Best miserable update ever. I read "musrhoomY" and i was like "awwh this is gonna be the cutest stage ever...oh"

At the rate of these updates i smell a character over the horizen. Screw R.O.B. go krystal!

Thankfully, I got Super Mario Bros. later than most of you OLD people. It was cheap by the time I played it. :p I don't like how it's so desert-ish, though. I have more memories with SMB3 (considering it's infinitely better and I had both at the same time), but even so, I pictured it as a bit more grass-ish. But perhaps that's just being accurate. World 1 of SMB3 was a desert, and didn't look too different from most of SMB1's overworld. It just so happened that World 2 was way more of a desert. :choc2:
Anyway, about the stage itself... It reminds me of the Rainbow Ride stage from SSBM, because it scrolls and involves lots of platforming, clearly. However, one has to consider how it's going to loop. I'm willing to bet on a Warp Pipe everyone's forced into at the end of 1-2.

There we go, now the only reason why im STILL whining is recently folks ahve been whining about the final roster being 35 (which according to recent screens and lame yet accurate predictions seems to be the case) but the thing thats peeving me is everyones complaining about the characters that are on there. If the this final roster was evern close to being true then the only REAL complaint i have is that krystal has been replaced by R.O.B (not the system but the character from star fox...lame!!) which i cannot allow! So even though we've had are fair share of decent updates ive been waiting for krystal confirmation since october. Call it greedy, selfish, whiny, or whatever but i just dont want a character i feel deserving of a female starfox rep (heck a female rep period) to get the shaft because of...well R.O.B. (I dont hate ya R.O.B. and i realize you have been in more games but you just dont seem like the fighting type).
Whew actually i wouldnt mind a subspace update either (More bosses plz!) :D
Images of R.O.B. show the peripheral. The character from Star Fox looks completely different.
We don't really know whether the supposed playable ROB is from Star Fox or not, but according to the leaked roster he's speaking of, ROB is far from Fox and Falco on the character screen. Not only that, but having an enemy and a playable character who are entirely separate entities with the same name isn't very common in video games. I doubt that if ROB really is in the game, it will be anyone besides the peripheral.
The real question, though, is his stats. ROB was slooooooow. But he also was very light. And his arms weren't exactly powerful by any means. But that would leave him having some of the worst stats in the game, wouldn't it?
Thats why i figured if he WAS in the game he'd be the new "joke" character for brawl (like how pichu was for melee).
I'd say Mr. G and W was more of a joke character, but Pichu is definitely more comparable to the likes of Dan Hibiki.
This new level is, depressing. It's understandable that they'd make it look ancient now that it's so old but they could of at least made it look like an ancient jungle ruins so it'd have more life to it. Having vines, moss, and fungus growing on the level would make it less depressing and more Marioish. I guess having World 1-2 appear as the level instead somewhat makes up for it.
I really like the new Mario song that they added. Having the original theme remixed and played on piano really brings back good memories. I guess the song makes it happier. Somewhat. It's about time we got a Mushroom song as well.

I think the music will make it feel much lighter than the barren wasteland we see here. If it weren't for the music in SMB1, really, what would you have thought of the overworld?
There's new Adventure mode footage in the 2nd half of the video. Samus and Pikachu are teaming up in it.
