To be hot be honest I recently downloaded an audiobook app to my phone because I drive all over for work and am in my truck a lot, and right now I am half way through the book Journey to the Center of the Earth. What a great story. Been loving every second of it so far.
Feels
Calvin Harris Ft. Katy Perry and Pharrel
So much feels for this song right now.
TesseracT :: Smile
New song released today, can't wait for the new album!!
I'm gonna be a bit narcissistic here and recommend a few personal favourites from Swedish bands - I will ignore ABBA by the way, since they are obvious and kind of overplayed:
A couple film soundtracks.
This band is pretty good actually. I really like the drums and riffs, not even counting the vocals:

Origin: Dragon Ball Super: Future Trunks VS Fusion Zamasu
Honestly since Taylor Swift came back to Spotify a couple weeks back it's mostly been a T-Swift binge :shobon:
This is one of the few bright spots in my life lately.
I've been on a bit of a binge listening spree to some tracks from around my late teens to early 20s
Heck I think Young Blood is still one of my favourite tunes.
Post-black metal cover of Mad World.
Gotta love Stevie.
Cowboy Bebop rap done over the tune of The Real Folk Blues.
Really well done.
I can not stop listening to this. Normally this guy just does video game music covers and stuff, and to see such an amazing piece of original material was totally unexpected.
Family Jules' newest brand new version of the true final boss.

From Blyth Power to Zounds, interesting day.
I seriously can't stop listening to this song. Probably because I have tons of pent up aggression.
I've been doing nothing but listening to this whole album lately. Every time I drive with it on I feel like I am in a weird 80s movie, man.
Donna Lewis "Fool's Paradise"
Un Poco Loco from Coco - in cinemas boxing day. Obviously.
Can't get enough of this song
Dusting off my old MySpace favorites.
Thank God I found this topic....
I am actually a Jazz person, so jazzy tunes in this Trails in the sky fight soundtrack are nice to hear :) Actually one of the favourite battle themes... I have a question for you, dear reader. Read this? So listen for this AWESOME SOUNDTRACK .
One of my favourites lately... Ryuichi Sakamoto..... :) An emotional hurricane.
Found a really good upbeat hip hop tune recently.
I've been listening to a good bit of Lindsey Stirling lately.
I love this thread. It's cool to see such a huge diversity of taste among familiar faces and strangers alike. Anyway, I have really been digging this song lately.
i basically haven't stopped listening to john prine's new album since it's release. im ashamed to say i wasn't even aware of the fellow before (but im not a big music guy). its just so joyful to me.
NPR tiny desk with him is great too:

I'm obsessed with this cover.
My eldest son (soon to be 15) was sharing his favorite “artist” with me and showed me this (his favorite by them);
That one is a clear reference to a Mazinger Z episode I watched in kindergarten (around 36 years ago).
And then this (cool Scooby Doo influenced vid);
There’s more by them that is great, including;
And listening to these led me through a playlist where I stumbled upon this gem. My favorite “ear piece”, at the moment (it isn’t just the tune/lyrics/story, the video lends so much to the experience)...
A few things actually, but I'll just do one for now.
Never played this game, but because Spyro Youtube put it in my recommendations.
This'un, because playing through a legend of heroes game always has me listening to legend of heroes music.

The last few weeks I've had an obsession with K-Pop.

I am on a nostalgia trip this week. :D
I've been building a playlist for a character I'm writing, so a lot of things, but this one keeps popping up more than others.
This artist has become my new favorite obsession right now.
I've started listening to a lot of music I discovered from 2006-2013 and rediscovered Hard Girls.

VdGG has always been more of a challenge for me personally but I really like some songs like "House with no Door." Also Peter Hamill had a major influence on the early style of my favourite vocalist, Fish from Marillion.
Yesss. I got Misplaced Childhood a couple of years ago for that exact reason. But other than Kayleigh, I couldn't get into any of it yet - and that song I had heard before on the radio when I was younger. The similarities are there for sure!
Something german this time.
(I rarely ever listen to german music, come to think of it. Is that normal? Idk)
Perhaps because I've been talking about Evangelion a lot lately with a few people, it was not a surprise this popped into my youtube recommendations and I liked it when I heard it at the end of Rebuild 3.33; but now having a chance to listen to it again recently, and even hearing some tragic history around the time the song was written really made me love this track and appreciate it more.
Just give me a reason by P!NK
So, how did it take me until this year to realise that Janelle Monáe is the actual bomb?

The Ballad of Sweeney Todd.
I'm listening to an awesome duet between Moodoid and Kom_i from Wednesday Campanella
I don't really listen to music anymore, at least like I used to. If I am at the gym it's probably some Slipknot, when I was in highschool, my jam was Wait and Bleed. It has been such a useful tune, little did I know how important it was later when I needed it to drive me forward during my recovery and rehabilitation after my MVA many moons ago.
Currently I listen to a lot of ambient noise, and white noise because I read and write often, well more so read than write as of late.
Been listening to some Gorillaz feat. Fatoumata Diawara. ‘Désolé’
I love this song:

The Briefing: We're going to start a three fold attack. We've fed the enemy false information and while one army distracts them, another is going on a rescue mission. And you're going to go here and talk to this woman being worshiped as a god. Everyone is going to have to be on point for this to work.
The level music:

People can't wear t-shirts that say the wrong thing. People can't say the wrong thing. People can't gesture wrong. People can't have different opinions. Books are being burned. What the hell is going on in our country?

I probably can't stress how much I love Agalloch.
I'm only listening to it secondhand, but lately my wife has been listening to sea shanties...
That's awesome, sea shanties, lmao.
Yes, I’m at a point in this pandemic where I’ve taken to listening to sea shanties. It slaps.

I saw them live when they were called The Nude Dogs. The drummer is my soul. I remember when I went to see them, the lead singer Kali came and hugged me and her hair was so sweaty, she left a big sweaty streak all over my hand/arm. It smelt of garbage, yet it was probably the best feeling that ran through me when we embraced. I'll never forget the way she made me feel and I hope that I had a similar positive lasting impression on them.
Even if I also smelt, actually especially if I also smelt.
Listening to a lot of City Pop lately. Tatsuro Yamatrouta has a perfect voice.
Bluegrass and traditional country. Usually their live performances are great, but this one needs the album version to appreciate the melodies and harmonies.
