I checked it another way it didn;t tell me numbers but yeah the only thing that I don'thave from the reccomended system is windows XP I have ME other then that everything is fine :)
Dude, get XP. It's really not hard to get for free. :P But yeah... we're not here to discuss such illegal matters. ;)
Hopefully my marks have risen and my exam marks will be a decent hight too, so I can get my new computer which will consist of a P4 3.2GHZ 1GB DDR RAM and a Radeon 9800 XT!
nice comp, whos make is that with?
i know dell had a bad rep from what ive heard but at the moment there not look that bad actually.
doing special offers now on www.dell.co.uk if ne 1 wants to look.
Final Fantasy Xl System Requirements just for the people who don't know:
Wind 98/2000/Me/XP home or pro
800MHz Processor
128MB RAM
32MB V/Card (NVida)
6GB HDD Space
Modem 56k greater
if your gonna build up a Pentium 4 machine of that stature just get RD Ram. But if you were really serious about gaming you'd get an AMD Athlon 64 and a gig of 400mhz DDR :) .
I'm actually going to build it through IBM. My dad did this HUGE company deal with IBM, so he's going to get a custom built computer with a huge discount off for me. I think I built one on Dell, just to see how much it'd be and it's around 4000 AUD where I can get it for 2000 AUD. xDQuote:

Its considerlaby cheaper to build from scratch. Its really not that hard as long as you can count pins :D lol. As long as you know what your doing a home built machine can be fairly lethal. But since its from scratch you have some more risks you can't just call Dell and be like "hey my PC blew up fix it". Recently the board i had shorted out and i dunno why but it drew too much current through the power supply on the red leads. The new board bought had a bad bios on it and i sent it back and i'm still waiting on the replacement. It kinda pisses me off cause FFXI is sitting in my desk and i can't play it. I'd use this computer but its my dad and i dunno if a Radeon 7000 will even work with the game anyway. Hes already pissed that i'm using his.
That Radeon would defenatly work with FFXI. As long as it's above 64mb one, which I'm positive it would be.
And that's what I meant about building a computer from scratch; unless you know what you're doing you can screw it up real bad. xD
Its a 64mb card. Windows has driver issues with it for some reason every time i try and use a ATI driver i get from their site it always screws up so it has to use the default Windows drivers so that could cause a problem and i just don't want to have to put up with the " I told you so" from the old man of the house. The new board i bought should be coming in fairly soon like tue, wed, or thursday at the latest so i should be playing by Friday night. I'm really afraid of the patch download, i got 56K :( so this is gonna suck.....
I built my comp over the summer, unfortunately, the vid card is the bottleneck. :/
OS: Windows XP Professional SP1
CPU: Intel P4 2.66 Ghz, sometimes overclocked to 3.0ghz. :D
Video: Sapphire ATI Radeon 9500 128 Mb softmodded to Radeon 9700 (8 pipelines! w00t!)
Sound: Integrated into MSI 875P NEO-LSR mobo Memory: 1024 Mb Crucial DDR
Other: 17" NEC MultiSync LCD, Logitech Cordless MX Duo, 120 Gb Seagate 7200RPM
right now i'm running a
Windows XP Pro
AMD Athlon XP 2000+
512mb 266mhz DDR
GeForce FX 5200 Ultra 128mb DDR
40 gig 7200 RPM western digital master HD
80 gig 7200 RPM Maxtor slave HD
Realtek Avance AC97 audio
soon i'm upgrading the processor to a AMD Athlon XP 2500+ 333fsb 512K L2 cache. I doubt if i'll upgrade it anymore. I'm gonna build up one of those Athlon 64 machines the summer before i got college so i got 2 years to get the money for it.
QUESTION???
I have Windows 98SE, will this bench work with it? I keep getting that Direct 3D error and I was wondering if I can update my drivers for an Intel 810e Chipset (I think that is what it is called; it's the name of the driver anyway) and have it work? Does anyone have the same graphics card as I do and got the bench to work?
Dude the game isn't gonna work with an Intel 810E those things are horrible i had one on a Hewlett Packard. the 810E in my HP had like 12mbs of video on it. that GPU is bad. If you have a AGP slot go buy a decent GeForce or Radeon vide card cause an i810E won't work.
