How do you pronounce "Nanaki?" - Final Fantasy VII Message Board for PlayStation - GameFAQs
nuh nah keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
That's the same way I pronounce it; you just spelled yours differently.
Me to Rob: "Oh, you and Sarah pronounce it the same way."
Rob to me: "Wait, does this mean I'm wrong?"
We'll have to wait to see how BoB pronounces it to find that out.
It's Nah-nah-key kids. Say it right or don't say it at all. :colbert:
Yep, Vivi got it.
Katakana: Na-na-ki. Nuhnuh-key. People also say Saiyenn to Cyan even though he is pronounced Kaiyenn (Cayenne) since he is called Ka-i-e-n.
EDIT: There is a differece between non-canon mistranslations (Aeris, Reina, Salsa, Reverse - Bizarro - Sephiroth, Safer Sephiroth, Fourth Bracelet, Atma Weapon, et cetera) and canon alternate country versions (Terra, Artemisia, Zack, et cetera). Everyone can say Aeris if they want. Even I call Tidus "Tieduhs" just because I think it sounds better and I say Reina instead of Lenna and Salsa instead of Sarisa. But that does not make them officially right.
I think part of it is that I was 8 the first time I played the game. I call my grandma Nana...the name has stuck for me.
