Things that made you happy today!

We have a fluffy and white new kitten. His name is waffles. We will be eating waffles for supper in his honour.

Looking round the shops for house stuff after Bubba and I had an offer accepted on our first house on Fri eve! Eeek!!!

I got new socks. They have polka dots and are cute

I completed NaNoWriMo!! First ever time participating!!! So happy!!

My novel is only about 1/10th done though, so I still have to keep at it

BUT SO MUCH YAY

Had a great Thanksgiving dinner with friends.
I also finally got around to getting rid of the adware virus I downloaded. So that is good.

I managed to get a 50 inch tv at walmart during black friday without having to fight anyone at all. Not bad for my first black friday.

Bought Christmas decorations yesterday! And we're getting a tree!

Also had lunch @ Red Lobster & left like 40% tip. Felt great being able to make someone else's day a little better.

I got bubble tea today.

Just put up my Christmas tree today and spent a couple of hours decorating it! Was so much fun!

[I am undergoing many differing yet all very stressful things, so I was not happy to be put in this situation, but] I ran a Carnegie Library branch by myself today for the first time!

Lucky! I'm jealous.

Don't be, not only was it my first time, but it was also the first time we were open since Thanksgiving - much too much work for just two people to do! If I'm ever running it on a normal day, I'll be able to light the fireplace, water the plants, admire the stained glass dinosaurs, and actually spend quality time assisting patrons! That will truly be a good day.

I do understand about having too much work to do to really enjoy it, though. Is this an opportunity that's going to lead to a more permanent situation?

It's unlikely, but any shift I work in that position comes with a pay increase/physical labour decrease, so I'll take it!

I learned a new snowboarding trick : )
