Paid of the last little bit of my debt today. I now have NO money at all, and won't until I start working again, but I'm happy, I'm relieved it's off so now I money I do happen to get is MINE and not to be paid onto debt. It's a nice feeling.
Still, we have to pay of Pheesh's debt too but that's coming along. The visa is coming along well and we should be ready to send it off in the next 6 weeks I think (hopefully) I'm just starting to see a little bit of light at the end of this tunnel.
Hung out with my best friend today for the first time after being holed up in a different part of town for the past 2 months as a nursing student. :lol:
My loyalty in the console war has switched back to Sony! ALL HAIL THE GLORIOUS WHITE PLAYSTATION! Unless the Xbox Two rules and in which case... but I'll worry about that in like five years.

Finally ordered one of my favorite manga series! Now it just needs to arrive in the mail. I read the first 3 I could find at my local library. I liked it so much I decided to buy the complete set of 9 online after waiting for a good price range.

He knew how much I was looking forward to having all day yesterday and today to myself with just me and my girls (Kitty & Penny) & being able to hang out downstairs for once.
They have drill this weekend, but our roommate's original unit got disbanded so he had to go up with my bf this weekend to see if they had room for him.
Our roommate came home wayyyyy before my bf did yesterday.. At like 2 p.m. .. My bf came home and saw how disappointed I was that I didn't get all that much time alone, so today, he asked their friend to hang out with our roommate today all day so that I could have my space.
That's like the best thing ever. Seriously.
Also, I discovered that we have a Youtube widget on FiOS. That owns.
Looking at that pic again the PS4 looks like a refrigerator.

This maybe odd, but I accomplished A LOT at work today and that really made me happy. :lol:
I just found out that the membership card I have with my local grocery chain (oklahoma only, sorry) allows you to just load coupons onto the card online. So I don't have to go in with a stack of coupons. I can just load it on my card and when I go in it will automatically apply them when I buy the items. PLUS they double coupons if you have the card. I'm super excited because food and stuff is expensive and now I can get stuff off when I make quick runs to the store. I normally would have to plan if I wanted to use coupons, which I'm bad about remembering them. Now I can just load them onto the card!
Getting calls from six recruiters this morning after uploading my CV last night made me pretty happy.
Last tax refund came in from the state and that coupled with federal tax refund means I'm swimming in da dough. Where should I venture to next? Ireland? Japan? England? Some place really warm? Disneyworld?

Got much needed sleep. Then I chilled and played some Windwaker for awhile. Not sure if I'll end up beating it this run, but it really relaxed me today.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer date-watching, a fantastic lunch of shepherd's pie, mushroom risotto cakes and chipotle whipped sweet potatoes, singing to Cold War Kids, and obtaining three different kinds of pies for Pi Day.
Naps now, then spicy tuna wraps for dinner with horrendously cheap wine and the pie pie pie pie pie! And before bed I will try to draw something I can't get out of my head and read a chapter or so from my book. Today was good.
Friends and I watched Spawn. Haven't seen it since I went to the theaters. It is a baffling movie, but it is so poorly made that it is hysterical.

Finally got a new wallet.. It's just a Fossil, but it's a really pretty bright tangerine color with a grey inside that allllmost matches my bag perfectly. And I got Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume and some clothes and makeup at Target.
Still need to go to Old Navy. I'm kind of hoping my bf's parents decide they want to stay in today. My phone is getting replaced so I don't have one atm and our tablet isn't on our phone plan so navigating the city will be a major PITA for me. And their phones don't work here in the US unless there's WiFi. Sooo yeah.
Our local cajun place closed :( But my local BBQ place is owned by the same people and it's in a better location. Luckily they just brought some of the cajun menu over there! So I was able to get some shrimp creole today and it was amazing!
Took the time to have a day to myself. Felt great to just be alone for awhile!

Bad: Had a crappy day and a crappy weekend (despite the good time I had with my girlfriend, we were both sick and whatever we tried to do had some kinks in it...not that kind of kink you perverts).
Good: I am feeling so physically bad that I decided to take off tonight. Like, I feel that I could work if I really focused hard enough and loaded myself up with non drowsy drugs, but I keep hacking up a lung uncontrollably every few moments no matter what I take. Gonna see if I can get to the doctor today or tomorrow. While there are some drawbacks to taking a day off, I feel far less stress than I did earlier, so I guess I needed the break from work mentally as well as physically.
Just found out Sufjan Steven's new album is being streamed on NPR right now. I've been really excited for it to come out, and it makes me happy that I can listen to it right now! Downside is that I've been having issues with NPR's media player, but I think I've got it to work now!
Went to the doctor. I have bronchitis! So that earned me another day off, which again, I think I really needed. Sucks it is under these circumstances, but I am feeling much better mentally.
Friends who leave me packages with Alkaline Trio skulls drawn on them containing antique pictures of old English chapels with a note congratulating me on my first apartment in Portland and a copy of Vice Magazine bookmarked at a horrific New York apartment hoarder story. Bizarre, but hilariously just what I needed to come home to.

I've noticed that people have been noticeably kind lately. Strangers, people I don't know. They're receptive or even willing to initiate polite social interactions. I always feel like the awkward nerd who chatters troutty small talk to other people while I'm in line checking out or whatever because silences make me uncomfortable and I panic. I notice that people smile at me a lot lately. I don't know if it's because I'm already smiling and I look approachable to exchange smiles with or if these people are just smilers themselves or maybe everyone here is just so incredibly polite and happy and they just all brighten each other's day by smiling at each other.
Either way, it's really nice; it's a nice difference to notice, and it makes me feel less awkward and anxious in public somehow. Maybe everyone here is just high and doesn't realize that they're smiling like lunatics and I'm Dorothy with no idea what's going on.
Despite how much I stressed about missing a couple of days of work (despite how good for me mentality it was), I was able to bounce back in the swing of things. Got a couple of pats on the back and everyone was understanding. Now, not to say everyone at my workplace is unsympathetic or jerks at all times, but it was still a very refreshing attitude to come back to. I think it is because after running on all cylinders for over half a year, we are now just coming down to a normal pace, so people are not on edge as they have been in recent times, but I'll still take it!
Took the day off from work because flu and watched Game of Thrones, Brave, Big Hero 6, and browsed the forum most of the day.

I actually cleaned today too. Not DEEP, deep cleaning, but far more effort than my usual maintenance. I put on some music and went to town! Very satisfying.
Had a pretty nice time at a video game music concert. Need more nerd things like that in my life.

I just got my tickets for the Sufjan Stevens concert next month! I'm so stoked for this as he is one of the artists I've most wanted to see play live. I believe Sigur Ros will be the last band on my bucket list that I hope to see someday.

Mam tells me she's had Magnum at the vets - and my first thought it "oh GOD more sad dog news" well...
Magnum was playing with Dolly (Mam's new puppy) yesterday and while they were playing, Dolly bit his balls :lol: well, apparently he jumped up into the air so high and was mortified - walking around with his arse tucked in :lol: :lol: the vet gave her some cream originally, but he wouldn't let her anyway near his back end - so she had to go and get a spray on solution, so she's just telling me about how she's spraying Magnum's tender balls/arse/leg area and I'm crying laughing imagining it. Ahahahaha :lol: :lol: :lol:

For the first time in awhile, it is a perfectly clear day out. No clouds. I walked outside and the sun gave me the D. Vitamin D, that is.
Started my day walking a few blocks to the coffee shop with my sister for a latte and the greatest cheese danish I've ever had the pleasure of tasting, spent most of the day Buffy-watching with Psychotic, got an armful of awesome books I've been wanting to read from free libraries, had a nice light lunch and walked back to the cafe to have banana cream pie for dinner while talking about our family, and now we are having cheap-yet-amazing red wine while we binge-watch Game of Thrones. And my puppy's leg is healing pretty okay! It was a good day. :jess:

First day of my last quarter of college. :)
I levelled up my piano skills. Like actual RPG style where all your stat increases come at once after an hour of tedious grinding. Yesterday I was just as mediocre at the piano as I have been for the last few months. Today, I had a better sense of rhythm, was reading notation faster, could instinctively hit a lot more correct notes and improvise in the correct key.
This must be how Cloud felt when he learned Cross Slash...
Since club Nintendo is about to go down tomorrow, I entered the codes for as many games as I possibly could and got three free games out of the deal. Also will be getting my Mewtwo Smash Bros. codes when they give those away. Better late than never on my part!
My wonderful Dad has upgraded danny and I to business class for our flight to Dubai on Friday evening. So thankful.
Also, when the baby moves-which he is doing all the time-I can see my tummy move too!! This is seriously cool and weird in equal measures!
The bronchitis I have REALLY cleared up in the last few hours. I had some nasty back pain, along with other areas in my upper torso that hurt badly because of how much I been coughing. Suddenly, most of it cleared up today and the pain I have is much more manageable.
I was pretty motivated and productive today
My bf's been home since this past Wednesday.
His foot's been messed up since just before his parents left. He thought it was gout, but with the pain going on for so long, I made him go to a walk-in clinic and get it looked at. The doctor there kind of decided that he has arthritis, but he has to get blood work done to determine what kind (which he's getting done tomorow).. He's been put on pretty much bed rest though. And while it kind of sucks having to wait on him hand and foot, it's been nice getting to hang out with him more.
I seriously don't get sick of him being around ever. I mean, yeah, I love me some alone time, but I love even more when my boo is home and we're just hanging out in our bedroom. He's home for the week. And the doctor gave him some good painkillers along with some other stuff... He gave me his painkillers 'cuz he's awesome.
We've mostly been laying in bed marathoning Power Rangers until 5 a.m. .. It's been awesome.
Though supposedly the weather will turn crappy again, it is a very nice day out in my area. Wait a minute...the weather is playing an April Fools joke on me!!
Since we got an iPad Mini 2, my little girl has been FaceTiming me every night.
It's so awesome.
Mr Beagle has gone to his new home. It's kind of bittersweet for me because I loved him, but I'm so overjoyed to see that he's been rehomed permanently! He's now living with an OAP who is planning on spoiling him rotten. It's made me happy to see he's gone to someone who needed him more than I did.
Technically today way early at work I busted my ass and made sure I caught up on a lot of work that I really needed to get to. That should make tonight easier, I hope.
Also, fell into a deep sleep. I didn't realize how bad I needed it until it actually happened. I think being sick just irritated my body where for over a week I never fell into the deepest possible sleep. I totally overslept, but I feel refreshed as if I got a regular 7 to 8 hour sleep.

Eating smoked salmon with quails eggs, Brie and Gouda with biscuits and some posh champagne at the Emirates Lounge of Manchester Airport. Will probably help myself to a few JD's as well while they are on offer.
Apparently our flight is delayed by 30 minutes... Oh well. Will just have to tough it out in this hellhole.
After a bit of a non gaming funk I was in, I broke it by playing Ninja Gaiden (Sigma version for PS3). That game is still as hard as I remembered it, but despite not playing it extensively since the original Xbox version, I was much better anyway. Basically playing a game with that much intensity really pulled me out of the place I was in, and now I feel back in the groove of things. I think part of it was just being so sick. But yeah, I feel good!
I saw a Christmas post and had to double take because I thought someone revived an old thread.

Went to an art festival today with Pheesh's aunt and we had coffee, street food, and talked about creepy stuff like ghosts and psychics and spirits and it was awesome.
Saturday: Had a nice quiet night by myself.
Sunday: Did something nice for the family on Easter and bought everyone dinner. Felt good to provide and be useful!
Today: Had a wonderful time with my friend very early "last" night!

Just got a nice message on my 'girl friend tinder' as I call it. A nice girl who has two cats and is obsessed with all things British wants to be my friend. Took a small break from my daily happiness things because I felt like I was the only one carrying the thread, and I felt like I was being really annoying. So to make up for that lost ground...
Summed up happiness of collective days: Despite being in a bad spot mentally recently, I did manage to kick ass at work and cover a lot of what I wanted to get done. I also had a major realization recently (see latest thread I made in The Lifestream) that really has helped me out and made me look at life more positively. Also, a lot of people have supported me and encouraged me in heartwarming ways in relation to that event, and I am very thankful because of that. Also, I am going to go to C2E2, which is a comic convention. I haven't gone to something like that since 2011, so I am excited to do something like that again even though I am more of an observer rather than a participant in situations like that.
Today: Went to parents house. Sometimes my dad will come home kind of moody for work related reasons. I usually stay quiet and let him work things out. Not today. I assaulted him with happiness and a positive attitude and I think it rubbed off on him a bit. Also spread a lot of positivity online today. Some people are apparently shocked and think something is wrong with me, which amuses me. I even had a friend ask if I was being sarcastic. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised since I was recently very toxic online because I a bad mental place a week or two ago, as mentioned in the last paragraph. Also, sort of in general. Not going to worry about it, though! I'm sure I'll eventually get in a bad mood, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there. I feel good, and I want others to be happy.
Been going to the gym and I'm starting to see physical improvement.

This girl I used to be super close friends with found me on Facebook... I've looked for her numerous times over the years but never did. And she found me and I'm just so happy. We used to have SO much fun together.
This has made my entire week.
I am having bizarre mood swings which include despair, physically painful stress, inability to focus, exhaustion, and a kind of giddiness. So...while I'm on the upswing:
-Yesterday I went to a restaurant to get some takeaways for Spuuky and I, and after talking to the owner for a bit about her business, she wrote me a gift certificate which exceeded the amount we had spent that evening! :jess:
-Today I got to work up one position, so effectively I doubled my pay for the day while doing less work :ohdear:
-A friend of mine invited me to dinner tomorrow, and it's just so nice to have someone actually do something and not resort to "let's hang out SOON"; when I just don't have the time or energy to think more than a few hours ahead at a time and have been cancelling most of my plans lately. :p
Relieved that the moving process will soon be over.
Got to spend time with my cousin today. It's been almost three years since I've had the chance to do that. We used to see eachother almost everyday back then but things happened, family fell out and we kind of lost touch.
Spoke with my friend today on the phone for like an hour and a half.
Looks like we're going to Florida for a few days this Summer!
My Summer is set up to be mega smurfing awesome... Gonna have my kiddo for a month, bf & roommate are going to Wisconsin for 2 weeks, and then my bf & I are going to Florida!

It made me happy. I've been working my butt off and not seeing too much of a result cause this stuff takes time and i'm impatient. But someone noticed how hard i've been working. It was such a lovely boost of confidence :D

I have no attachment to my hometown at all. And I'm always like "I don't have friends" and I'm fine with that notion.
But... There actually are people who are practically begging me to go visit them. Not just people.. My very first best friend that I love dearly and another friend that I love very much and hadn't been in contact with in ages.
It's just incredible that there are people that care so much about me that they're willing to drive 3 hours to Nashville from our hometown to pick me up from the airport so that I can hang with them for however long in our hometown. And then drive me back.
I'm so lucky to have these wonderful women in my life. And aside from them- I'm very thankful to have the friends that I have.
