You're right, Luna. With two factions the game wouldn't end, I suppose.

But two factions seems a fact to me. With a prostitute and a mafia cop, you just can't have one faction.

One other thing before I leave, Dumbledore. He posted on day 1, then disappeared only coming in once or twice, leaving a post that makes no contribution.

Even Filch and Pettigrew were more involved than this. I don't like it this late in the game for someone to be inactive. He says he has reasons, well if it's a good one, shouldn't he get a replacement?

I don't really think Myrtle is scum. I mean, she did really encourage us to go after Dudley. Though I guess if there are two mafias, she could be in the other one. I suppose we have more to go on her than anyone else at this point, so I really can't argue against voting for her to strongly.

I'm against killing someone simply because they're inactive. Our past lynch was speed-majority technically (but just shy of 24 hrs). What if they're town and they're just simply inactive? I don't want to take that chance. Nights have been occuring just fine, so either they have no night actions, or they're laying low on purpose.

I hate this game. It makes me contradict myself. :mad:

What else did you want me to say? I explained the inactivity and I think that's pretty much what mattered most, unless you wanted me to instantaneously become suspicious of someone just to 'make a contribution.'

Typically the host would confirm something like that, but if you lied they wouldn't say anything because exposing a lie like that would influence the game too much.

Personally, I think Buckbeak blocked me and so the Mafia went after him. Unless there is another Doctor, they'll probably go for me tonight.

Another point!

I revoke my non-suspicion of Hagrid, he was the only one to not vote for Dudley, instead he was preaching about how guilty Hermione was, then Hermione died that night and he's acting like he knew all along and should be trusted as a townie.
I think its likely he was on Dudleys side all along, and knew Hermione was mafia some how.

Any thoughts on this?

I don´t think this is likely. He really said, that he was suspicious of Hermione before it was revealed, that she was scum.
Although this could of course have been because he knew it and he only mentioned it after my first post as Filch where I claimed the same.

Sorry, I've been busy and at work. I was hoping to post what I have to say this morning, but was unable. Here we go:

Ok, guys, this may come as a surprise for some of you, but this is what we really need to do this day: lynch Snape.

Hear me out first before you argue with me: this really, really works out perfectly for Snape if he's mafia. Let's take a look at his claim. If he's mafia, let's see how well this works out for him:

With the number of mafia and Godfathers, it's safe to assume there are two different mafias. Let's say Snape finds out who the other Godfather is (perhaps he's on the same mafia team as Ron). How to eliminate him and save his own skin, and maybe a buddy or two of his, at the same time? This roleclaim does that perfectly.

For one, he gives the name of a mafia Godfather, who we would obviously want to lynch to test Snape's claim over Snape himself. Go back and see how often Snape urged us to lynch Snape himself instead in order to confirm his claim, which we obviously weren't going to do. Overracting much? Then once we see Dudley was a Godfather, if we thought Snape was legit we wouldn't want to lynch him. So that could save himself in the process.

But look at his other "investigation" claims. Mr. Filch he claimed is a paranoid gun owner, who investigating roles wouldn't want to target anyway because he would kill in response (and we wouldn't want to lynch because he's pro-town), and Peter he says is a Jester, who we wouldn't want to lynch to test the claim either (and would obviously deny being the Jester even if it was true). Peter's been a pretty lame Jester, don't you think? And Snape's explanation for why his investigation of Filch didn't kill him is pretty questionable, at best.

And now he said he was roleblocked so he can avoid incriminating himself. Well, he has to, because he has no convenient roles left he can use, and he's probably run out of mafia buddies to protect anyway.

My suspicion is that Snape, and possibly Filch and/or Peter are mafia. I say we actually take Snape up on his offer today.

Hi, I'm back guys.

You're right, Hagrid. I've been thinking about this since I mentioned that there are two mafia's. Snape calling out on two unlynchable roles seemed awfully suspisious.

The thing that did it for me is the fact that Peter does not behave like a Jester at all, more like the opposite.

And if we don't know for certain if Snape is the record keeper, he could have a problem. If we rule out 3 players that could be mafia, and start killing off townies instead, we could risk losing all together in a day or two.

I for one, do not want to take that risk.

But Myrtle is DD, and however we shouldn't let that trouble the game, I recognize how he fails tremendously, and usually without being mafia.

That however, doesn't mean I don't keep a very close watch on her, as I've shown in my first post.

I am not going to vote for him today. I don´t know if the Jester story is true (maybe its Peters plan to not actually help so, so that we get rid of him just because of that) but I see no reason for him lying, when he got 2 two roles right.

You helped to get the godfather, that's true, but with 2 factions, it's not without reason that we might think this is all a clever sheme.

I've yet to hear from Dumbledore and Luna about this, and seeing as we can't really trust Peter and Filch on this, I'd like to hear their perspectives.

If we lynch Hagrid, and he's town(I've never gotten a scum vibe from him), we've learned nothing. It's not like we have a real suspect at the moment, and I prefer a lynch from which we learn who's town and who's not. I can't explain it easier.

Go back and look at his roleclaim for yourself, and then at my post. How does what I say not make sense?

And I was suspicious about Voldemort before, and I posted that. I stopped accusing him because I really don't have anything solid on him, and a pretty strong theory against Snape (and likely Filch, possibly Peter).

Ok, Myrtle, I think Filch is likely scummy too, but why him over Snape? If Snape's mafia has figured out some roles, it's possible they did know who the paranoid gun owner is. So while I would agree that if Snape is mafia, it's highly likely Filch and/or Peter also is, but it is not certain. The only certainty, if my theory is correct, is that Snapes is.

I'm not really certain what happened with the night phase. Buckbeak's protection has already failed once before with Sirius, which makes me think that there is a Mafia Hitman or a Mafia Ninja. If that is the case and Snape has such a powerful role, why not use them and just go after Snape before he ends up investigating more Mafia? It doesn't make too much sense to go after Buckbeak since Buckbeak is protecting people with night activities, thus making them unable to perform them...

Dumbledore really doesn't post much, but Harry has already confirmed that something made him miss a day... still, if it was just a day, why doesn't he post more now?

For Filch, I can't really say much... Aside from the first day, someone has died each night with a role that lets them target people, be it Doctor, Cop, prostitute(Though I'm not entirely certain what that role does, I would think it's a targeting role.). It very well COULD support his and Snape's claim, but I am still a bit suspicious give the fact that Buckbeak was killed instead of Snape...

Hagrid has helped a bit, so I am not too suspicious of him. He has already been against someone who was proven Mafia. But of course with two Mafia factions basically confirmed, he could simply be working with the other.

That's really all that I have noticed right now. I apologize for not being here earlier... Unfortunately, I slept a little late.

Even if it is random, it still targets the person, it is just a random targeting, not a direct one.

My thoughts exactly. I figure that now that Bucky was protecting Snape, Snape could not make investigations for and/or against Mafia members. With everyone believing that Snape was a Record Keeper and that he could investigate someone at random, it would make more sense to keep Bucky in the picture to protect/roleblock him and keep him from his investigations so that he could not find any more of them.

This is exactly my situation.

Anyway, my reason for voting for Voldemort was to get some heat going, it wasn't anything serious but the fact that Myrtle was so quick to explain the decision has me wondering if they/he is just going along with the bandwagon to not look like scum.

I'm also suspicious of Snape not being targeted by Mafia(s) since she is a Record Keeper. At least one of the mafias would have targeted her by now. I understand you guys' suspicion of me, and maybe I'm not playing the most active game ever, but since we seem like we're at a standstill I'll try and contribute as much as I can.

Okay... so say that Buckbeak's night action went through and Snape was roleblocked... that still doesn't explain why Buckbeak was killed instead of Snape. Sirius was killed even with Buckbeak's protection/roleblock. It's not impossible for there to be a Mafia Hitman or a Mafia Ninja... which means that Buckbeak's protection wouldn't matter anyway. One would think that they would go after the majorly important roles, like Snape's, until Buckbeak started stopping the Mafia's night actions. We have yet to kill a hitman or ninja, so they could have easily just killed Snape and gotten it over with.

The mafia wouldn't have targetted Snape last night because Buckbeak was probably blocking him and such. So they killed Buckbeak, leaving him with no protection. Sirius still died because the Prostitute may have been blocking Buckbeak that night. They most likely didn't know what his role was at that point, seeing how it was only night two.

My guess is that the Prostitute and Sirius were in seperate factions.

It depends, yet seems simple. If everything would be as it seems, Snape is the likely target now that protection is out of the question.

But if Snape is in fact the mafia, they would try to silence not me or Hagrid, but some third party. Killing Hagrid or me would obviously confirm that at least one of that merry band of three isn't who Snape says it is.

Either way, Snape gets it, I suppose. I don't have any other suspects, except for Myrtle(as always), so I don't want to start off lynching townies that I don't even suspect.

Well... I am genuinely confused... I'm not too sure what to do right now... Filch would be the next one to prove or disprove Snape's innocence... I'm seriously doubting that Filch is the Paranoid Gun Owner... since Snape's role would 'randomly target' someone to investigate. It is still a targeting role, so he would have died. I truly am at a loss... but I say that it would be easiest for Filch... he doesn't seem to have been targeted by the Mafia or we would have more Mafia deaths. Exactly, there are but two things that can happen, either we lynch him or we don't.

Yes, it is - but you should rephrase that to being "still alive now." If it was really random, he had a good chance of investigating someone who's now dead, and that would be a very easy out. Now for the roleclaim:

You claim that you randomly investigate people. And start with three huge Power roles.

1. Peter - Jester. Sounded suspisious right off the bat. He doesn't sound like a Jester, isn't online enough to be a Jester, and isn't annoying enough to be a Jester.

2. Filch - Can't be investigated, period.

3. Godfather - Needed for proof of role, but could've been known any number of ways, including sacrifice.

Then you, I couldn't even find Record keeper in the flashfic. Highly doubtful they wouldve put a rolecop next to the half a dozen other cops in this game.

I'm suspicious of Snape, obviously since he claims I have role that I don't have, but there are other reasons. Dobby is smart. If Snape had "investigated" a paranoid gun owner he would have been killed. More likely is that he is covering up his mafia friend's tracks. There are other ways to know Dudley was a Godfather besides the made-up sounding role of Records Keeper.

Then again, Snape gave us a Godfather. Filch hasn't given us anything. Since it right now it seems like they are working together, I say we off Filch and then take care of Snape tomorrow, if nothing else changes. This will be Snape's last chance to prove his is with us.

Sorry I haven't been playing much. It's hard to keep with you guys and I've been busy.
