do you eat dogs? is this really true???????????????

I'm sure it's just grossly exaggerated.
No, the human fetus thing is totally true though.
Thread closing countdown: 5, 4, 3, 2....
Well, I don't know that the ghost person is drunk. I think they're just trying to be funny.
EDIT: Also, I think I just blew Poetically Pathetic's mind.
No he is right I' m pretty hammered right now.
EDIT: OR AM I?
Okay, JAVIER. You need to calm down just a tiny little bit, okay? We shouldn't call people any names. :)
He's got a point.
and a pink title by dawn :P
My mind is definitely blown now.
I'm kind of disappointed there wasn't a reference to slanty eyes yet. Those asians are a silly folk!
ps i do not mean to be offend, i was told this, i like asians
Mean names, names that people don't go by, Javier.
(oh that made me snirk)
>>> People in china eat dogs..
They do. I’ve seen them do it before.
I know a Chinese man who eats cats.
He also owns a Chinese Restaurant.
Would you like to know a secret about his Chinese Restaurants?
(SPOILER)They do NOT serve cat and dog. The Chinese Man knows that chicken is cheaper to buy and easier to acquire for food preparation purposes. Plus, his customers do not want to eat cat when they order chicken or beef! He only saves cats to feed himself!
On a seperate note, I would like to try cat or dog someday. I just can't justify killing a cat in my mind, though. I mean, where's the meat? It's gotta be tough as heck too, gotn't it?
Meat is meat.
pix or it didn't happen
shenanigans
My wife, who is from the Philippines told me that some of the backwards people(like Hillbillies in the United States) eat dog, but not the urban and rural folks. This is just what she told me, I'm not a witness to it.
But i can tell you one thing though. One time at home I wanted to use a bag of rice as a punching bag to condition my hands for Karate class and she freaked and tore into me big time. :( . Said it was Baaaaaaaad to hit rice like that.
I heard dogs are stringy. Yum.
Up there they eat anything. Not down here though.
Anyone can eat a dog. It all comes down to whether you're a dog person or not. :chef:
I don't eat dogs so no! >:[
But I know they eat dogs in Cambodia ...
Things I have done this morning:
- eat dogs
- do calculus
- eat flied lice
- kung fu
-_-
asian pride!
Kinda reminds me of my anthropology class when we were discussing perceptional categorizations and applying it to both marriage and eating habits of various cultures. I believe in Western culture dogs and cats are closely associated with humans thus it is taboo to eat them. I imagine in other cultures where their views are different that it is quite possible that they do eat dog or cat, but as far as I am aware of I cannot think of a culture or people that make it regular practise.
Also, if you are starving eventually survival instincts will override any of those culturally constructed taboos on eating cat or dogs. As inappropriate as it is, it is a "dog eat dog" kinda world.
EDIT: I need sleep and I over think things too much.
Sausage Dog = MADE OF SAUSAGE.
I'm nice to Asians because they all have magical ninja powers. It's true.
The Laotians and Koreans both eat dog, if I recall correctly.
I think you ought to realise a lot of that got started up during the vietnamese and korean wars, whether or not they did/do eat dogs is regardless in my eyes as to the reason they ate/eat dogs. I mean if you we're being raided by any sod who came along and took your chickens ect for food you'd eat the dog too.
I eat hot dogs, and it seems perfectly normal to me.
Yes, they do eat dogs in some parts of Asia. Cats too. I personally don't eat other carnivores.
They don't all eat dogs of course, but some do. They eat all sorts of animals. They eat things like Shark fin soup, an Tiger penis.
I'm not native to China so I personally haven't though I know some people who have.
My ex's boyfriend ate his cat because his family didn't want it to go to waste after they killed it because it had fleas. True story.
They killed a cat for having fleas? Sick.
Does eating hotdogs countz?
Yes, and we also eat humans, babies, cats, and the odd hamster.
At least that would be what I would say if I were Asian
Poor dogs and cats, they are too cute to be eaten. :(
I eat cows and sheep!.
I disagree.
I've eaten various types of bovine testicles, but a tiger penis just sounds strange to me. I mean, why can't it be feline penis? What's wrong with this poor tiger that you gotta castrate him in order to feel like you've used up all the edible meat, and not a lion or a panther or a, I don't know, prairie dog?
No, you know what? I am now officially against eating the sexual organs off of any animal that isn't castrated for other purposes as well.
The eating of it isn't too strange, but that doesn't mean I condone killing tigers for their sexual organs.
Hell...If people are munching cats and dogs...
They might as well munch me too!!!
You know you should really be more specific about the word asian. :eep:
By the looks of this thread you mean Far Eastern Asians right?
My evil uncle (no lie he really is evil) eats sheep kidneys. :(
I would eat anything that tatses good but that doesn't mean I wanna know what I'm eating.:(
I read half this thread before I realized we weren't actually talking about hot dogs.
I eat chinese food every two weeks or so. If it's made from cat or dog, then I've just got to say "Man, that is some tasty cat or dog."
did you know they ate other peoples in Virginia (200 years ago)
cannibalism ... worse than eating cats and dogs i believe? Also, if you've read The Jungle then you probably won't want to eat another hotdog for quite awhile.
and no, i don't know if they eat cats or dogs for real.
People are much tastier than munching on animal ... sex organs. :greenie:
:| This is rather remiscent of an old troll thread about lesbians. :eyebrow:
Only click this link if you find my joke too obscure to understandRemember this?
?! I don't ... think ... I've ever eaten dog before ...
I know for sure Filipinos don't eat dogs. I'm not sure about other Asian countries.
I haven't had dog, but I did eat chicken feet and cow hoof while in China. Both were actually pretty good. I would like to try dog meat at some point, though.
I have heard it mentioned that cat tastes akin to that of ham, and that dog has a sickly, stringy texture to it.
However, this is only form word of mouth, and I have no real sources to back such claims.
i don't know what to think of that. but i was watching a Chinese show yesterday where a eunuch had served the emperor a plate of what appeared to be one. well, there are many strange things on the menu anyway, 99% of what i would not have my chopsticks touching.
HOW DO YOU KNOW FER SURE!
I for one know that Siopao (a variation of a Chinese meat bun) use Cat meat. I should know, I did the stuffing in a restaurant before.
One indigenous tribe in the Philippines I forgot the name (source:Philippine Daily Inquirer) eat dog meat for rituals. And some town drunks use dog meat (sold very cheap) for their pulutan. Pulutan is sort of like a food, like bar nuts for instance, that you eat while drinking liquor.
In Laos my mom once saw a sign advertising dog as an item on the menu.
Meat is meat. We eat cows, sheep, deer, pig, all sorts of animals. I don't really see why it's a problem. I mean, sure, I myself would probably prefer not to eat cat or dog, but that doesn't mean that others shouldn't.
Oh, and in Vietnam I do know that they sell chicken embryos as food, too. My dad says that it doesn't taste bad, but you just don't want to look at it whilst eating.
I had dog while living in China. Different parts have it with different solstices, but it's decreased over time in popularity due to western outrage and, potentially, just general cultural shifts in China.
One of my students had her dog stolen whilst she was walking him. That boy got ate.
