The Kingdom Hearts version was the best IMO. Between AC & VII, i'd go with VII's.

AC's is better to listen to in a movie situation, VII's is better in the RPG situation.

And I like VII's version better. Maybe if I had heard the other one first I would have liked that better, but VII is so nostalgic! lala
I think I likve VII's better, but AC's version is pretty cool, too; the addition of the guitar in Advent:OWA and JENOVA made them both real;ly awesome.
I like the AC version better.

I'm just kidding of course, just my very odd way of expressing my love of rock/metal versions of normally non-rock/metal songs.
Whether A:OWA is metal or rock is up to you. People are too picky about the definitions these days.
I think both 7's and AC's are good, and work well in their own places they were played in :p KH's was interesting, but I didn't find it as nice as the original, it seemed less ominous and stuff somehow :p

Agreed. If we're talking about which version is better to listen to outside the movie/game situation, though, I'd probably say A:OWA. However, FFVII AC soundtrack has the problem that all the songs are way too loud, and since I'm too lazy to tone down the volume every time an AC song starts to play in WinAmp, I'd rather just listen to the More Friends Concert version of A:OWA than the AC version of A:OWA. I think the More Friends Concert version of A:OWA is the best version if you don't have problems with the occasionally screaming fans. :pQuote:

Both are suitable and enjoyable in their respective contexts. Just listening to them on a CD, I prefer FFVII's.
On a side note the AC version calls to mind Trans-Siberian Orchestra every time I hear it.
Both are great, but I'm going with the AC version.
Trivia: The beginning of One Winged Angel is loosely based on the beginning of Purple Haze.
Advent Children hands down.
Advent Children, if it didn't have all that senseless stuff in the middle. But my favourite is the full orchestra version.
