When riding a chocobo (and I'm assuming an airship) the buildings on the landscape "pop-up". I'm curious what Kefka's Tower and the Tower of Fanatics in the WoR will look like.

I'm happy to report that Edgar didn't lose his hockey mask.
I'm also happy to report that FFVI mobile does have an "auto" option in battle, much like FFIV mobile. Press the double arrow button at the top left corner of the battle screen and all of the characters will repeat their last battle action. Makes for a much more enjoyable battle experience.

Would be nice to see what all the espers look like in the remake. Some of these screenshots look better than expected. I still don't like the character sprites though.

The effects look really cool in this. I guess there are advantages to a bigger screen with more advanced technology.

Mostly everything looks OK except the characters themselves. The enemies look good with those dark heavy outlines and shadows. The portraits and battle backgrounds are awesome. It makes the character sprites look even more terrible by comparison.

I've been following this thread and I'm kinda starting to get used to the look. Still don't think I'd ever buy it with how readily available emulators are.

Those heavier outlines really help give the enemies and other things a crispness and readability that those character sprites lack. It's like most of the art is just really nice, crisp looking versions of the already stellar art from the original game. And then they hired some guy who'd never seen outlines, shadows, or depth before to do the characters. They clash so much.

The more screenshots I see, the more it makes me wish they made the characters the same way the enemies and summons are drawn.

And I guess when you think about it, it is an iOS game. So I guess cheapness is.. okay.

Except it's andriod (semantics) and it's $16 so not exactly cheap for a mobile game :monster:

I looked at preview shots on my phone and its not absolutely horrible on a small screen. The bluring is only just barely noticeable

Gonna have to disagree with you there. Still looks horrendous on my phone.
