Very much so. As much as a bad result this is for us, I got to hand it to Burnley. This is no fluke either as they did this to Chelsea & Liverpool in the FA Cup last season. Even Fergie had the same attitude. The real downside of this match however is that I'm starting to think we're gonna really miss Ronaldo. At least that's what I'm seeing on Football First ATM. I'll give Valencia time though.

I thought Everton put us out of the FA Cup last season!
Also: Dude! Glen Johnson kicks ass at soccer! He's the MVP for sure! Americanisms aside, never thought I'd ever say words to that effect, but there they are.
That was the Liverpool of last season. I do think having our centre backs KOed (and Gerrard and Torres nursing injuries) are what held us back against Spurs. I think we lost at White Hart Lane last season but drew with Stoke, so we're +2 points from last season! :aimsun:

10/12 points, a bloody good start to the season for the toon. I'm hoping they can keep it up. :excited:

Two defeats already for Liverpool? Ouch. Mind you come the end of September I dread to think how many games we might have lost! :(

Need as in medically need a new striker.

I like the way Liverpool's season is going. :D

Some Russian I've never heard of and Sylvain Distin are going to take the Premiership by storm. Just you watch. We're only sitting bottom with a -6 goal difference to give the rest of you losers a chance.
Blind optimism works, right?

Decent European Cup draw for us.
The Eduardo diving business was daft and a bit cringeworthy (it's not like we weren't in control), but it's all such a storm in a teacup, the media as usual pointedly ignoring the occasions when it's an England international who does that sort of thing.

Tony Hibbert did a similarly terrible dive against Burnley and won us a penalty. This did not abate my serious diliking of Tony Hibbert. Still, he got sent off after 4 minutes yesterday and we were fine. It was nice of Sigma (our Czech opponents) to give us an advantage by getting Hibbert sent off.

And so the hallowed son returns.

Lee Trundle was such a God for me on FM2008 when I was managing Crewe. Scored liek 30 goals in a season to get us promoted to the championship. Severe love.

Current feeling around the pubs in South Wales: He's past it and won't make an impact, but we all secretly wish he will score a hat trick tomorrow
