And my point was that I dont dislike the people OR the nation. Its stupid to hold on to something just because it happened in the past. Judge countries and people by what they are doing NOW. And as a said before, the US has come under a lot of heat lately, but its so easy to sit from the sidelines and criticize instead of actually experiencing a country.Quote:

YEs, a warning to fix it or the treaty is off is a fair warning. this is really tying in with the nukes post now lol. I just don't want to see people go through what they were and are. But i dont see much of a way to do this.
As far as you being scottish, I never meant any disregaurd. I am sure that there are several greedy types over there too. Thus the face that a country is just borders and rules, the few badapples are what stick out and ruin a name for a country, ie mxDonalds and such. I am greatful that you are thankful for being scottish and myself american. Prehapse one day all this crap will be over and we wont ever really need to label ourselves as being an Evil American and a Godly Scott - or what ev.
We all are fighting for the same virtues here Cloud- We have fronts in our own country on business level that are trying to restrict greed and such politically. This is how we want to see Iraq.. The middle east needs peace - obviously fighting and oppresion was not doing anything.

I still dont see how you can be so against the U.S. I firmly believe that you cant get an accurate view of a country if you have never even been there. You cant condemn a country or their businesses are evil unless you have experienced firsthand what that country has to offer.

i believe you probably get a better view being outside a country than inside. that's why nazi germany worked so well. those who were in it didn't see what all the fuss was about. same with russia etc. they saw their country as right because it is what they were in.

oh there's no disregard about the scottish thing. it was meant jokingly. i'm not a true scot anyway. my parents are english and i don't have a strong national identity at all. i'm glad not to be in america but i'm not glad to be scottish at all. i just am. i don't have any great feelings about that. i don't suffer from patriotism at all.
and i wouldn't label someone "evil" for being american. but i can label an american "evil" for being "evil".

And how is America supposed to take care of 3/4 of Africa, 3/4 of the Middle East, North Korea, and half of South America at the same time? Whilst maintaining their other bases throughout the world? It'd probably take the entire United States to train as soldiers for their to be half as many people as would be needed. yuki by america i mean it's government and parts of it's society and culture.
about the being able to hate americans thing. i can hate a french man for being a a certain way. and i can hate a british man foe the same thing. same with an american. but i wouldn't hate a man purely for being french, british or american.
