Chess!
It's a good thinking game.
It tests your brain's tactical capabilities, and so I believe that testing a person's grasp of chess is a good way to test his ability to think on his feet and handle situations. I don't waste too much time with people before discovering what kind of chess player they are.
Also, it's a fun game, and I used to have talent (which has by now rotted into useless and underused old knowledge). My tournament records are far from ammaculate, but I still get hyped up on study and play competitively on occasion.

Suikoden II and SMAC because they are timeless classics.
Shadow of the Collosus, but that'll change soon.

Tales of Eternia, my favorite game from my favorite series.
Seiken Densetsu 3. Never sure why though.
Phantasy Star Universe, Dragon Quest IV, Dragon Quest VIII, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, and Guilty Gear XX#Reload tie as my number 1 favourite games.
Tie between Starcraft: Brood War and Final Fantasy IIIj. Why? Because Starcraft is a quality RTS that took a system, and balanced it; it is the influence of many games afterwards, and a simple, yet addictive game. FFIIIj, because of the customizability, interesting gameplay, and soundtrack.

Baldur's Gate II as my favorite Non-FF Game, and FFVII as my favorite of all time.

World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy VI Advanced are the only games I have played for a very long time. Neither of those are my favorite though. That honor goes to Suikoden 2.
Right now, my favourites include VF5, Formula 1 Championship Edition, and Ring of Red. I never got around to beating Ring of Red so I decided to pick it up again. My last save file was almost 5 years old, but the game's so long that I refuse to start over again. I'll keep going from there.
Metal Gear Solid 3, KH2 and FFX
Right now it's probably Final Fantasy XII. I normally don't have a single favourite game because I simply love many games out there, but for the moment it's the one I'm the most interested in. Can't get enough of Fran :cool:
Definately Xenosaga Episode III: Also Spracht Zarathustra.
I guess its Street Fighter 2 Turbo.
Virtua Fighter 5, despite its gimpedness and my lack of an arcade stick.
VF5 doesn't seem as 'hard to get into' as past VFs were. It isn't quite dumbed down, but certain things feel easier to do while still having a slew of advanced stuff. The hardest part of getting into VF5 is getting a PS3.

Final Fantasy VI. I'm waiting for the awe of Twilight Princess to leave me before I commit to saying it's my new favourite game.

I'd say Twilight Princess, but probably nothing will ever top Civilization IV in my book.
I play Dynasty Warriors 5 at home, Tekken 5 when I'm at uni and Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection when I'm at an arcade.
But I haven't been playing any games compulsively, it's just a little bit here and there.
Madden NFL 07, even though football season is over...
At the moment its Legend of Dragoon cause I beat everything else and I dont want to play through DMC 3 anymore.
My thought exactly! Its so hard these days to pick one favorite game (especially since the games industry has a history that dates back over 20 years) so im just gonna quote my most played game at the moment: FF12.Quote:

My favourite game at present would have to be 'Resident Evil 4'. It's soooo good I could boof it. I never thought there could be a Resident Evil that was better than the second one but here it is :jess:

The game I'm curently play and truly love is FFX but from all of the games I have played my non-ff is Gothic2: Night of the Raven and Grandia1. :rolleyes2
My best FFs are FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX and probably will become FFX :cool:
