To be honest I don't really think I have a favourite "townsperson".

Hmmm.... I like the guy who sells me an esper in FFVI, because he's actually more useful than random banter.

I liked any of the people in towns who run around in circles, especially the ones where it's 2 or more doing so, so I can screw up their pattern by jumping in front of one and stopping them for a second or 2.
Also that random kid in Vector who healed you for 1 HP every time you talked to him.
