Ugly Betty is awesome. I want to marry Betty. It's my second favourite show next to Lost, and if Betty was one of the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 or whatever you crazy kids call it these days it would be the best thing since sliced bread.

I think it's pretty cool, but it does remind me an awful lot of the film 'The Devil Wears Prada'. :eep:
I guess its pretty good ( it being successful and all ), but I hate the type of humor it throws at you. Thus I dont watch it.
Actually, Ugly Betty is a ripoff of a Mexican soap opera called "Betty la Fea." They used to give it here in Puerto Rico some time ago.
Ugly Betty looks really funny, I want to watch it. :)
Betty isn't that ugly, and it's not really funny.
One thing I dont understand is that she apparantly knows everything about the fashion industry, yet cant dress well herself. Makes no sense.
How ugly is this ugly Betty anyway?
The braces are the only bad thing.
America Ferrera actually goes to my school.
Anyone else catch her acceptance speach at the golden globes? Girl had me in tears. Love her.
But I love The Office more. Seriously, how can anyone possibly choose to watch Ugly Betty over The Office?
Hey she looks like me except the braces :D I haven't seen it but I saw an article on the girl who plays her and she seems pretty cool. I would watch it, except I don't watch tv.
Its okay, I watch it every now and then. I don't find it funny though, and she isnt really that ugly xD
Oh, I know a lot of uglier persons than her. There's nothing ugly about her that she can't fix (for free too) if she wanted to.

What she really looks like.
I think the show is adorable. It's true it's not the funniest thing on the planet, but it's not really supposed to be. It's equal parts drama and comedy.
I don't think she is ugly at all either, but I also think that's sort of the point. She works at a fashion magazine with people who think of her as hideous, but really she isn't. Maybe it's a commentary on standards or something. Or they just can't make her ugly even though they tried, that too.
It's either commentary on the ridiculously high standards of the fashion industry, or it's just ironic.
I haven't had the chance to see Fugly Betty yet, but it looks funny. Although it IS on ABC, home of Full House, America's Funniest Home Videos and (ick) According to Jim.
I saw the first episode and part of another a couple of weeks ago. Channel 4 billed it as a comedy, but it's not. Which would be alright if it was a good something else... but it's not.
It doesn't really seem to work on any level.
God, that sounds harsh. It's not terrible, it just doesn't evoke anything in me.
Is ABC showing a rerun tonight?
