Yeah the sub mission objectives were pretty brutal in AC:Brotherhood.
Yes, very long haul.

I'm 130 hours into Xenoblade and finally at the second to last dungeon.
Are you sure it's the second to last dungeon? The game loves faking you out...
I'm using a guide at this point because there were a lot of 'can't go back to this place again ever' moments near the end and I didn't want to miss anything. The guide ensures me that this is the second to last one. (SPOILER)Bionis Interior.
Bought WWE 13 yesterday after telling myself I was gonna wait until after Christmas. Glad I didn't wait! The Attitude Era mode is pure awesomeness. I bought the Fan Axxess dlc again too. The controls were overhauled last year and are much more polished this time around. The graphics have taking a noticeable leap forward too. I really wish they'd make a more realistic looking crowd though.
It's great being able to relive all the awesome moments that I watching growing up and it's a great reminder of why I like pro wrestling in the first place. The most fun challenge so far was the Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker Hell in a Cell from Badd Blood 1997
Well this just makes me all the more excited.
I'm not very far in at all, I just barely (SPOILER)Left the first town. I'm actually afraid that the chick isn't going to remain dead. I hate games bringing characters back to life most of the time, so I hope they don't go there. :p
Against my better judgement, I decided to play AC3, just so I can talk to my GF without getting spoilers and I guess with the elections and Thanksgiving around the corner, it might be interesting to immerse myself in the Revolutionary War.
Baldur's Gate II. Again.
Did I mention I love this game? I did? Well, why haven't you all played it yet and told me how awesome it is?
Speaking of, how's the LP going? ;)
Finished AC: Brotherhood. The game was short but I enjoyed the ending.
Now I hope I can play Revelations on my PC, 2.0 Ghz CPU might not cut it.
Tomb Raider: Legends. Go it for like $2.50 during a Steam weekend sale. Pretty fun so far.
Currently Playing:
World of Warcraft
Assassin's Creed 3
Torchlight
XCOM when it's not actually crashing my computer
Sanic 2
Really feeling the urge to get back into Morrowind again...
while i wait for dark souls to arrive
i am playing JET SET RADIOOOO
Playing:
Cave Story: Monster X is putting me on hold though. Fudge that guy.
LoZ OoT: II actually think I'm going to get over the iffy controls and try and beat this game this time around.
Dissidia 012: Just having fun, firion and the warrior of light are both awesome.
Oblivion.
I also just got the awesome Pathfinder Core Rulebook, after my delivery being delayed almost a week for Sandy. It looks awesome, hopefully our EoFF sessions will give it some good use (even though it's all online).
But Knight Solaire needs you :(
Attachment 37954
Pike, I will kidnap a baby panda whilst in China, teach it to say "ai wuv oo" and make it hug you if you just play Dark Souls.
Why would you even question playing dark souls? As a sunbro you can throw giant bolts of lightning. LIGHTNING I SAY!!!!!!
Also, found this. I don't know if it's an old photo but it's pretty damn amazing.
Phew it's kinda largehttp://pressthebuttons.typepad.com/....0da8970b-800wi
Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together!
Tactics Ogre: LUCT is one of the greatest games I played in a while.
Finally beat that mammoth Xenoblade Chronicles and I'm in the mood for something different so I'm giving Journey a try.
Playing Quantum Conundrum
dork souls
Still playing dissidia 012
My favorite characters so far
Firion Lv.100 (my main guy, firion is a badass)
Cloud Lv.100 (He's actually surprisingly fun to play as)
Vaan Lv.65 (This was a massive surprise, he's outrageously fun to play as, and he'll be Lv.100 very very soon)
Warrior of Light Lv.80-something (Meh, he's pretty fun... starting to lose his flair though)
Just started Story 000 a couple hours ago and it's quite interesting. I've only done 1 gate and a bit of exploring, so I can't say anything yet.... but I do have one comment.
>Exit Lv.50 gate
>accidentally run into a Lv.80 Sephiroth Manikin before putting everyone back to default levels
>proceed to get slaughtered until kain cheeses the entire fight.
Yeah, that was a bit of a surprise.
Aion, doing some crafting...
Assassin's Creed Revelations
To my surprise, the game does not lag much on my PC. The missions are fun, I really enjoy the Masyaf key ones.
Journey was shorter than I thought. I guess it was meant to be played in one sitting. But man, what a beautiful game. A work of art. It really gripped me.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, I am now playing God of War III. Time to kill some gods. :)
assassins creed
the main story is to short wich is a real shame :(
you an really notice they put the most in the graphics etc.
but it also makes the game a bit laggy, i asked around and i wasnt the only one with that problem.
and its a little buggy. floating weapons, losing arrows when switching area..
and through the story there werent much side-missions either.
i loved the game.. but it could have been so much better if they put more into the story line
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (PC)
Planescape and FF3 have been too slow for my attention span so I finally downloaded Black Mesa and am totally blown away by it so far.
Finished AC:Revelations. The ending was really powerful, really epic. (SPOILER)I almost cried when Altair died
Can't wait to play Assassin's Creed 3... But I think that TES V: Dawnguard and Aion will keep me busy enough.
hhhm... im out of games ... i think its time to play Ada's story in Resident Evil 6
Finished Assassin's Creed III last night, still trying to chew it over and come to a consensus on my thoughts of the ending and overall game. Guess I'll put the PS3 on the backburner and hook up the Wii to either finally play Zelda Skyward Sword or The Last Story. I think the amount of "it's mediocre" comments both games have been receiving has made me delay playing either of them.
On handheld, I'm finishing up Peace Walker on the PSP which has been a long and strangely annoying process for me. I just don't think MGS works on a handheld. After that, part of me was hoping to finally start playing Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together but I'm also incredibly hesitant cause this game has been getting so much praise from people lately that I feel I'm going to walk away a bit disappointed if it doesn't just blow my mind, so I may hold off until the hyperbole around here ends and just finish Persona 2 and 3 instead.
God of War III completed! Assassin's Creed Brotherhood next up!
Currently trying to best the Feral Chaos Manikin in Dissidia Duodecim 000 storyline. I'm building up my army... sadly one of my favorite characters is in-viable for the battle against him, and I suck at fighting this guy too.
I currently have...
Man Lv. 100s are easy to get when you learn the tricks
Lv. 100 Firion (Solid option, lots of viable Brv ~> Hp attacks, and can snipe from the top of the stage with his bow)
Lv. 100 Cloud (Omnislash Brv. to Hp link, need I say more?)
Lv. 100 Warrior of Light (Easy Brv. to HP links... and shield of light may potentially be useful)
Lv. 100 Gabranth (Sadly my weakest link for this fight)
Lv. 100 Vaan (May actually use him in the fight... didn't think he'd be viable until I thought it over. Windburst and Torrent spam may just put a dent on the guy... or get me killed)
Lv. 100 Emperor (FCs massive size makes him near unable to dodge his traps, and if I can keep level headed he could be very useful... even w/o starfall spamming)
Lv. 100 Kain (Could possibly be amazing, but very easy to screw it up/quite reliant on a decent assist... which I can't choose for the match)
Sadly, gabranth is nearly entirely useless in the battle, due to his strength being in building up high amounts of brave (and after a set time brave attacks do 0 damage to FC), not to mention the 8 or so seconds it takes for him to be able to even use HP attacks, so I may mass level Terra/Yuna/Bartz so I can just cheese that fight and get on with the game.
Planetside 2
Not enjoying it but got a case of peer pressure going on. I generally suck at FPS games do that doesn't really help in a competitive MMOFPS like this...
One of my friends said he was downloading that earlier today (well, technically last night). I decided to download it myself when I got home since it's F2P and everything, although I also fail miserably at FPS games. But hey, I figured there will probably be enough people in a single game that nobody would notice a single nooblord like myself dying left and right anyway.
Feel free to add me on Steam and I can join you if you don't think you're failing hard enough. You can find me via the EoFF group, or through a few of the members' friends lists.
My life is currently consumed by Xenoblade. And it is glorious.
Just finished MGS4. This was definitely not a good as I remembered it to be.
Warning, long angry rant
First of all, the controls are way too complicated to make the player act or feel like a legendary soldier. Second, jesus the pacing is off. I finally understand why people say Kojima is the exact opposite of a poet: he barely says anything with seemingly an infinite amount of words. The points that do matter (and there's a lot of meaningful stuff in all MGS games) like the war economy, ID control, information control, manipulating the masses, trading human lives for profits and the corrupt monetary system all drown in the jibberish that surround them (like Raiden's emo story about rain or lightning or whatever the tit that was about). And don't forget they make you watch cutscenes featuring only Snake choking/smoking for minutes, or the beast bosses scream/laugh for way way way too long.
It could've been a real eye-opener to everyone, but damn they've made it hard to understand the core of the story.
The happy ending is obviously ridiculous. The long hard journey the main characters make loses all impact when everyone shows up happily after losing both arms, getting crushed by a colossal ship or taking 2 full magazines to the chest. Raiden should've died. Meryl should've died. Johnny should've died. Snake should've died.
Even though they pulled some cool tricks gameplay wise to actually trigger some emotion (like the final corridor and the final fistfight), these brief moments definitely do not outshine the tedious amounts of slug that's in between. I will not be playing this again anytime soon.
Now I'll return to the one and only true path of Dark Souls. Which barely speaks a word and still goes deeper than anything I ever played. Thank you for listening.
just started up Zelda: Twilight Princess again today. i smurfin love tears of twilight and fetch quests
actually the only thing that gives it any replay value at all is the ability to skip cutscenes so it's not that bad
Finally started playing Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. I just finished the first forest temple and met Giraheim or whatever he's called. So far I have mixed feelings about the game. The plot hasn't quite grabbed me like Twilight Princess' story did and so far the overuse of the Wii Motion controls have made the puzzles a bit underwhelming. I also can't stand flying. The world is very interesting and I like the idea that for once, the legendary mythical land is actually you're homeland so that's an amusing angle. It's still fun and quirky. I like they kind of lampshade that it's the 25th anniversary for the series within the story, yet I can't shake how much I felt Twilight Princess was better. Midna is still the best companion Link ever got stuck with, whereas Fi is just kind of there, and she's been taking lessons from Navi on how to be annoying and useless about information.
I also feel it's weird cause the game is harder in some ways, and yet I feel like they designed it to be easier, probably to compensate for the full Wii Controls. I'll keep going along but me thinks I may be switching over to The Last Story not too long from now. I've also been finishing up a file of FFTactics.
I am playing Dawnguard.... The final fights are epic, but the last boss got glitched for me so I rage quitted. I am going to try again later.
I was also stuck in Soul Cairn for 4 hours or so, trying to find the missing pages for Jiub, who also was in the beginning of Morrowind. I felt nostalgic.
I played Frog Fractions the other day, which takes about 30-60 minutes to complete (I forget how long it took me) and I suggest everyone go and search for it and play it immediately. It's an online game and it's free, so no excuses! Go! Play! Enjoy!
Started a new Vagrant Story game. I still love the atmosphere, battle system and weapon upgrade mechanics. Two hours in and I have reached the first workshop. I stray from my normal tactics a bit and try to use crossbows and two-handed weapons a bit more.
Edit: the similarities with Dark Souls are also apparent and fun to figure out.
I started playing Heroes of Might and Magic III again.
I continued where I left off and finished the Armageddon Blade campaign. It was pretty easy. Next campaign I am trying to conquer is Dragon's Blood, the first scenario is quite difficult, but I like it. It makes me think through anything I do.
(I hate Dungeon :mad2:)
to make space for teh thq pack i decided to delete all the other stuff on steam i've finished. then i realized i never finished bioshock so im playing ti now.
I REALLY LIKE IT
way more than i did before
glad i soldiered on with it
It probably won't blow your mind, it's just more of what you've come to expect from Matsuno and his close circle, and it's their latest project.
I've been replaying it myself down the Lawful story path (Chaos the first time) and between coming across another one of the very challenging battles and having a ton of new classes that need some grinding, I'm probably gonna put it to the side for a few days.
I booted up Oblivion last night to check out my file and I came to the same hard realization that stopped me from playing Fallout 3 after the Vault - I really couldn't possibly care less about any of the quests in my quest log. I need to get back to the main story, but I was a little underlevelled, which put me on the whole sidequest kick for a bit. Still, the mods have been glorious and make it very nice to play.
Despite being a hardcore mega dudebro extreme who only cares about his Kill : Death ratio and how many prestige levels he has, I actually put multiplayer aside and started the campaign in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. I'm actually pretty impressed. The 1980's flashbacks are just more of the same as the first game: gritty and awesome, but I've already been through all that. The main 2025 story is pretty glorious. It's a lot like that AAA blockbuster, best of the best you'd come to expect from an Uncharted - really awesome game moments you're glad to have been a part of. All of the changes they've brought like branching storylines, customizable equipment and the Strike Force missions have been appreciated, and the narrative is actually really emotional. I give Treyarch a solid A for this one.
I've been thinking hopping back into Guild Wars 2 is long overdue, just have to motivate myself to do it...
borderlands 2 on ps3. feel free to join in!
My username is bandicootking, right now im in the badass crater of badassitude.
finished bioshock.
vgood
That's what I'm playing too. Not through PS3 though. Managed to get the four pack during the Steam Thanksgiving sale.
When I'm not playing Borderlands 2, I'm working on getting each of my toons through Riders of Rohan for Lord of the Rings Online. One down, four to go. :p
finished Twilight Princess, getting everything etc. and it took 8 days? what's wrong with me D: I guess I did take several days off, though, so it's not all that shameful
playing Castlevania: Circle of the Moon for the first time now. I like it so far so I'll probably play the other GBA CVs after this
Playing Pokémon Heart Gold again. Threads got me in the mood for it!
Heroes of Might and Magic III
Finished the first scenario of Dragon's Blood campaign, as usual the beginning is difficult as you do not know where to go, where do your enemies attack from etc.
But in the end I dominated ALL.
Next scenario looks promising so I am looking forward to it.
Platinum is easily the best. In my awesome opinion.
This will probably be my third attempt at trying to finish Platinum. I have never actually gotten halfway through yet. I am probably the worst at main storylining a pokemon game, I just get distracted with it and give up. I'm such a perfectionist with pokemon games and I get disheartened as my "Seen but not caught" count on my pokedex steadily goes up and up.
Doritos Crash Course! Because smurf you and your mainstream games, playing a computerized version of the classic tv show Wipeout is far superior to Skyrim.
Seriously though if you have a 360 and join us it's a mental funny evening.
after resolving to put down tactics ogre for a few days, I've now trained up to snuff the classes of dragoon, ninja, swordmaster, rogue, vartan, juggernaut, witch, cockatrice, griffn, and giant; I've recruited golem, necromancer, white knight, ranger, octopus, and flood dragon and they're almost there
also reading how to optimize my PC and then probably jumping into some more of that
Finally kicked the WoW bug again and now I'm playing absurd amounts of MORROWIND because I love that game to death. Also playing some Europa Universalis 3, and Yar's Revenge. The original. For Atari 2600.
saints row 3
is the funniest friggin thing
i just finished the
(SPOILER)bdsm club mission with the 'horse' chase
i don't remember the last time a video made me laugh out loud like that
Zimos is the best character. I wanted to take him on every mission for the rest of the game just for his hilarious voice.
I just started playing the Warband mod "Prophesy of Pendor", and I'm more excited about getting stuck into it than I have been about a game for ages. I highly recommend it to people who like challenging medieval fantasy games with excellent combat. :D
I'm playing 2 games at the moment, first up is:
Resonance of Fate, whilst not going to win any awards for the most amazing game ever this is a fairly enjoyable JRPG with traditional turn based combat (even if the turns work more like Star Ocean combat than anything else) I'm impressed by the level of customization of the characters (outfits, hair colour, eye colour all are editable due to the way the inventory system works) and the way weapons are levelled individually so having a person skilled in the use of handguns doesn't mean they're going to be god with a machine gun too. I find the meta game for "repairing" Bezel (the location of the game) to be at times infuriating (since it works on a tile placement game where you cannot break certain rules) but mostly a pretty novel way of doing things, still early days though if anything the old adage of "you must save regularly" is even more important since continuing when defeated in battle costs cash.
I'm also playing Minecraft 360 edition. Dan, Paul and myself had fun tonight exploring a map named after my glorious hair. Somehow it went from being what we thought would be a terrible realm to essentially the absolute motherlode! We basically decided we'd break the golden rule of minecraft and dig straight down to see what happens. Turns out what happens is me and Dan find ourselves a massively awesome cave system what has EVERYTHING in. Cue awesome team work to start excavating our new found riches.
Just got back into The Secret World again due to the new ARG that they've started.
Wipeout hd and 2048.
For some reason I've been playing quite a bit of Star Trek Online. I assume it's because I get to fly starships around.
Also playing quite a bit of Natural Selection 2 (highly recommended) and Uncharted 3 co-op with my sister and her fiancee.
Just Started and Finished the original Legend of Zelda since Skyward Sword keeps making me in the mood to play it. Took it down in just a few hours and I only cheated once cause Death Mountain dungeon is bulltrout. Now to try and finish Skyward Sword...
FIFA 13 mainly. Really need to get to the games with stories though. Have too many games waiting to be beaten :-/
DotA 2!
Installed Gunz: The Duel again. I have not played it for 4 years or more, so my skills are a bit rusty. Pretty nostalgic.
Fallout: New Vegas, decked out with mods I've seen recommended. I got kinda burned out on FO3 after a while but playing this takes me back to the feeling I got when I first started on it. The story and environment is great so far and I like how they changed some of the mechanics (iron sights are fun). Really looking forward to putting time into this.
Far Cry 3
pokemon platinum, about to finish it though ("finishing" a pokemon game to me just requires beating the main storyline & e4 & champ)
next for me: maybe pokemon heartgold or soulsilver or black or white, assuming my computer doesn't cry about trying to emulate and play at turbo speed (my computer is weak but manages D/P/Pt just fine). I'd lean more towards b/w cause while gen2 is my favorite gen and a 4th gen remake would be awesome i've also played g/s/c about a million times and it's not balanced as well as it could be so it gets a little stale
or i'll play a final fantasy game LOLZ (one of the NES ones maybe, though i really really need to play through V)
I bought a 3 month Playstation Plus membership so I got a new games for free (kinda). Recently I've completed Infamous 2 and the Borderlands 2 Captain Scarlett DLC (very underwhelmed by it sadly). Playing Crysis 2 as well, probably one of the most enjoyable FPS games I have ever played.
Started playing Skyborn. An old school looking RPG from this BigFish Games thing, seems like a steam-esque download service. The description referenced Led from Septerra Core, so I had to try this out. here's hoping its worth the two bucks!
I just started playing Soul Silver! I got the ROM from CoolRoms, and the emulator is DeSmuMe. On standard settings with no skips, it's a tiny bit choppy, but hasn't glitched. As I added frame skips, it started freezing at screen transitions (leaving buildings, wild fights etc.). However, turboing it up with the button works fine (mine is set to Space), and while it is, of course, more jumpy, it's not glitching at all. Very playable.
i was thinking to maybe get I Am Alive.
but i am not sure about the game
i love the realistic situation of it. the fact that perhaps it could actually happen.
but i am not sure if i like the typ of game it is :o
so if you have the game, please share your experience with me :3
p.s i cant seem to find that game anywhere in (online) shops?
I tried SoulSilver but then it froze in a battle (I think this is a not-unheard of issue) so rather than restarting or trying HG I was just like "screw it I've played gen2" and started playing Black instead. which seems to run better than d/p/pt even. o_O i guess my computer's not the load of ass i've been making it out to be
Playing a bit of this and a bit of that: GunZ, Aion, Heroes of Might and Magic III
started ac revelations last night
i do not like the defense game
After finishing Skyward Sword, I felt compelled to play Ocarina of Time again cause I found Skyward Sword to be somewhat underwhelming and I'm still debating which is the weaker 3D entry. OoT has not aged well at all and it may have my least favorite sets of dungeons in the franchise but I'm still having fun. I hope to finally start playing The Last Story before Christmas, and it may happen cause I've reached the Spirit Temple in OoT.
http://i.imgur.com/4DhXr.jpg comfort is important
Burnout 3 takedown
ATV offroad fury 2
(Both of these are simply amazing games, and while semi-old, have aged brilliantly)
ATV quad power racing (Hilarious game, not that good, but by god is it amusing... if this level of hilarity was intentional or not is beyond me)
Back on Prophesy of Pendor. Waiting for my truce with the Sarleons to end, so I can finally eradicate them. I've taken all their cities. I just have to nap the castles now, and then they shall be DESTROYED. :mwahaha:
Final Fantasy IV on my phone, just got the airship.
I got really into Planescape: Torment last night after realizing that I was just torturing myself by trying to play it with a trackpad. It's about a bajillion times better with a real mouse.
I mean I should have realized, but I was really committed to just playing it on my laptop.
Picked up a used copy of Hitman: Blood Money after strolling some forums and deciding between this and Absolution. It's actually a puzzle/stealth game. It's sneaky. I like it. :shifty:
But I still play Dark Souls too. Shh!
Hawken
On the phone: FF5 (GBA version)
On PC: FF7 (PS1 version). Doing a critical analysis of the game, taking notes step by step on whatever details catch my eyes. Enjoying the game more than any other FF so far, I think.
Kerbal Space Program. Still trying to get something into orbit, but none of my contraptions seem to work properly.
Also:
Dungeon Defenders
Guild Wars 2
LoL
Guild Wars 2!
Resident Evil 6
It's uhh...it's a thing. o__o
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood was amazing. Improved on the gameplay of AC2 in every way and added a bunch of new features that were actually really fun and not just there for the sake of new features. The story and breadth of the game was no where near AC2's level, but having your own team of assassin's to control causes you to forget about that.
Next up is Game of the Year candidate Mass Effect 3. I'm excited!
Psychonauts! Starting on FFI after I'm finished with it. Also throwing in FIFA '13 here and there still. :x
Finally started The Last Story, this game has some really intriguing game mechanics and design. The cast so far has been really likable and I love the party banter. The battle system is very different from what most people would expect from a JRPG but I like it even if it is a bit rough around the edges. The only complaints so far is that some of the standard NPC moving animations feel really robotic, I'm not sure if trying to animate teeth was a good choice, and the game feels very ambitious but hindered by lack of resources (either money or skill). Time will tell how it's all going to go down, but for the most part I like it. The plot so far feels like something out of a Suikoden game.
In the meantime, I am continuing my Zelda kick by playing A Link to the Past, which has been a blast, this game has aged beautifully and I enjoy that the dungeons are not the time sinks they would become in later entries.
On the PSP, I'm alternating from FFTactics WotL, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Both games are great but my own OCD tendencies burn me out between entries so I have to alternate to keep variety and interest going.
Just finished Sleeping Dogs and Portal (for what's got to be the 5th time). Now balancing between They Bleed Pixels and Fortune Summoners: Secret of the Elemental Stone. So far, I've enjoyed everything. Probably gonna try to balance those two with Scribblenauts Unlimited. Should be fun.
I've enjoyed playing Guild Wars 2. It's been enjoyable so far (nice combat system which reminds me of Seiken Densetsu 3 in a good way), and I love exploring the world (plus finding secrets!), randomly teaming up with people and having crazy adventures while also learning bits of lore along the way. :)
Just got Castlevania: Symphony of the Night from the Playstation store. Having a blast playing through one of the best games ever made. And when I have to surrender the TV, I travel to Skyrim on my PC. Also a pretty great game (would be fantastic if it weren't for the two billion bugs).
In no particular order:
Borderlands 2
Sim City 4
Dishonored
League of Legends
FireFall Beta
Far Cry 3 - so much Far Cry 3. x_x
Still going through New Vegas when I get the chance. The holidays sucked a lot of time from me.
Did I mention me and the GF have been playing Yoshi's Island? We're halfway through world 5. I think we're gonna play Rayman Origins together after that. She also started Gran Turismo 5 which is pretty sweet. She's big into racing so I think she's getting a lot out of it.
Started Chaos Rings on my phone. It's interesting. Not sure how great it's gonna turn out but it's promising so far. Dead Space mobile plays great but is a really dumb game. Like super stupid. I wish I could get the same controls on a game that doesn't suck (GTA would be awesome).
I did a first session of Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery and I love it.
Also played some coop of Saints Row The Third with a buddy and goddamn I love it. I wish the netcode wasn't so laggy. I wanna figure out how to improve it so we can actually do stuff in the city. Loved it, otherwise.
I'm on the biggest TES kick in the world right now and all I'm playing is Morrowind and Skyrim.
NEXT UP: Daggerfall, and modding the living daylights out of Oblivion and trying to play that
Mass Effect
Just got to Noveria, the game really took off after getting the spaceship. Before that it was quite boring to be honest.
Yeah you guys had better believe that I beat Morrowind so now I'm playing ARENA
Attachment 38797
Yessss get in
Currently playing Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition, Morrowind, Resident Evil 6, Drox Operative, and Baldur's Gate, with some of the usual strategy stuff (Darkest Hour and SMAC). Also got FFXIII-2 for Christmas and have enjoyed it so far, but decided to rinse through Resi first for console gubbins.
I recently played Daggerfall as well, the size of that game is just mind-boggling. I always start my Elder Scrolls experiences by choosing a direction, and just walk until I run into something. Well, after walking for like 15 minutes and seeing nothing but plains and trees, I decided to check my map. That's when I realized I had moved like a pixel away from where I started on the map. And then I realized that was just the province map, not the world map. After a while I ran into a temple or something with naked women locked in the back(that was a real wtf moment), and eventually I was lost to the ages in the abyss of a ridicolously sized dungeon.
Back on topic though, right now I'm playing FFXII IZJS, and also Persona 4: Golden(best JRPG within a decade) and Dissidia Duodecim, which I bought for my Vita a week ago(great fun). I'm technically playing Mass Effect 3 as well, but I haven't touched that in a month. Just got bored with it, I guess. Could've just called it Mass Effect 2.5.
finally found the time to play Ada's campaing @ resident evil 6...
it was quite revealing since i was a bit confused about her.
now im problably going to play all the campaigns again, but then with the other characters :D
Platinum'ed Far Cry 3 although I may still now and again play co-op with Danielle. Now have switched my focus to Batman: Arkham City, which Danielle got me for Christmas. :D Enjoying it so far, although perhaps not to the same extent as I did Asylum... yet.
I just found a copy of Monster Rancher 3 lying around my room. I had no idea I owned this game, and I am about to play the heck out of this game.
I have never actually played this iteration of Monster Rancher, but I remember being in love with Monster Rancher 2 for the ps1 as a kid. I'd always have my sister bring it home when she worked at Babbages (now Gamestop). The day they no longer had it was one of the saddest days of my life as a kid. I hope it is as fun as I remember it being, haha.
Dishonored
I'm extremely disappointed with it so far.
Oblivion gate and seriously thinking about putting this game behind me
Dragon's Dogma.
Right now? I'm sort of between Theathrythm Final Fantasy, Swapnoting with SoL, Faris and Proto, and Pokemon Platinum.
Well... apparently I lost 558 minutes of today to Borderlands 2 according to the Steam overlay.
Played Civ5 way too long today. :x Downloaded a map for it that's laid out like Tamriel and was having fun with that. :D
Is there such thing as a short Civ game?
True enough. XD
Morrowind interspersed with bouts of GTA. I'll be on Fallout soon, though. :D
Just finished Hitman: Blood Money, and loved every bit of it. I think I'll go back and try to finish it on pro difficulty.
I also loved the ending mission. Such epicness.
This is what I have been playing:

Number of people surprised: Zero
Usually she just rests for a few hours to progress the storyline.
pokerstars
FFVII
Hopefully for the last time. Don't even know why I'm playing it really.
100 hours over 14 days is only 7.1 hours per day. Easily enough time for sleep and work!
Maybe if you give up showers and bathroom breaks.
Just finished up The Last Story there this evening. Really really good. I might go back and play NG+, but since I've spent 30 hours on this one playthrough, and I have some finals next week, I could probably spend those 30 hours in a better way. And Calista is possibly my favourite princess (she may as well be) since Garnet.
Playing Anarchy Reigns.
So far pretty fun, though I think I need to knock down the difficulty. I'm not very experienced in Beat em' Ups, and Hard mode is kicking my ass. :p
AC REVELATIONS
i like altair in this one but i couldn't stand him in 1, so i never finished it
OH WELL
Finally got some reliable drivers for my 360 controller... so once I get settled in the new place I'll start playing some Ys: the oath in felghana on my pc.
Looks fun, I'm quite excited.
Finished The Last Story which was a much better game than I had been led to believe, the leading characters could have been written better but the world, story, and gameplay really rocked.
Now I want to try and finally beat the original Final Fantasy III so I'm going emulation baby! Getting ready to tackle the Sealed Cave and face the Djnn.
I'm trying to push my way through Oblivion because I want to beat it for the lore but I'm having a terrible time getting into it. Morrowind and Skyrim I can play for hours; Oblivion not so much. I'm going to keep trying, though, because I am stubborn.
My god, woman, it's not that bad. xD
I never said it was bad, I just said I'm having trouble getting into it :mymelbert: I dislike the character designs and general art direction and I dislike how you are shoved into the main quest before you can even begin to care about the world. It makes it difficult for me to really care about anything. I do like the combat mechanics, though.
I prefer the ability to create your own character to Morrowind's mandatory presets, and Skyrim's is less detailed (no blue Argonians :(), but the actual race designs are much better in both games. Although, I do find it hilarious that the Dunmer have rosy-red chubby cheeks. xD
Have you started the Thieves Guild and/or Dark Brotherhood questlines yet? They really are the highlights of the game. Also, Shivering Isles is where you'll find all of Morrowind's eccentric and magnificent scenery.
Mass Effect 2.
Best game I've played on my PS3.
Might finally begin Pokemon SoulSilver.
Taking a GW2 break until the February update comes out.
Been playing DoTA2 and Civ 5.
Juggling FIFA, Civ5 and FFII. I want to stab whoever designed FFII's leveling system. :|
I'm currently playing Black Sails. It's brilliant fun.
Been Playing XCom finally.
So far I've lost Agents Wolf Kanno, Ashley Pie, Mike Face, Dinosaur Mellisa (Mellisaur. :p), and Pike Bot. :(
Cl. Ultima "Colateral" Shadow is a beast. Only Max Rank guy. :p
Played Mass Effect, when I started, I had 8 hours play time, when I finished I had 18 hours... It was like watching a good TV series. My eyes need rest now...
Beat the Skyrim main quest and killed Alduin and no one in the game even cares :colbert:
I was expecting some big fanfare from the Jarl of Whiterun and he is just like "If you'll EXCUSE me I have a city to run."
:mymelbert:
I always wished they would be more impressed whenever I killed a dragon in front of them. I expected a "Holy trout, did you just punch a dragon to death?! Maybe Khajiit aren't all a bunch of thieving bastards, then...". But no. Nothing. "What is that?!", they proclaim, stupidly. It's a dragon, idiot. One that I just killed. Right in front of you. With my bare hands.
Just finished the main storyline of Batman: Arkham City and wow, did not expect that ending. Going to tie up a few loose ends in the coming days but beyond that, having to now decide what I play next is a very difficult thing. I really want to play Final Fantasy IX through to completion but I just can't get that into it like I have with other games - perhaps it's just PSP-syndrome, too much of it can dull a game down and it might be better if I play it on the PS3. I'm really keen on getting through the Myst series (with other EoFFers playing it at the same time so we can put our heads together at the harder points), but I also already have Ico unfinished and Dirge of Cerberus unopened for the PS2. Resistance 3 has been sitting around and I barely got into the early stages of that game with Danielle. I keep seeing things on my Facebook about Dwarf Fortress and I'm strating to get cravings for that, too... decisions, decisions. Oh, those first world problems. ;)
Of course, once Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is out, even in Beta, I know where all my time will end up. =x
After I had just killed a dragon (it was in that first village you reach in the game, I forget it's name), an NPC walked by the bones and said something like "People should be more careful about leaving things lying around for people to trip over." I burst out laughing.
That reminds me of my Mass Effect playthrough (SPOILER)which I am almost finished with where there was a cutscene about a Krogan asking a VI (Virtual Intelligence) for information.
[Mass Effect] Angry Krogan in Ferros. - YouTube It was more funny in-game though.
After finishing Mass Effect, I started the sequel. The controls are hard to get used to but the game itself seems better than the first one.
It also lags less than first one, maybe because I updated my video card drivers.
DMC: Devil May Cry. Well, installing it onto my PS3 as I type this...
Say what you want, I'm having fun so far and the dirty things I'd do to Dante would make you blush.
As opposed to a massive ponce? ;)
dotadota ^_^
ff9 first ever playthrough no spoilers pls (i'm near beginning of disc 2, just got to Treno)
Final Fantasy III on NES Emulator I have a thread and everything.
He does seem like a bit of a crackhead, but he's still smexy...I have a huge crush on him. :p
As for the game so far? Battles are fun. I have the basic weapons unlocked: Rebellion, Arbiter, Osiris, and Ebony & Ivory. Having fun killing things and unlocking skills. Plot wise? It is alright, nothing phenomenal. The writing isn't brilliant, sometimes weird moments, especially when she-demon makes a parallel between herself and the world (now that it is Mundus' bitch) and that he should do what he does to her...To keep it PG-13. So yeah, that was kinda weird.
Firefall, the Beta.
Good game, but still needs a lot of work. The Recon class (which should be my favorite), is currently really borked, and plays as more of a demolitions expert than the Sniper it's presented as.
The objectives are fun, community is great, and gameplay is solid.
Downsides: The game is extremely unstructured. Sandboxes are fun, but there isn't enough structure to this one to make things engaging. It's currently just an exp/cash grind, without much else driving it.
This game and world has a ton of potential, and I really want to see where it goes. If they can firm it up and build on it, it'll wind up awesome. If not... Well, it will still show what an MMO can do outside the box. I could easily see this being adapted into, say, Mass Effect Online to great success.
And apparently I have a few invites to give out, if anyone is interested (though invites go out in waves, so it might just give you invite priority over the open sign-ups, I'm not sure).
I give up trying to beat Oblivion. I keep trying to get into that game, I really do, and I keep failing miserably.
- Dunmer don't look like Dunmer
- bizarro character models in general
- uninteresting setting
- uninteresting plot
- DUNMER DON'T LOOK LIKE DUNMER
I'm going back to Morrowind and Skyrim. Mostly Morrowind. I also think I'm going to dive into a new RPG soon. Thinking either Deus Ex or Baldur's Gate 2.
Started up a playthrough of FF VII. Been a long time since I've played that one.
Just had 20 kills 4 deaths and 11 assists in my last DoTA round. Needless to say we killed em!
Seems there's quite a few of us doing this ^_^.
@Pike: Every time I tried to get into Oblivion some annoying minor, but game breaking, glitch (usually in the Planes of Oblivion) would ruin my save and I would have to start over. Most of these things were eventually fixable with patches and whatnot, but it was like Oblivion was telling me that it didn't want me to play it.
I'm surprised nobody on here's mentioned Devon Pudebeyue's Morrowind mod for Skyrim: MarrowrimYou didn't really fall for that, did you?
Well count one less, because FF VII has just been replaced with Lunar: Silver Star Story. ;P
Haha. I can't fault you for that choice though Neo, SSSC is a thoroughly fantastic game. It's probably getting close to time for me to dust that bad boy off too.
Resistance: Fall of Man
Probably the best FPS I've ever played behind the BioShock games.
Diablo 3 - made a silly build for my Wizard. Fun, fun, fun!
Wow, Lunar is a lot cheesier then I seem to remember. ;P
Currently getting deep into Mass Effect 3 and loving it, even if one of my quests bugged out on me and it featured one of my favorite characters too. I also bought Lego Lord of the Rings to play with my wife and it's really fun and has surprisingly good production value.
On the handheld front, I finally gave up on Persona P3P. Seriously, I don't know what the lot of you see in those games. The dungeon crawling is too repetitive and the social networking parts are too simplistic for me to get into. I can't even imagine how boring these games are on a console. So I dropped it like a bad habit and started up on Suikoden via PSN. Really only playing this to set up for Suikoden II down the road. Also, I'm pretty addicted to Theatrhythm Final Fantasy on my 3DS and just beat Phoenix Wright: Justice for All on regular DS. Wondering what I should play next on DS. Ghost Trick has caught my eye.
I started Fallout: New Vegas because why the heck not.
I'm not very far along in the game yet but I did make my character full on Russian. :}
I was playing Mass Effect for about week and I beat it this morning and started Mass Effect 2. I'm not sure how I feel about it. So far, the dialogue options are pretty good, but I'm not digging not having the equipment option in the pause menu any more. Also, the Achievements tab that keeps popping up every time I do something that will get me an achievement is frustrating.
Also, the turn of events at the beginning were very confusing and came out of no where.
