Yeah I don't know why this is an issue. No one in their right mind would care enough to be against it.

If you add something like that, it should at least be able to list journals other than LJs. Some people have blogs, or other LJ-type non-real-LJ services. It'd have to be another field where you type in a URL. That would be fair wouldn't it?

Unne has a point. If people really want an LJ link, the sig would be a nice place to stick it :p

Besides, if you do start going around adding random fields, it'll mess up the nice alternating colours on the profile page much like you see at the GamingForce forums (well, last time I checked) :p

Phhhbt, we added the MSN handle and it didn't mess up the alternating colours. And MSN is a crappy colour.

But to go along with the point of blogs etc, well, they can throw in their blog link if they're that desperate. Or else just make it Online Diary Link: or something, but I think LJ has the vast majority of 'em.

Oh and I'm pretty sure more regulars here have LJ than ICQ >=O
