When you ask someone how they feel, you can never get a very direct answer because emotion is something that changes too often. We can easily be happy one minute and feel completely opposite the next. So unless someone posts everytime their feelings change, you'll only really know how they felt at the time of the post. Also, one will usually feel different by the time their post is actually read.
To add more reason, the posts are very short. VERY short. A reply like "Sad" or "GREAT!" is not uncommon. A question like this does not involve any thought, opinion, knowledge (not that that's a bad thing), or experience. It's a question that applies to everyone, which is definately a good thing. But it's too basic. It has nothing to grab attention to it, someone who wants a quick two word post will post in it. But you won't get a firm discussion out of it.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be an asshole. But I just don't find this a useful question for a forum. For IRC or MSN it's great though, because if someone feels any different, you can know right then and there.
Once again, not trying to insult or offend. Just offering my opinion.
Oh, and right now I feel slightly happy.
