Hey, check out this wikipedia article. It's written in the language of Lowland Scots, which they say is mutually intelligible to English. Um, no I'm not spamming! There's a reason I'm posting in FFIX, b/c when you start reading you'll be like, "Hmm, this looks very familiar."
