Artificial Light
I find that during the day I'd much rather open a window wide than turn on a light and keep the blinds closed. I find natural light much less stressful on the eyes and even looks better (Artificial light looks so...yellow to me) to light up my room.
So, do prefer natural or artificial light to light up a room?

Natural light is the best light in the world.
Artificial light is just blah.

natural light is nice in photos.. but photoshop is good too xD

To avoid yellow artificial light that one gets from most normal bulbs, buy some clear ones. They cast a "white" light, which basically just means they're free of the normal tint associated with light bulbs.
I only use artificial light when natural light is not enough, so at night or when working on projects where I want no ambiguity as to what I am looking at or doing.

I love candle-light. <3 It dances!

They have bulbs now which emit light comparable to what we get from the Sun. We never have to leave our basements now!

Naturall light is more healthy. The lights above my head in the fixture make me over heat and gives me a head ache.

Natural light...although I do like candles. The only sort of artificial light that I don't like is what was mentioned - that yellow, or orangey stuff from bulbs. It makes me feel hot and icky I hate it. Feels stuffy.

Natural light *hiss* Well, when it's cloudy out it's the perfect amount of light.

i prefer natural light but i usually turn off the lights and close the curtains (im not sure why. im a bit vampiric in a few ways and it just feels right to me.) this way im not using any electricity, unless im reading in that case id use a small lamp (if its at night.). another reason i prefer natural light is because it doesnt seem to hurt your eyes unless its really sunny. lightbulbs can be a bit blinding at times. natural light all the way!

As most do, I prefer natural light. Not only that, but being able to feel a breeze as it flows softly through your room is a lovely bonus to having a window open if you have to be within the confines of a room.

Artificial light is nice in winter or at night :p but sunlight and moonlight and starlight and fireflylight are beautiful.
Fluorescent bulbs are cheaper to maintain because less of the electricity they use goes to heat, however they're a bit more expensive to buy (but they last a while, so~) They're very very very bright though. I've had to learn to not look directly at our ceiling fan when the lights are on because it will blind you xD However, in winter, we switch back to a bunch of incandescent bulbs to save on heatingxD
