so i was doing some levelling to beat some marks and was killing skeletons in lhusu mines, with the intention of getting a high chain. before i knew it i had a chain of 130 enemies.
before i get too ran away with my self i wanted to know ot r the highest chains uve all got? and where were they? killing what?
my 2nd best was 109
My highest was 140 in the Lhusu Mines, so far. Before level 20, not sure when though.
I'm not that awesome yet :(
More than 999; the counter stops at 999.
This can be done easily in the Stillshrine of Miriam.
999 bloody hell! my best was 156 skeltons In Lhusu mines, am gonna go back and see how many i can get now (nned some gil anyway)
Like 600 something in the Henne Mines, the bats gave killer EXP. It was straight up leveling on that day.
150 then I got bored :D
For a second there I thought you were all talking about quickening chains and almost shat myself.
Err, I think my highest chain was 30 or something. I only really levelled up when my second party needed it, and generally the fauna was pretty diverse.

About 90 for me too.
Over 130 in the Lhusu mines. Can't remember the number exactly. I only go for huge chains like that when I need cash or something. It's way to boring to do regularly, and I could never make it to several hundred myself. I have neither the time nor the patience.
Around 200 for me, in the mines with skeletons too.

Like 340 something in the NamYensa Sandsea. It's really easy there, because you have those annoying little humanoids.
If you can avoid the pumpkin heads, it goes very far.
I go 50 in the Lhusu mines, I fell asleep for an hour after.
Fighting Negalmuur is easier, faster, and doesn't require you to even be present. Jack the speed up and walk away for a number of hours and you'll see a 999 chain, and notice that your characters have gained a few levels.Quote:

He is talking about Shield Wyrms in the Cerobi Steppe (north of Balfonheim)
Ring Wyrm is a Hunt mark
all i know was my best was sumthin like 101 at the sand sea. i heard from variuos sites that getting 300 or so gives you speachial bazaar items. im in the prosess of compleating it again cuz i want to get all the side quests but iv only managed to find 2 or 3?

I got 114 last night in against the skeletons in the Lhusu Mines. Only got 102 this morning.

Never killing the same monster twice in a row is also a chain. Hard to do it though.

999 in the Stilshrine using Negalmuur, but without him, 210 wolves in the Estersand. What? They go down easy... :p Great way of earning LP, too.
I got a chain of about 440, in golmore gungle. I sold the loot the panthers dropped and got lots of gil.

My newest recored was in the Stilshrine of Miriam I killed Zombies to gain, EXP and LP. Got a chain on 350 before I got tired of it, just through walking through two zones nearby escaping from all enimes that wasn´t Zombies made it easy to respawn all the Zombies over and over again.
Well, the best I have got was.... 8. I don't go out soly for chains, just for lvling. But when I go to the luhsu mines, ill think ill start chaining the money makers. Who would thought that bone frgments would sell so high?:eek:

You can get an infinite chain quite easily in the Lhusu Mines. The room where you fight (or run from) Ba'Gamnan and the room right before it have nothing except skeletons in it, and each room will respawn while you clear out the other. Maybe once you unlock the other side of the mine that changes, but before that it is really easy to get chains however high you want.
207, killing Redwings in the Henne Mines. I left because I maxed my loot out.
Somewhere in the hundreds...I left gambits on while on the leviathan by accident...and hell it worked to my advantage
