Beach House - PPP. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43ncFhGFjrk
This song has been sending me to lofty, blissful states of daydream as it intrudes my thoughts throughout the day.
Due to Marvel's hip-hop variants I'm going back listening to old albums I've missed and also due to Straight Outta Compton I've been listening to Eazy-E and NWA.
See you, Space Cowboy

lyrics
The hero of the gods
The crossing of the threshold
The belly of the whale
Refusal of return
Hollow eyes
Dry pale legs
Howling on
Through fields and graves
Language of the signs
Symbols to our sight
Guardian to thy throne
Take on form
Daylight
Hide the skin
Cut it off
Scatter ash in the wind
Shapeshifter rolling on winds of tyrants make
Fierce lore of fanged horn
Danger all the way
Night's sea reflection
The faces of bodies slain
Returning to the form of natural human's fate
Grown from the cold
Spirits unclean
Dealer of the days
The ice will thaw
As the soldier walks through the crimson side
Researchers of aftermath
Dispelling disarming man
One-toed horses subject of Genesis
And the immigrants
Fundamental side of a human mind
Hulder folk and fairies
So believe
The hero of the gods
The crossing of the threshold
The belly of the whale
Refusal of return
This is the best entrance music in WWE right now.

Nothing More :: This Is The Time

Lyrics:
When you gaze into your polished metal plates
You picture the face of a man who longs to see his soul
But claws are claws, whether sharpened or painted or blunted
From hours of bounding, one-track-minded, through the snow
I have arrived, an exile too inferior for your highness to fight
Armored, not humored, and prepared to seize your life
The prisoner I came to rescue sits down to watch the fight
With tears in her eyes,
Who knew a tongue could do so much harm
Lying in one's mouth?
Dancing to music that wasn't really there
Muttering about moments we never even shared
Your twisted jaw moves
But you've lost all sound
How soon till your breath runs out?
When the others gaze into your polished eyes
As glassy as the doll's you hold to represent your soul
They witness the face of an animal acting like a man
In their confusion, you dressed them in sashes and perfume,
But the stench seeps through
I long to scream, "My country,
This is not how we were supposed to live!"
And with each mortifying blow, I'm fading rapidly
"Get up!" I hear that faithful onlooker plead
She won't insult me by looking away
When I start to bleed
Who knew a tongue could do so much harm
Lying in one's mouth?
Dancing to music that wasn't really there
Muttering about moments we never even shared
Your twisted jaw moves
But you've lost all sound
How soon till your breath runs out?
One leap, one strike, and the metal snaps away from your face
That chattering jaw comes unhinged
And your insincere tongue hangs down from your neck
I plunge through the ribs and grasp the steaming, slippery heart
It slides down my throat and I am king again
"Tear down these garish walls and let the prisoners free!
Throw their gaudy stones out to the sea!
Rip these dolls limb from limb, claws proudly unsheathed!
Our souls were never meant to be seen.

A good rainy day track.
Samantha - Learning German in the background.
Also, a bunch of... what you would call German country songs from the 60s/70s in the restaurant we were just in.
Shaun Baker - Xplode 2 (Backside Artists Remix)
Life is Strange Original Soundtrack
I've been listening to nothing but acoustic covers of hardcore/metalcore/whatevercore songs by people on YouTube.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5Bm0XNZCFA
Also, my friends told me about this album:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7YzJ4sk1TA
Where the album is a bit screamy, each song is written to the tune of a different story. They have the exorcist, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Alice in Wonderland, Carrie, Diary of Anne Frank, and a few other classics I can't remember quite at the moment. Good listening for me, anyway.
After the Burial :: Collapse
Crowded House. I forgot how many great songs they had.
Been listening to this for a week now.
I love this live video. Awesome performance of some awesome songs.
Rediscovered this gem.
Listening to this!

Trying to post the Youtube video on here is lagging the page for me like crazy, so I'll have to post this the 2004, old fashion way when this thread started!
Failure ~ by Breaking Benjamin
Saw them in concert last July, and can't get this song off my constant playlist! Love it.
Back on a Tool kick lately after having not really listened to them for years. Dunno why but I'm going with it and it's been awesome. My favourite song by them...
Don't usually like to double post buuut no one else has and it's been a while.
Kendrick is smurfing amazing.
Lazerhawk remains one of my favorites

This is the GOod good
Anyone who likes early Ministry, early Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, etc would dig The Black Queen. Interestingly, this is a side project of the lead singer of Dillinger Escape Plan. Here's a couple of tracks I've been listening to a lot lately.
A calming and slightly feelsy piano track.
I smurfing love this song and the filmclip.
BLACK VELVET AND THAT LITTLE BOY'S SMIIIIILE!!!
Magic FM is playing the tunes this afternoon.
I rarely post here, but I just can't stop listening to this
Really enjoying the new EP by TWRP. Very funktastic as usual.
Watched that new Beyonce album today. As usual, I don't like her music, but the cinematography is on point. I do legit like Daddy Lessons though. That trout goes hard!

Lemonade was a visual feast and layered with messages. The many celebrity cameos was also bumpin.
It's very (very) rare that a pop singer comes out that I genuinely enjoy, that is to say, they have more than one or two songs that I like. But I currently have this girl's album on repeat, I smurfing love it.
Do you remember 2004?
Wow this thread got 860 pages. We might need a new thread soon.
I made a playlist of what I listened to today before I went to work.

I know I was talking smack about the Rebuilds in the other thread but they have some great music lol. That song from 2 that plays during Third Impact with the kids singing is also great https://youtu.be/-WIiA9AuoLU
Edit: Been listening to the new Drake this week. It's baaaad, wow.
Listened to this on my way to work, featuring Jerry Cantrell on guitars! Smurf yeah!

Lyrics
these are the best times of our lives
don't ruin them with petty fights
so quick to throw a fist
it's your own point that you've missed
let me make this clear
I don't want your ego here
check them at the door
don't look to settle the score
these are the best times of my life
you weren't born with hardcore in your blood
remember who you were
remember who you are
remember who you were
remember who you are
I am listening to these songs, and I actually consider them to be musical masterpieces.
These compositions are honestly Mozart quality.
Yeah seriously, if you had someone listen to these compositions then that person would assume that they were written by some talented classical music composer in the past.
Try it yourselves, and you will get some reactions like that.
I know Undertale stuff is played out these days, so I try to avoid it (I've been too lazy to change my signature and other stuff off I have linked to profiles off this site). However, this track is just so damn good. This guy always puts his own flair on his VG covers and this one he had tons of fun. Just great guitar work all around. The best part was is that he uploaded it on April Fool's Day which confused everyone because after releasing an entire Undertale cover album (that was official) he said he'd never do an Undertale track again. Not only was it legit, but he covered my favorite track from the game beautifully. I think I might have posted this before, but I am too lazy to look, so sorry if I did.

Goodnight, dear
Goodbye
It's been a week and I like this thread, so I'll bump it with a SUPER HAPPY song!
I'm just going to bump this thread once in awhile. This one might be too noisy and/or long for some, but the last 3 to 4 minutes is worth it because of the excellent ending.
I also like this thread and am going to help Sephex.

This is my new favorite song at the moment and gets me pumped!
Can't wait for this album to come out.
This song just drips with atmosphere.
Probably posted this one at least once before, but it's still a favorite.

Lyrics
Falling ground beneath my feet
Pulling my heart through my ribs
Head hung low
Dragged through the soil
No one to carry me on through the storm
Through time reborn,
I'll become the blood of the Earth
A voice unheard
Desolation served to the grave
Punished through an age
I've felt the piercing cold
Claw at my skin
Bury me with the maker
Through time rebon,
I'll become the blood of the Earth
No one to serve
Each day withers and fades
Yet the guilt never leaves
Years of endless mourning
A conscience so unclean
I've begged, pleaded and beseeched
Humbled before your majesty
I've felt the cold Moon's mercy
Now it's suffocating
Relieve me
Push me back,
Pulling me back,
No crown shall I bare
Push me back,
Pulling me back,
To salvation
Eyes so palid
Keep the heart beating
Long live the blood I yield
I kneel before your throne
Oh, God, what have I done
Tell them I've suffered enough
No open arms wait for me
Just this cold body
Honestly... mostly Hamilton lately. :shobon:

I don't particularly like the Cardcaptor Sakura OP very much but... it just has a way of sticking in my head. CATCH ME CATCH ME CA-
Also the Yuru Yuri girls singing a metal version of their OP guest starring Marty Friedman from Megadeth.

I'd say this has been a weird afternoon but it's pretty standard for me tbh
I have two I'm cycling back and forth from.
Found that one while looking for another song on Youtube.
I got exposed to this song at work, and it got stuck in my head.I'm going to ignore the fact the lyrics are eerily accurate for my life lately.

I like how it feels like an improved, live performance. This is now on the short list of my favorite albums for this year.
This is me.
I'm really digging the new albums by Moby, The Kills, and Cate le Bon. Looking forward to getting The Avalanches.
I shared this with people online recently and it went over well, so maybe people here will enjoy this. Basically someone made a playlist of 80s sounding stuff that is really, really awesome and chill. Before GTAV was released, there was a rumor that Kavinsky (the guy who made THAT song that was in the movie Drive) was going to DJ one of the radio stations. Obviously, that never came to be, but this is what the person thinks it would have sounded like. If you go to the YouTube channel you can listen to two other playlists he made of a similar nature. So if you have time, throw this on in the background and chill out.
I have no flimsy excuse for double posting. Here is another beautiful, chill song.

I really wanted to listen to this song because my brother and I used to play this game all the time when we were little. So many good memories.
Her best music video, IMO. Jimmy/The Ripping Friends.

Multiple cloud number 9s. Love, man.
I mostly listen to bands like all time low, we the kings, WATIC and cryoshell
Happy music :3:
Have not listened to this in a while :)

DOUBLE POSTING LOL
On repeat blasting in my earholes.
I can't stop listening to this.
Love this song.
This guy did an AMA today on reddit. Dude was kind enough to answer a ton of questions. He said this was his favorite cover he did and that Paul Waggoner from Between the Buried and Me is a huge influence. Yeah, when he pulls out guitar work like on this track, that's very easy to see. I think Paul himself would really be impressed with his work.
One of the quintessential hardcore albums out there.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTFdJTfUQ_A
To give you an idea what a sheltered music school student I was, today was the first time I heard anything by the Foo Fighters
I'm about to pop that new J. Cole album today.
Normally I lean towards thinking if you are going to include lyrics in a song they should at least be good, or it can kill a song for me (Yes, I consider lyrics that don't really mean anything, but add to the vibe/mood of a song to be good), would it matter if Stevie Wonders Superstition had terrible lyrics (It doesn't)?
That is still one amazing groove, song could be about the threat of the Jewish populace and I'd still rock that trout.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CFuCYNx-1g
Currently listening to Dummy, the first Portishead album. Amazing as always.
If this was the version that played in the game, I would've dragged out the battles.
So far the only remix of this track I actually like better than the original. And it's by the original creator. Go figure.
My life outside of Christmas music right now. <3
Nine Inch Nails always gives me a reason to consider it my favorite band.

some good jappoknees instrumental/math rock
Been in a bit of a prog mood lately, these hit the spit aaaaand they're playing the toon next month!
I saw these guys live a couple days ago and I haven't stopped listening since. Plus the video is just cool to watch.
Just heard this song for the first time yesterday. I love it.
Stoked to be seeing these guys this weekend. Fans of modern metal and/or Faith No More-ish stuff should give them a listen.
Man, this is some crazy stuff.
A classic.
A couple of things actually.
Why am I just now finding this?
I went through a break up and now I'm listening to mothersmurfing Adele
Mostly because YouTube reminded me by having this clip pop up in my "Recommended for you" section.
Man I almost forgot about that movie.
I also love Agalloch, it's a shame they split last year, but I won't lie, I wasn't a fan of the Serpent and the Sphere.
Their first three albums were a huge part of my College years, I still listen to their albums without boredom, love them.
Iv'e been listening to Mithras of late - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmYgJPOEH2Q
