I didn't like the last episode, where Brian wrote himself into the comic. Maybe that just stems from my intense hatred of the Family Circus, though.
Eh, it was alright. Not great, all right.
I hope that guy doesn't vacation for too long. That last comic was more of an aside, not really in the 8-bit series. I think he did it just to say he was going for a couple days. Simply writing that would have been lame so he made a comic.
GLL, they are going to keep writing the comics but, well, read this...

Maybe it's one of those ordeals in which we face crappy comics while the author's away, but when he comes back he overlaps the bad stuff with the "proper" comics, like the Shirt Guy Tom strips in Sluggy Freelance.
The little dancing BlackMage was cute though...but, yeah, I hope we get out of this 'interlude', and soon.
I honestly just actually looked at it today after seeing a ton of links for it in sigs, and I love it! I read maybe 60-70 of them!!
This little off-tangent is okay. I'm not going to tell the author what he should do (making each episode of a 67-episode-long comic hysterical is impressive), but I like the characters a lot and really can't wait until they get outside of Corneria (and possibly meet Black Belt and White Mage again). I don't mind off-tangents, and I think I'll like this as long as it doesn't go on for too long.
Oh, and Bahamut2000X, concerning Black Mage hitting on Lich: even despite the gender argument, there is the slight matter of Lich being undead. Granted, I SUPPOSE Black Mage might think that way, but.... :whoa:
I never thought i'd say this, but that was one stupid episode of 8-Bit theater. One of the worst. Of course, the author probaly purposly made it bad to further advance the stupidity of Fighter...
Chill out, yo! It's only a comic, they can have off tangent episodes all day if they wanted to =o
Yeah, I know. 1 bad comic as oppose to the 60-something great ones isn't going to make me stop loving 8-Bit Theater. All im saying is that one was bad. Im not mad at them or anything.

You know, Fighter was funny and cool when he was just slow. Now that he's a cliched idiot he's just annoying. I'm starting to lose my love of this comic since the characters are just stereotypes (And not good ones) now.
I found that rather amusing. I'd have liked it better without the horrible grammar though. It'll get better again, I'm sure, once things are back to normal.
Am I glad I finally decided to come down to the FF1 forum to check this out! This series just rocks. Although, it was really good at the beginning when it was just Fighter and Black Mage, at the time when Fighter didn't seem to be much of an idiot.
Now that Fighter's in charge...yessh, it's all weird...the first actual interlude episode was kinda...eh. More showing of how dumb Fighter is than anything else. Hopefully, it'll be back to the good ol's day of BM in no time...
