What do you mean "still"? I've never rented video games.
i will never buy a game outright.

always rent first, no matter the reviews, i MUST know if i like the game before i buy it.
I never rent games. Did as a kid when I couldn't get into town to buy games for the super, though thats no longer a problem.
I never rent games before I buy them, if im interested I buy it, if it turns out its a crappy game, I sell it, and buy a new one. Though that does not happen often. Besides, the games I like only get a rating of like, five and below, but its still a great game in my eyes.
Like Cold Fear for the PS2. It got a low rating, but it turned out to be one of my favorite games. Most games with high reviews, I do not tend to like as much, I have no clue why.
Renting has now gone the way of downloading for me. I don't feel like spending money on a game unless it's worth it.
I used to rent games and then I stopped and then a Movie Gallery opened up in town and now I do again. I have one of those card things that gives me seven week-long rentals for the price of two. :P
I used to rent games.
Now I steal them.
I used to rent all the time. But my favorite video store was run out of business by Movie Gallery and now I don't rent anymore. I always keep my reciept anyway, so if I don't like the game I'll just return it.
I used to rent games pretty hardcoreishly, but not anymore.

I've never rented video games, but I've borrowed some from friends who have rented them. That's close enough...

The last one I rented was Dirge of Cerberus prices have gone up in renting games used to be just $4.
it has dropped a great deal for me, but the last time i rented was sometime during summer last year. i had a late fee after that. it's not worth it and i don't spend as as time as i used on video games.
I used to, many years ago, but... I just don’t care anymore.
Besides, they outlawed renting in NZ.
I used to rent games regularly when the Playstation first came out, that's how I discovered FFVII. Over the years though I've chanced buying games, but anything I don't want to keep I just trade them, it's a lot better.
Renting is very rare nowadays. Only if I'm absolutely unsure of a game that I'm thinking about buying.
I used to...I haven't in a long time, though.
