i was looking back at an old calender my class had to make in primary school, it shows what we all wanted to be when we were older, i wanted to be a vet, i just loved animals :)
So how about you, do you remember what you wanted to be when you were little?

I've wanted to be a writer for at least 8 years. At first I had aspirations of being a novelist, but after a few years I realized I simply don't have the creativity to crank out novel after novel, and making a living as a fiction author is not easy, either. I've wanted to be a journalist for about five years, I guess. I imagine, when I was younger, that I had dreams of being an astronaut or a firefighter or some other "cool" job all the kids are into.
I think a vet is common for little kids, I wanted to be a vet too :p

As a pre-teen, I either wanted to be a professional footballer, or an author. I'm happy to say that I've matured substantially since then, and now dream of being an internationally renowned rock star. :cool:

I remember all of the little girls wanted to be vets and all of the little boys wanted to be police officers (but only for the shootouts). I wanted to own a business. A big one.
I swear we just had a thread similar to this... or maybe that was another forum... seeing as I'm currently an active member of eight forums, that one's most likely... x_x
Anyways, I wanted to be, in order of age... a cardiologist (hey, I was born with a heart defect, I was seeing cardiologists all the time the first few years of my life. I guess I decided I wanted to be one. XD), an artist, an author, a firefighter, a doctor (in general), a veternarian, a horse trainer, a chemist, and an animator.
I went to college in film, because it was the closest thing Montana State University had to animation.
I'm going to graduate with a bachelor's degree in film in a few months... and I still have no idea what I want to be when I grow up.

A farmer on the roof of a tower block of flats near where I used to live, then paleontologist, an accountant. Just started a physics degree so those dreams went bye bye :D

I wanted to be rich and beyond that I never had an answer for those future questions. I used to literally put "rich". I love money but not effort, and it's such a cruel combination.

I wanted to be a DJ for a radio station because I thought that the bands that I heard on the radio actually sang in person at the station and if I was a DJ this would mean that I would be able to see all of them. I was very young at the time. :)

for some reason, when i think back to the first/second grade - a police officer. i don't know absolutely why, but that is at the bottom of my list of career preferences now.

First, I wanted to be an architect. Then, I wanted to be a pilot in the Air Force.
I remember my mother telling me a story from when i was little, and we were talking in a cab. and i said sumthing about wanting to be a surgeon, so i can could "cure" my mother when her heart stopped... god i hated that story!
through out my childhood, ive wanted to be a doctor, lawyer, wrestler or boxer oh and rapper..
Heh, when I was a toddler I said I wanted to make cartoons.
Then when I left school, I dreamed of being a Travel Agent or Pathologist or Fashion Designer. Then I definetly said I wanted to own a coffee house.
Now I'm aiming towards Computer Games Programming. I still want a coffee house. :)

I said I wanted to be a nurse in kindergarten, then a couple of years later I realized I'd have to give people shots so I changed my mind and decided to be an engineer.

Ever since I was able to think for myself I wanted to be a Jet Fighter Pilot. Not an airline Pilot, not an Astronaut but a Jet Fighter Pilot....I think it has something to do with being born in 1985 and having a brother who is 15 years older than me...(top gun was released in 1985 and for the first 13 years of my life and still today remains one of my favourite all time films)

Hmm... when I was a wee little midget I used to want to ba a Paleontologist/Geologist....until I realized how boring rocks and fossilized stuff was to me. I once saw a program on deep undersea life on tv....ever since then I've wanted to be a marine biologist.
honestly? when i was 5 i wanted to be the red ranger but sadly that didn't work out....they said i was too young(joke) but seriously i did want to be the red ranger
