I bet Drogo's special move is he kills everyone on the screen.
Then dies from a scratch.

Jojen was far more badass in the show than the book. YES! :D
Gifs of giffyness time! This episode was AWESOME. And yeah jojen was cooler than the book. Also, it's "Boy"! Save me Barry! Some of the best moments of the episode!

The last one with Brienne is the funniest. I'm watching it in the UK later tonight. Can't wait!
FORMY?! You haven't watched it? I put it in spoiler tags for a reason! xP
Ahaha I was wondering where I'd seen him before. SAVE ME BARRY
This episode was great. I loved Sansa's, Arya's and Bran's parts. I didn't expect this part of Theon's storyline to come so soon, but it does make sense. I'm looking forward to seeing it.
Oh, one thing I'm iffy about is the Queen of Thorns' casting. Her dialogue was up to scratch, but I thought her delivery lacked some of the bite that she has in the book.
Given a number of theories that have emerged since A Feast for Crows regarding the Tyrells and their longterm game plan, it would not surprise me if the only reason we haven't seen Margaery being more manipulative and calculating is simply a lack of (perceptive) point of view characters spending any great deal of time with her.
For the ways that the show has deviated from the books (characters being combined, removed, brought in late, etc.), I'm very much liking the direction that it's all going.
I agree. It's a bit early to say, but so far I think they're handling S3 better than S2 in terms of book-to-show changes.
I do think Margaery is as cunning in the books as she is in the show, but as often is the case, the show medium requires a whole lot less subtlety to bring out the characters.
After watching S3E2 I quite enjoyed the entrances of the characters we missed in the first episode, old and new. And indeed, the episode was very gif-able.
Which I'm slightly obsessed with.

Jon Snow, your face.
I also enjoy the little memes coming out of the fandom. Or maybe I've just become to obsessed with this series. :T
I've watched the latest episode now that it's been broadcast and here are my general thoughts on it:
Season III / Episode II
- It's good that it's more focused than the first episode. The first episode, like many premieres, recapped on pretty much every storyline in existence, while this one completely took out Dany and Stannis's storylines. It's better that way.
- Thoughts on the new characters. The Reeds are a welcome introduction; though their initial encounter with Bran and Osha was slightly unnecessary. They certainly didn't give much away and were pretty suspicious, no wonder Osha attacked Jojen. I feel like their presence this episode was mainly exposition, explaining to Bran what warging and sighting in. It'll be interesting to see how they develop past being a tutor to Bran.
- I quite liked Olenna Tyrell's performance actually. It complimented Margarey's softer side well as they questioned the clearly nervous Sansa. I really wish Sansa toughened up some more. Her demeanour doesn't move far from "stock-still nervousness"
- Talking about Margarey, I love her cunning manipulation. She rivals Petyr and Varys for their manipulation. Still, I do like her. She trumps Cersei anyway.
- Poor Theon. I don't think his escape is going to get far if you ask me.
- Any other thoughts? It's a good episode, with many open ended questions. What will happen to Arya? What will happen to Jaime and Brienne? It sets up well for the third episode.
Thoughts
OMG BRAN IS GROWING UP. HIS VOICE. PUBERTY. ;-;
I would protect Jojen Reed, if you know what I mean. ;)
I love Margaery. When she starts stroking the crossbow. xD
The scenes with Theon were very upsetting to me. I actually screamed at a few points.
Arya's story is as boring as ever, sadly. Except that reveal line was pretty bad ass.
Formalhaut--I don't understand why you're upset with Sansa being nervous. She knows she can't trust anyone, and if word gets back that she's been speaking ill of Joffrey, he'll punish her. It's understandable.
