The only extras in the scene are an axe and a bag.
Now, he's obviously coming home from work of some sort. I dunno. His axe is a hand axe. It's winter, so more likely than not he's been out chopping wood. Everybody may be happy because he's going to start a bonfire or something to warm everybody up.
I don't understand the bag. I don't know enough about Swedish Bag Symbolism to make a justified call on it.
For the sake of argument, let's assume that that bag has deep significance in accordance with dark and powerful meanings behind the scene and modern Swedish culture. Yeah? In that case you're right.
In every other case, I'm obviously right.
And since nobody seems to be able to contest my observations, maybe you'd better think for yourself before you smartmouth me.
Edit: Oh dang, it looks like they're wearing short clothes. It must be summertime, and the scene isn't well colored. The boys are wrestling in the yeard? It still looks like we have a snowman in the front, covered by the title...
Of course, Swedes live way up in the north, and are probably very well acclamated to the icy weather. I mean, summer is prolly cold anyway, so they may as well wear their skirts anythme throughout the year. Whatever.
All white may symbolize that it's moonlit and they're going through that long stretch of nothing-but-night.
Either way, the bag and axe is indefinable to me other than signs of work that daddy's done that has made everybody happy because he maintains their lovely house and vast property.
Hey! The bag might be food! Maybe be's a hunter/butcher like me!
Everybody is hungry.
And a Swede's gotta understand that when a Swede is hungry, he's gotta eat to maintain the impeccable beauty of his life.
