I finished the game today + loved it. 9.5/10. I could get a little repetetive at times.

I'm a bit late responding to this quote but... I've seen the final boss be beaten at level 28... so they're are other ways to win then level grind (although that helps!)Quote:

Yeah, there's not 'level grinding' or 'Gil farming' in DQVIII. If you have a brain, you can play the DQ games. Instead of mindlessly leveling up, think up a strategy.
I love Dragon Quest VIII. Being in the UK, this was the first DQ title ever released here (so it's basically just called Dragon Quest). Definately the suprise hit of the year for me, maybe even of this decade.
