What Did You Play First ?

The FFXII demo, or DQVIII
I played the FFXII demo first :D

the demo because i hate dragon quest/warrior and i always will

the Demo. And I was not impressed with the battle system.

I decided not to disrespect the people who made the game and play DQVIII first. I also bought DQVIII for DQ after having played the demo, so the FFXII demo was just a very nice bonus feature.

I played DQVIII first and did not play the demo until some three weeks later.

I didn't wait that long intentionally, it just took that long for me to have time to play it between classes and DQVIII.

because i knew i'd never pick it up again, the ffxii demo. And then for a while, I couldn't put down DQVIII. Now it's in that classic DQ spot where for a while you've been going easy and great and then you come to that point where all of a sudden it gets hard and I was like YES! and then quit for a while. I'll go back to it shortly.

I played FFXII first, haven't played it since.

i played the demo first bc it's a demo and over fast and i wanted to get it over with to concentrate on DQ...enjoyed the demo, seemed very familiar, like i said in another thread ffxii = ffxi + fft +ffx
enjoying dq very much now

I played DQ first why?! Because I'm asian.

And as far as the battle system with FFXII, it's probably one of the ebst battle systems known in games. Lack of random battles is so much enjoyable.

Played DQ first because I couldn't wait to get started.

Also, the demo of FFXII was atrocious.

The Demo. In fact I don't think I've ever been as excited about a demo as I was with the FFXII demo. I love Dragon Quest too though.

Not like when Unlimited Saga was released in the UK with an FFX demo. I bought the game, played the demo, played the game, the game sucked, I took it back. Not gonna happen with Dragon Quest VIII. Brilliant game.

I played the XII demo first. The battle system was a little hard to get used to at first but after awhile I rather enjoyed. While DQVIII is a good rpg, imo it lacks when compared to my fav. final fantasies (VI through X-2). I just prefer the faster paced battle systems in the FF games to the slower paced DQVIII. Still a decent game though.

...Final Fantasy XII demo. and, i'm going to set up camp early for my copy b/c i do know that every new Final Fantasy game is one to rush and fight for.

Does playing the DQVIII demo first count?

Of the stuff that came with DQVIII, I played the FFXII demo first because it was short.
