Originally I'd objected to our application, since I thought we had no chance of winning and that the millions spent on the campaign would go to waste. Now that we've won I'm pleased, since that money wasn't spent in vain, and the Olympics are set to double hosue prices in my area. ;)
It's an all round good thing for the UK, especially the South East and London.
