OMG!! FF7 SEQUEL CONFIRMED!!

It was pretty much all the FMVs thrown together with some extra footage. Wasn't that great, you didn't miss much.

Not that I have any figures to prove it, but surely FF7 was far more popular than FFX. It shook the world!

Therefore I'd say there's every chance of an English version even if the FFX video didn't have one. Especially if we all yell loud enough at SquareEnix :)

Oh yeah, it was much better. But the chances of it coming out in America (seeing as how both of Square's CG movies blew) are slim.

I wouldn't be so sure. Lots of obscure anime makes it into specialist stores outside Japan, even down here in New Zealand. An FFVII movie is a much more "mainstream" idea, so its release might be inevitable. The FFX DVD, on the other hand, sounds like it was just a gimmicky recording of the in-game FMVs with a little bit of extra stuff tacked on, not something that'd be a huge success anyway.

That's true, and besides, it was only a recap of the game. This is gonna be a 'sequel' and I'm quite sure how it's gonna work.

I'm gonna buy it even if it's in Japanesse. I know what their saying. But I'm still not completely fluent.

There is going to be a movie and a game. The game will feature the return of Cloud, Sephiroth, and Aerith.

Well, even if the characters might be slaughtered personality wise, I have to admit I'm excited about it as well.

As far as my opinion goes if the movie comes here or not, I think it will. Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within did. So, I believe that if Square-Enix has even an ounce of brain they would sell it internationally. I mean, hey - since they're mass-producing these games like some kind of industrial product instead of a well-thought out art, why not go for the big bucks and sell it across the globe? It'd get them the cash they want so badly, even if it does poorly.

And my wonders on this movie: is Aerith coming back? Someone said that she was, but I haven't seen any place that clarified she was coming back. It would be AWESOME to see her hair realistically, so I could at least attempt it a bit. Someone also mentioned the Asian look - I guess they have it because of their Asian movement actors (don't know the term on the top of my head). The skinny arms DO somehow defy the laws of physics, but then again they allow magic in the world. So, scientifically speaking here, if it allows something like magic then it probably would have a different kind of gravity law on that planet than ours.

And they DO have a distinctive Asian look to them. Then again, ever since FFX they seemed to have an Asian look to all of them. I hope they do NOT give a Japanese looking Barrett. Good god, that's a frightening (though amusing) thought. A Japanese looking Mr. T. I do hope that Cid and Barrett do return, noting that they were the comedy reliefs in the game. I also hope they have really funny moments like they did in the game, too. Like the cross dressing, for example. That would be hysterical. And even if they don't, I've had my fill - I saw what Sephiroth would look like realistically, so now I can go searching for my dream man finally. :love:

Funny thing is it seems like Cloud is the only survivor of the day Meteor almost fell.

Is it just me, or does Sephiroth look rediculous in that picture which is the Nibelheim flashback I guess. He just looks so bad, not like I would have imagined a realistic sephiroth looking. He looks so girly, and he doesnt have the green eyes, and the hair is wrong. O well, Im still pretty excited about it. I just started a new game on FF7 too, still as fun as ever. I would still like a remake or something, I just feel like I nee something more...more than the game itself.

since the hidden camera sample of the movie has been taken off from here is there another source for it or is there another one. I got it already and drooled all over my carpet and walls but a good friend of mine wants and i can't send it in email.
If there is another source for it, please tell me.
Of course if there another one i'd like to see that too.

The fact that he doesn't have green eyes is like putting a typo in someone's name for an entire movie. Like call Cloud Clout, or something. You can't not have the green eyes!

He still look pretty cool, though, imho. I like it. I don't think the large green eyes would have been realistically possible. That's anime, not reality. But that's why I don't like the Japanese-ness of it all - it's really annoying how they have massive eyes and no other noticeable characteristics on their faces in the game, so your mind thinks of them like that - and then they put in Japanese characters and the faces look all weird. I know they're targeting the Japanese market before anything else, but it's still kind of annoying how they flip from one extreme to the other.

From what I hear, someone had the full 2 minute+ trailer, and uploaded it. I saw that on the Gamefaqs.com FFVII messaggeboard, but when I tried the site it said the users account had been banned.
The guy fighting Cloud isn't Sephiorth though, as we can guess. Some have said Rufus, while others have suggestes that the man Cloud is fighting is actually Jenvoa, seeing how she can take the form of whatever she wants. From what they understand, the guy has some relation to Sephiroth, hence the sword, same hair colour, and One Winged Angel playing the background.

If anyone gets any news on new trailers then let us know straight away, rumour has it that Square will release the trailer to the public soon in its proper quality. I think the only one available still is the 5mb 20 second one, which I have saved by the way, if anyone wants it, not sure how I'd get it to ya though.
