Yes, it’s the Best Regular award. It’s the kind of people who are always just there. They post in General Chat, they post in The Lounge. Regardless, these are the people who are a standout feature of the community. Through their actions, reactions and…being there-ness, they embody the true meaning of the word “loitering”. So to whom should this dubiously prestigious award go to? Cim raises questions about the pronunciation of their username. Much like great Jif war of 1998 that resulted in the changing of the product to “Cif”, surely by existing Cim will instigate civil war? Actually, probably not, but best keep our eyes out. I Took the Red Pill immortalizes the line of a treacherous scumbag who uses steak to claim that ignorance is bliss with each post. They also shove a great big flag that just plain smacks of “Behold what I have created in letter form!”. Jessweeee expresses obvious joy at just being alive, with an added “weee!” on their username most likely caused as they registered whilst on a slide. Surely this happy-go-lucky attitude is more than enough to establish them as a top contender? NeoCracker brings biscuits firmly into the generic-anime naming future with aplomb, and probably a whole bunch of notable posts to boot. Will this person turn out to be a cracker? Roto13 shows us all that you needn’t avoid numbers to be cool. Some of us may run around with our alphabetic names feeling superior, but this person has taken the plunge, gone right into the hearts of the community, and stuck there. Rocket Edge has the skies set in their eyes, with that special kind of fuel-injected edginess cutting through the night air. A shooting star to be sure, but do they have a wish? Sergeant Hartman gives this group a much-needed sense of military discipline. Drop and give them a thousand push-ups, or maybe a thousand votes? Finally The Fonz, whose jukebox moments and cool hair combing obviously sent your hearts fluttering. Is this going to be a happy day for this cool customer?

Of course those who walk away from this category empty handed will have a hollow sense about themselves. Their hard-earned popularity will be for naught as the masses vote in favour of one of these regulars over the others. But they can take solace in the fact that what they have lost in the real world they have gained in spades in Usernotes and inside-jokes-that-no-one-understands. For the winner however, they represent the pinnacle of pure forum presence. Anyone can be a bystander, but it takes a special kind of person to really stand out from the crowd. It may be the inimitable Black Mage 121, also known as the mighty Cz. George is a lovely lad, been hanging around EoFF for a while now and will also have the backing of the filthy Arsenal army in his attempt to go for glory. Or maybe the epitome of an EoFF Veteran, Dr Unne, will be taking the title home. Although he hasn't been around much of late, his legacy is well known. edczxcvbnm also has an equally well known legacy, but the two are almost polar opposites. No one who saw it will ever forget the eye-raping they received at the hands of his technicolour forum skin. What Jebus lacks in years spent at EoFF compared to some of his fellow nominees, he makes up for by simply just exuding a sense of 'old'. Seriously, just talk to him in #eoff for 10 minutes.

Meat Puppet has been knocking around the scene for a while now, maybe longer than some people might realise. He is the leading pioneer in the strange phenomenon known as 'usernotes'. Ouch! might consider taking up a career in spying/being a ninja, because I had no idea he'd been around as long as he has (although that's probably more a sign of my old age than a reflection on him). pureghetto seems to me like he's been the token crazy azn guy on EoFF for longer than I can remember back, and it takes effort to be that crazy azn guy for a long time. Rounding us out is Renmiri, who has been around for years but most known to me as the Queen of the FFXII forum, so she's obviously not showing any signs of slowing down just yet.

Obviously with this category we have eight candidates who are truly worthy of recognition, for they have already been recognized by our esteemed forums staff for outstanding achievements in the field of excellence. But, in Eyes on Final Fantasy's only fit of democracy which occurs once every six months, the Ciddies, it is up to the people, not a divinely appointed oligarchy, to decide which of these already recognized individuals is the best. Among the candidates this year we have six former Forums Staff and two former/current/whenever they damn well feel like it Site Staff members. Some of these nominees are gone from our lives but still in our hearts (I'm looking at you RSL and Xander and Big D), some are still around and probably will be forever (think Agent Proto, Giga Guess, theundeadhero), and some were gone for a while but then came back to torment grace us with their presence some more (Raistywaisty, Chemmybuns). Will RSL win from his immense popularity and subsequent disappearance? Big D or Xander, by the fact that they are just really really nice people? theundeadhero or Giga Guess, by virtue of their high activity? Or perhaps the active extreme oldbies will win out by reputation. At this point, very few people know, but it will now be revealed to all.

Azar, the news guy with eyebrows. While not new, I see him posting news. He seems to know his stuff. His “scources”. He knows how to dig information out of the unwilling, the unresponsive. He stands and some height and weighs some amount of pounds, but he hits much harder. It is not the size of the fight in the dog, it’s the size of his freakin shnowzer that lets him pick up the smell of a story light-years away. He is the ultimate reporter, he is AZAR!

Baloki’s hard work has made the internet a happy place. Why? Simple, she codes, and she is a girl. That is hawt. The ‘warrior princess’ as she is known, knows stuff. I mean like stuff that will blow your mind and leave little nuggets of caramel looking brain sauce all over the floor. Devoting her time to killing and grilling through the site, she has the courage to change the interwebs.

DK, the other news guy dressed kind of suggestively, but more pretentiously once you get to know him,, is another valuable site staffer that works the staff like no other man can. With suggestive avatars, provoking leather wear, and whips that would make Halle Barrie scream for mercy, he whips through the news stories like no other member of the village people could. He wows us all with eyes on you, and countless hours of devotion to the staff. An amazing man is he, DK. (There was no innuendo used in the making of this paragraph)

Eternalshiva, the art bitch. I call her that out of nothing but respect. I mean look around the site at all the images. It is clear that no other could possibly tool out the resouces needed to make everything look the way it should, a place deserving for members like me to plague their miserable free time. So they pawn the graphics on her, and she pawns the graphics. A truly amazing artist, and a true eoffer through and through. She will destroy any pastel colored space on this site, one pixel at a time.

Ah, Flying Mullet, the ass-man. This man has a fine ass. It is the bubble that gets him in trouble, and the ham in the fridge. I mean, his ass is golden. It is quite amazing, like two fat Buddha angels crashed into each other and made two golden mounds of ultra assiness with a sweet hairline crevice … ugh – got crushed my banana. Anyways, he is part monkey, part man, but all ass. He is also a coder for the front site. Php what? Mysql what? CSS what? That’s right, that’s him.

Spatvark still exists, and still kicks ass, except for unded, who has with stood the last umbillion assassination attempts. Despite his humiliating falure to rid the world of the undead hero, spatvark’s name is very hard to spell, I mean, I always want to call him spartvark. Known for his speed, fastness, quickness, and mobility this man is fast. So freakin fast he freaking made this place faster than fast. Faster than your sub at Jimmy John’s fast. That’s fast.

He hasn't done anything besides yell at me for posting .doc documents. I had assumed that shiva wanted the first one in .doc for the layout, and the others in .txt, but she never got back to me, so I did them in .doc.

Webmaster isn't a great way to convince the staff you're involved, but he doesn't make it hard on the SS either. Heck, he pretty much gives us free reign to do whatever it is we got to do. He even let's BoB boss us around.

Spatvark Spatvark has probably coded more pages than anybody in the history of the SS. The thing about that is he's been around forever so it's okay. When he's not busy keeping the masses happy he's busy making fun of us in our forum. Then one day he decided to leave. Again. Never to be heard from again. Again. Will the rest of the SS view his leaving in a fury as a guiding light and inspiration, or will we just continue to be an unchained slave to our love?

Azar Hi! Ho! Azar the frog here reporting with the Eyes On News. Azar is our most productive news reporter. He does one good job of it too. I don't know about you guys, but I'm always happy when I see a new news report on the front site. I guess I'm just a big nerd caring about Final Fantasy news like that. Anyway, for a while Azar was doing too good of a job with the news. We forced him to take a vacation for a month in order to slow him down. Now he's back.

DK Over here in SS land we like to call DK Gigglestick. I'll leave it up to you to figure out if it's because he's always laughing at us or if it's because we're always laughing at him. Kyono(DK) is our other news reporter. He reports the news. That's what he does. Why does he do it? I don't know. Why would anyone volunteer for this political massacre? All I know is that for being on the SS news team, Kyono(DK) is living the dream!

Baloki Baloki doesn't know what he wants. I'm on the team! I'm off the team! I'm going to pretend I'm on the team but really not be! What in the world is going on here?! Well, it confuses us and it confuses you, so he must be doing something right. Baloki and Sepho were the two who wrote the code and templates to make the frontsite look the way it does, so that has to say something.

theundeadhero I don't have a chance in hell! I don't wear my Site Staff title so the members don't even know I'm on the team. A couple months back I coded something like six pages for the Final Fantasy XII section and that's just going to prove too much for the other SS to handle. Maybe next month I'll code six more pages out of spite!

Flying Mullet Flying Mullet is a true master of the Site Staff political agenda. With quotes like, "I'll do it later", and "Blame Loony BoB!" he's got this game down. He was a huge help with the site redesign and has always been on hand to fix something up real quick or hand out advice. With all that in mind all I can say is that I'm really hungry right now and I wish I had a sammich.

eternalshiva If there's one thing that makes me upset, it's when you members spell my name with capital letters or put spaces in it. That's why when I wrote eternalshiva's name just now I made sure I did it right! I'll be sure to spell it right all through this speech. eternalshiva is our graphics design lady. When we need a picture made, resized, suggested, or just about anything else she'll get it done. This makes us happy. This makes the members happy because they like to look at images. Everybody is happy. For this we salute you, eternalshiva.
