No they haven't? They've definitely been blaming the torrents they downloaded.

Because he's a medieval Terminator. You don't smurf with Stannis and get away with it. Plus he's got Davos. Plus other reasons I can't get into without fannying about with spoiler tags. But allow me to post what Varys said about him
"There is no creature on earth half so terrifying as a truly just man"
That's Why
We need details.
Copious details.
You and I disagree on a lot of things my good man, but on this, we agree. Stannis is smurfing amazing and if you don't like him, you don't understand the show/book. Get out of the thread. :colbert:
They will bend the knee or I will destroy them.
Fan-smurfing-tastic. He doesn't give a smurf about the Game. The Iron Throne is his by right and smurf anyone that gets in the way of that. He won't negotiate, or plot, or stab you in the back. He will stab you in the front, repeatedly. No retreat, no surrender. Stannis is a hero.
Here to add to the Stannis love in face of the dumb-dumb Stannis hate.
Paul said it best. Stannis is a brilliant character because not only does he not play the Game, but he hates the game and actively pursues its destruction. He's pretty much the only character with utterly gigantic testicles.
Just...I wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy, so there.
Stannis is a great character and he gets better, and soon. Although, even in the books his storyline is one of the most frustrating for the way it drags/lacks focus. I love the way he's being portrayed in the show though. And Melisandre is a perfect fire witch, cause she's hot.
I'm with others who are ready for Arya to move along into the rest of her story.
Maybe in the book he's different, but in the show he seems kind of crazy to me and is totally under the red woman's spell. I mean, if he was actually like how you say it would be better but Melisandre hurts his character by making him too reliant on her and unable to see reason from his own people. By using her, isn't he essentially playing the game he hates so much?
Stannis is not my favourite character, but he is quite badass and adds some well-needed nuance to the power struggles of Westeros.
After the battle of Blackwater, all he has done since is mope around in Dragonstone feeling sorry for himself, while the Melisandre whispers sweet words into his ear. He sends Ser Davos to the dungeons despite him being his most loyal servant, and in Episode 3 he begs Melisandre to stay on Dragonstone when she proactively decides to go get some king's blood for some spell she wants to conjure.
So far, Stannis is just moping around on Dragonstone. Hope he gets some 'fire' back in him soon! In principle, I should like him. I want to like him. Don't dissapoint me!
I do like Davos more than Stannis though because geordie.
DAVOS!!!!! He makes Stannis's storyline watchable at the moment.
