My comments on his election is... why? For more years of the same and for what? Do the children of this generation really deserve to foot the bill?

Sadly, that's been the lost problem of every power: they never really consider the future. Hopefully, when we get to be the generation in power we can change that, but it'll be an uphill struggle.
