old rhythmic poses
Turning us into machines
And one of these days we'll no longer betray
Ourselves in anyway
We won't all look the same way down
And one of these days we'll no longer betray
Ourselves in anyway
Then we'll all take the same way out
And all these illusions
Dropped on a sea of believers
Crowding around as they hunt me down
And throw me out
While all the rest of the others
Bang their heads in the trenches
And one of these days we'll no longer betray
Ourselves in anyway
We won't all look the same way down
And one of these days we'll no longer betray
Ourselves in anyway
Then we'll all take the same way out
So don't give up on me
We can still pretend
This is all just a game
That'll work itself out in the end
Some beautiful piano.
I just had a healthy reminder of just how emotionally intense *that* scene in Episode 2 is on a reread.
They're breaking up, and the final show is November 7th. For all the fans of older metal these guys had a strong Judas Priest sound with DnD overtones. I'll miss them, but here's the first song I ever heard by them.

lyrics
Don't walk the cold and ruthless streets,
they drain the life from all they meet.
the servants crying underground,
smelling mortal blood like hounds.
as you crawl the sewer pipes,
deadly sinners set to strike.
as you walk around the bend,
you'll be dead right there where you stand!
flash of iron, leather, spikes, and swords!
mighty warriors with metal on their side!
enemies of metal, your death is our reward!
triumphant victory when you bring the steel to life
deadly sinners
VICTORY
deadly sinners
WHEN YOU BRING
deadly sinners
THE STEEL TO LIFE
CRUSHING THE LIGHT
STALKING THE NIGHT
DEADLY SINNERS ALWAYS WIN
kill the tyrants, endless conquest
with no mercy, straight for his heart
bloodlust will overtake, anger and violence
without warning, lightning strikes in the dark
strikes you in the dark
LIGHTNING STRIKES
THE DARK
RULING THE NIGHT
WINNING THE FIGHT
TAKING IT ALL
Deadly, deadly sinners, through the night!
flash of iron, leather, spikes, and swords!
those mighty warriors with metal on their side!
enemies of metal, your death is our reward!
triumphant victory when you bring the steel to life!
deadly sinners
VICTORY
deadly sinners
WHEN YOU BRING
deadly sinners
THE STEEL TO LIFE
we are ruling the night, winning the fight
taking it all right to the end
winning the night, ruling the fight
take on last step before you die!
COME ON
RULING THE NIGHT
WINNING THE FIGHT
TAKING IT TO THE END

This is gonna be my best day ever.
Miley Cyrus is trout but as soon as I heard Phantogram did a song with her I hastily looked for this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dyRHrI9TVU
