Mine is definetly Sorrow from FFXI.
The ending theme of FF6. Sweetness!
Agree'd.
Also, I never really noticed until LAST NIGHT listening to the More Friends Concert, and the entire opera from FFVI going from Overture to when fighting Ultros (in the concert it jumps the fight of Ultros 'cause it's obviously just a concert) is prolly his best composition in the idea of how things are composed. Musically wise (just listening to them) things may differ, but the song is composed as an actual operatic overture would and I never really noticed that.
Oh, it's hard to say. But I really enjoy Within the Giant, Aria de Mezzo Caraterre, and Searching for Friends.
Red Wings.
That one song from FFIX. You are not alone...or something like that.
I'll go with Melodies of Life. That just rocks.
Also Rose of May, Beatrix's theme.
Aria Di Mezzo Carattere, Dancing Mad, Epitaph, The Rebel Army(FFII), Freya's Theme, Prelude, and Final Fantasy Theme (especially the version played after Melodies of Life)
You cannot just simply list a few favourites! It's nigh impossible, at least for me. I like and love way too many compositions.
"To Zanarkand," no contest. I could listen to it over and over; there is so much emotion in it...sorrow, longing, but a tiny bit of hope...it fits FFX so well. And all that on one piano! Definitely Uematsu's masterpiece.
As I Feel, You Feel from FFV.
Dancing Mad from FF6 is excellent. As is Forever Rachel from FF6.
Melodies of Life and You're not Alone the orchestral version and the game version.
