There are already double-sided DVDs.
exactly, thtz why they should be like that in video games
Why?
bcuz if one side is messed up and unsuable, u can use the other side :)
PSW did 2 sided discs at one point....
Or you could take care of your disks!Quote:

I could see the use of a two-sided disc for video games if the hardware could read and process both sides simultaneously, that would be a plus. But, if you just had a two-sided disc, then the only advantage would be when you needed to change sides you could just flip the disc instead of putting that disc up and getting a new one from somewhere.
Less packaging I suppose, though nothing short of Myst games usually go over the space on your standard DVD.
Thats cause myst is bloatware crap.
Anywas, two sided CD's would be nice, but so were cartrages.
bottom line, $$$$$$$$$. Two one normal CD's are just cheaper, people just got smart in the earlier conception of the DVD standards, and created dual layer DVDs. Like any technolgy, non standard setups get too confusing and more expensive to work with.
Bipper
so its cheaper if its 2 sideed
I believe he's saying, its cheaper to get two one sided disks than it is to get 1 double sided disk
*nods* you bet.Quote:
