If both of Edward's parents are dead... how is he a prince and not king?

He hasn't been coronated yet, besides, you could ask the same of Edge.

Yup yup, Edward is a wuss, thus never becoming a king.

He needs to grow a beard. Beards are directly proportionate to kickassery in the FFIV universe.

Scraggly chin pubes are all Edward can probably pull off.

You need a kingdom to be a king. If I recall, his kingdom was shot to hell by the Red Wings.

I guess he can be the King of Wusses and rule from his throne of rubble.
